  1. You should really think about upgrading your system if your still using an AGP card.

    Click on this link>

    Tweeks guide

    Exerts:

AGP Aperture Size: This setting determines the allocation of physical RAM for use by an AGP graphics card, should it become necessary. A better description can be found in this AGP Aperture Size FAQ. To decide how big it should be keep in mind the following: (1) keep it above 32MB, as an Aperture Size below 32MB will disable AGP texturing - reducing your performance greatly in games; (2) the greater the amount of Video RAM on your graphics card, the smaller this setting should be; (3) Values between 64MB and 256MB show no real performance difference; and (4) Using larger values can result in more crashes such as General Protection Faults and potential texture corruption. So with all of these in mind, I recommend an Aperture Size of 128MB for most AGP graphics cards. If you have an older 32MB graphics card, set the Aperture to 256MB. If you experience a large number of crashes or texture glitches, try lowering the Aperture to 64MB regardless of your Video RAM amount.

  3. THe game has low expectations of running on a mobile system Maximum setings:

*** The following intergrated Video Chipsets and Video Cards are expressely NOT supported:

    Mobile Intel® 900, 915, 925, 82945G or 945GM/GU Express Chipsets

    Nvidia GF440MX and earlier

ATI Radeon 9200 and earlier The following intergrated Video Chipsets has been shown to result in poor performance

    ATI Radeon Xpress

Minimum: * Windows Vista: Windows Vista (32 bit) is not "officially" supported in this release although we have tested with it and have found that if you have the latest, non-beta drivers for your video and sound card installed, it should work.

** Windows Vista 64bit: Due to an incompatability between Vista 64 bit and Theatre of War, the Mission Editor will NOT function in Vista 64 bit.

Bus you know how to go into your Bios and see if your set up for half of Video ram 256 not the whole amount to 128.

    Fast write enabled?

    What do you mean?

I have sat my BIOS to 256MB. Shall I change it to 128? </font>

For sure, having awaited so much for so many problems is a bit frustrating.

Nevertheless, personnaly i won't play the game until a valuable patch is out(and the fact that i have time to play...)

Just hope it won't take as long as the development...

I won't blame each day on several threads on the forum as many people are doing (it seems that it became a 'fashion') :(

But my reaction is that i won't preorder CM shock forces as i wanted to do it before.

I will wait for the game to be released, played and tested by the communauty before rushing on the preorder button as i did for TOW.

To summarize, i'm waiting for the patch, and will be more cautious on purchasing games even if there were created by talented companies such as Battlefront.

Only people doing nothing, makes no error. ;)

I think we are all a little bit responsibles for problems in the game, as we were putting each day more pressure...do you want to repeat history...? :D

    Patch is out? redface.gif

yes you need the video codecs they provided in the DL or DVD. How much ram on that video usually you only have to half of whats in it.
