  1. Nooo! I snoozed so I lose. Oh well, I joined the second server. It looks pretty cool. Now anxiously awaiting my first online play since picking up the game at release.
  2. I will try to set up hamachi by next weekend. I have been away from the game for a long time based upon performance issues. When I reinstalled with the latest patch I was very pleased. I hope to test it out online next weekend if there is anyone around. I would make great target practice for anyone interested.
  3. That would be a good analogy if you had to purchase the NASCAR programing to watch the races and then found out it didn't work on a certain brand of T.V. I'm still miffed over the Nvidia 8800 video card bug. How many brands of video cards are there? ATI and Nvidia? Not including a larger population of beta testers with a wider range of video hardware is hard to imagine. It seems fitting that the distributor is Paradox. The paradox for me is that you need a good rig to run the game. However, having an 8800 card makes it run worse.
  4. The problem is different people using/attempting to use different methods of finding opponents. Sigh . . . we need an IN-GAME chatroom. : (
  5. Moon, As I've mentioned in another thread, I have tried the MP Lobby but have never been able to sign in. Can you tell me how? In regards to the toolbar, I'm hesitant to install something else that will always be running in the background, even when I'm not playing CMSF. Has anyone else tried this toolbar? Thanks
  6. It's sad that threads like these are all people have to find opponents. It's the 21st century! We need a functional match making chat room!
  7. I've seen CM:SF run equally poorly on a 8800 GTS system as well as a 7900 system, so I don't think the performance problems can be blamed on a particular card.
  8. I think that would be a fair assessment, especially given the difficulty in trying to find an online match with no chat rooms.
  9. LOL . . . I'll only buy if it teaches me how to find and join multiplayer games.
  10. Anybody? Has anyone here been able to log into the MPLobby site?
  11. LOL . . .while many people with Vista and current gen video cards gnash their teeth.
  12. It is still saying around 40 people online. I'm starting to think that this is just the amount of people signed in on the forum. It doesn't look like it even has a chatroom so maybe this is not what I'm looking for. In regards to the Battlefront toolbar does anyone have any exeperience with this? Is it recommended? Does it stay on your desktop at all times? Thanks
  13. Can you tell me how to log onto the MPLobby site? It tells me that 40 people are online but I can't figure out how to log in. My forum name and password aren't working.
  14. Let me know when you find one. If you want you and anyone else can add me to their MSN Messenger . . black_rabbit_of_inle @hotmail.com
  15. I'm just curious. Will there ever come a day that Battlefront will make some sort of multiplayer matchmaking service that does not involve: a. me posting to a forum b. me writing down IP addresses c. me having to waste what little game time I have on weeknights hunting and searching for online opponents (having me IM players online who are probably not in the mood to play does not count) Will there ever come a day when I can visit ONE site of CM:SF players in REAL TIME and connect to an online game from there? Any chance? Ever? PLEASE . . . It is the 21st century. Something so basic should not require the jumping through of so many hoops.
