  1. Ha, ha. I do the same with wife my wife and kids in the car. I keep asking my kids, "So, if you had a platoon of infantry in those woods and a heavy machine gun for support, how would you get you guys over that open field and take that farmhouse."

    My wife just rolls her eyes.

    Yet my kids always respond with something like ... "Well, fire-fix-flank-finish, dad. Pin them down, and then maybe move two squads along the fence and hedges in the back there and assault the farmhouse. Are there any mortars for support?"

    I can't tell you how proud that makes me feel. :D

    Awesomeness! It think that's why my son went into the Army after me. You never know they might one day, god forbid they have to use that knowledge you parted with them. Especially the day Terminator 6 comes out?

  2. I have been trying to get these guys to use there Demo charges, but can't. especially when I need a mouse hole in a wall, or take down a wall to get through a perimeter. Many time these red guys are hiding in buildings away from the battle area and I have to hunt them down. For instance the German's airport Attack in Syria. I know I just need to stick to the objectives but many times there in a reverse attack from behind area. Is there away to get the tanks to take a wall down all-so?

    I first start a mission and try to scroll the middel mouse button to zom the min and max hieght it will not work nor will the settings for W,A,S,D,

    But when I go in to the settings and jsut click on the min and max hieghts and save. it works but I have to do this every-time I start the game.

    TOW3 im not having this issue.

    everytime I start the game I have to go into camera settings and reapply the zoom control.

    other wise if I dont the camera will not zoom in or out.

    This could be caused by the game not being run in Admin mode. Generally if you're not running a game as the Admin settings won't be saved when you restart the game.

    Right-click the shortcut and either select "Run as Administrator" from the drop down menu or go to the properties and under the Compatability tab tick the "Run as an administrator" box.

    If that doesn't work i would suggest going over to the battlefront forums, ToW is quite dead here so a resposne might take a while, and they also have tech support people to assist you at BF.

    I'm well versed in the Vista Win7x64 bit security controls and no that didnt work..

    I think it might have something to do with the new R.A.T. 7 mouse I just installed.

    As a matter of fact, I have real-time memory reporting that I run in my vista side-bar on my second monitor. I don't stare at it, so this is from (fuzzy) memory -- please correct me if it sounds off.

    That windows side bar eats huge amount of ram you turn that off, for gaming and you will see a big diffrence..

    Turn this off and your problems will go away...

  6. Yeah, I tried another game and it crashed again with the same message.... I sent an inquiry back to Hewlett Packard, but right now it looks like I won't be able to get through an entire scenario without experiencing "Run time Error #3 (Trap)"....

    Which video card are you running? GTX 260 try turning the water in the game down to medium or low...and uncheck HDR, and uncheck ambient oclusion.

  7. lol, I put the infantry in the crawl mod as suggested and they still get blowed up by the mines is there some sort of sweeper mod I'm supposed to put them in?

    Also I was getting single small red square for the point of fire to the ground now it's a huge rectangle, something wrong with that..

  8. Also noticed for some reason, when I get my infantry into the same trench as the enemy infantry they don't see each other and when they do I get allot of suicidal attacks..

    They will disappear reappear and then can't figure out to shoot or throw a grenade, most of the time they just throw a grenade at the enemy standing right next to them killing everyone and themselves.

    I tried to get the squad leader to cover with smoke but he will not throw it..

  9. Hi guys me again great job on this version much more mature then the first releases of TOW series and further development.

    First thing the infantry tend to be invisible when looked at from certain areas not sure if that video problem.. I can see the weapons from these avatars floating seemingly in the air but nobody holding them..

    Would like to close some of the ui tools for video purposes..

    when the Air to ground engagements start..

    The units seem much more responsive then in the past considering higher end CPU's to accomplish this. 4 core is much better than 2 core or single, so you guys that are having issues with stutters and slow response time from the avatars, you probably need an up grade; all the calculation the CPU is doing is tracking all the units on the system and trying to keep up with the graphics and physics as well.

    All in all not a bad experiance on my end. Sig has my setup specs..

  10. Shift is used for stacking similar waypoint orders like Assault or Move, so it can't be assigned for other functions.

    if you look at it in the assignment area it has shft+A for smoke and shft+tab for previous unit under usser commands. assigned as default on hot keys.
