  1. There is difference between firing planes at big heights and defence against shturmoviks. Firing at large height means that the haight, where the HE projectile will explode is defined, and there is not nessesatry to have a dierect hit. 88 mm flak was primaly used for this target, as i think.
  2. I mean not the results of attack. I dont want to say something wrong about defenders. I just want to show, that controll of air armies was possible without falling of planes and etc.
  3. And about controll of the planes. Attakck of Perl Harbor by Chinis was not a job of hundreds planes, doing what they want, but a planned, well-controlled attack. And there were some waves, not one. And each contained more than 100 planes (perhaps, much more, i telling 100 not to lie). So why same operation couldnt be made by Soviet Airforces? And reasonable questions: What friquencies were used for communications of planes, and what type of resievers-trancievers.
  4. Of course, it wasnt flying piece of steel. It had mass 5873 kg, and 400-600 kg for bobm charge. Engine 1500-1600 (at start) hp. Ju-87: 5720 kg, bobm charge 1800 kg. Engine 1400 hp. Produced nearly 5000. As stories tell, IL-2 was able to return from battle with holes in carrier flatness, where people can get throu. From the "biography" of one plane-150 flights and 600 shell-holes. http://www.battlefront.ru/luft3.htm
  5. The other question, what projectiles were used in this attack. I wached on TV (it is our time, so it is unlikely to be propaganda), that main role in destuction of German panzers was playing light heat bomb. Its weight was lesser then 10 kg (as i remember), so it was not nessesary to aim perfectly, because they used that bombs in large numbers. And panzer top was very vunerable for that. P.S. Relly, AFV was beter to translate as vehicle, but i thought that mention of Pz div was enough. There were 36 163 IL-2 produced during the war. As some sources tell, armor of IL-2 could stop even 20 mm projectiles, and Ju-87 was armed only with anti-bullet protection. [ June 19, 2006, 05:21 AM: Message edited by: Inola ]
  6. The effectiveness of “ring of death” was shown under Kursk. Massive stroke of IL-2 on German positions of 9th Pz div on 7th July 43 caused loss of 70 its tanks for 20 minutes. Two hours of non-stop strokes destroyed 270 tanks and 2000 causalities in 3rd Pz div. After four hours, 17th Pz div had lost 240 AFVs from 300 and in fact was no more able to fight. From translator-different numbers of divisions is not a mistake. Interesting-one Pz div consist of 60 tanks, as I remember. Is it mistake of author? Sorry for doubl. 7. In one part of artillery, Soviets had superiority before the war-in rocket artillery. “Katiusha” was a deadly thing from its development until end of war. It was ZIS 6 truck, equipped with start point for 16 rockets 132 mm caliber. They could be launched for 10 seconds to nearly 8000 m distance with great destructive power. German solders even told soviets use termite in their projectiles-their parts after explosion had temperature nearly 900dgr C and ignite anything. Germans also had a rocket artillery-nebelveifer. 6-tube mortars were immobile and vulnerable because of little distance. To the end of war Germans placed 10 tubes to armored halftrack, but they hadn’t the secret of mass production of rocket projectiles. News, telling Katiusha appears in that part of front, were a great stress, especially for German infantry
  8. It is no good to take someone`s life, because it is not yours, and wasn`t created by you. Correct?
  9. Some days ago I saw interview of one member of SS legion. He was from one of Benelux counties (cant remember correct). When he was asked, “why did you join SS?” he answered “I went to Easter front to fight with bolshevism. I hate ideology, making brainwash”. He told it with so bravery face, with so confidence. And at that time I wanted to ask him-“Hitler was just a choir boy, he never killed anybody, and never ordered to do it? He never used brainwash? And Osvencim, Darhau, Treblinka were just a chance?” They really didn’t, understand at that time, what fascism was? They thought, they do well, taking people to gas cameras, shooting innocents into back of head in trenches –one line on the other?
  10. Yes, thanks a lot. Especially for a link.

  12. I mean to write a `file`, which can tell everithing abou tacticks, strategy and others. Then, this file can be uploaded to web and downloaded by any people. Anybody can see and discuss taktiks, strategy and others. For example, you want to tell your friend about interesting battle. Yon need to explain, how forces were situated, and were you moved them and everything other-not an easy job! So, if you have `command` PBEM files in archiv and include password, your friend can load this command file, and see how the deal goes(of course only every 2 of 4 minute, cant remember). Of course, you need to include some text, but it is much easier to understand, how the battle runs, even when see battlefield in descret moments of `command turns` , without movies. When i finish my next battle, i ll try to do so. [ April 14, 2006, 01:20 PM: Message edited by: Inola ]

  14. In even all games today there are different ways of experience exchange: mostly replays, that have not a `big weight` and contais informaition (mostly `movies`) about the mach. So, what can be done in CMBB on this way? I think, it is possible to exchange PBEM `command` files, which have not big size, but contains most information about forces. And is there other ways?

  16. Thanks a lot. It is so easy, just to multiply.
  17. Can somebody tell how armor quality influence on its ability to protect crew, and what is the mathemathical formulation of this effect? I am a newby, and nobody have ever given me an answer, and manual contains only main words, but is really useless.
