known being worked on I hope; that was on my list to them 1C.Originally posted by Cincinatvs:Hi
I installed the patch and excepted I lost my previous campaigns and all saved games all seems working, but when I exit from TOW I got two warning messages :
"Runtime error#3 (Trap)
please, contact the vendor of this application"
"Fatal error : crash during termination"
No problems to launch TOW or retrieving new save game when I run TOW again.

to be honest with you that error list actually only works for something else, so I would try this,
What OS mode 32bit or 64bit?
Also try tow setup.exe then go to where your game is and open up the directory and see if your 1.4 exe is in there, if so run that version see if that works. Try shadows off and Sound off do 2 seperate test I want to see something.
it looks like it might be open GL causing the propblem.

probably barely knows where the on button is?Originally posted by ZONN:Well I have been unable to get my TOW DVD version to run.Although reports indicate getting it to run is just barely more saisfying than not.
I've had a gutful of all the so-called fix tweaks.
This game should not have been released and in MY opinion Battlefront has tarnished it's otherwise superb reputation with this woeful exercise.
My question; Can I swap this unplayed , unplayable, TOW DVD for the upcoming C.M. Strike Force game?
Well how bout it?

No; but give us your system spec. Can't help with out system info.Originally posted by RobboG:Just had a CTD and there is a file called sound.log time stamped at the time it crashed. The contents are below ...
-- new session --
num channels 16
cannot open file for reading
Cannot open audio file samples/Error_empty.wav
Does this mean anything and does it have to do with the CTD?
Running current patch BTW.

Did you run the TOW setup before launch?Originally posted by Mongo:I've been running the game from the download until the patch.
I uninstalled the game, cleaned things out with ccleaner and jv16 powertools, turned off my antivirus and installed the game from the disk, started it up and entered my license number and then installed the patch.
The game doesn't start. I've tried all of the fixes in your faq and troubleshooting guide, including doing another install. It doesn't start when I click on tow or tow 1.4 in the game file.
I have an Opteron 185.

Naw, that games 20 years old and the time on if they kept it EULA licensed on the list, then they would have something but since they don't and its a totally different game no law suit.

Bus I beleave your PSU (power supply Unit) is at fault here you have a 3.0 ghz is this a dual core?Originally posted by bus:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by bus:

ToW demanding lot of “computer power”, and My PSU is too small to supply my CPU, RAM and my Graphic card with that kind of power.
My suggestion to others (which have similar problems) is try to disconnect some drive and try to play ToW.
My computer:
P4 3,0GHz
2GB ram
GeForce 6600 (256MB)
DVD and DVD/R (did discon. the DVD)
PSU 330W
and your GeForce 6600 Is this PCIe
If so you really should be running a PSU of 500watts or more with 12v rails of 32amps. </font>
