  2. There is one good solution- play more and read forum. After half year of trainings you will be good. Play with people, but first time you can play vs AI.
  3. The thing is that engine deck of a new tank is the most protected place from napalm of a new! tank. Whaen we have tank had been fighting some weeks, especially in cold winter, this protection would be ruined, and molotovs will become effective. Dont forget morale effect - "we are burning", which makes crews to abandon the tank. IMO, their effect is undermodelled, but not very. The thing is it should make much more marol decrease, i.e. conscripts will bail out after first throw, bu elite will not suffer at all. This is reasonable enough.

  6. I found it! It was "unrestricted" nation for AXIS side. If they chose Germans they will have 480 points, and only 400 if choose unrestricted.
  7. I and my frinds will have a tournament soo. The setup is : June 44, South, 2000 points, combined srms, medium quality, human purchase units. When I start the game, I have 480 points fo German armor, when they start, they have only 400. Division type is mech. How could such a bug apper and who is right? (no casualities and, no hanicap and none balance are set of course)
  8. You can make it yourselfe. Download ASL rettain mod by Michael Dorosh from cmmods.com and take only open ground from there. If you need it, I can mail you.
  9. I send you suitable mod for colored terrain. I think it is useful tool and help enough especially in tank duels.
  10. Cuirassier! Agree totally! If we calcolate (HE points)/(cost points) ratio it will be the best for 75mm inf. gun or regimental-it is proof of ther heigh "ulefullness". I mean T-70 not to be better than T-34 which is obviously stupi thing to declare, but bigger number of T-70s are better stug killers.
  11. For more HE I take 2-3 76.2mm regimental guns transported with M3 scoutcars. And 1-2 82mm mortars. 50mm gun is not the most widespread in 1943. Opponent is unlikly to take PAK38 at that time. I just done tests (august 43): cost ratio of T-34/T-70 is 2.5. The same is number ratio (reversed).
  12. T-70s have front armor thick emough to stop 50 mm rounds (not tungsten of rourse). I prefer platoon of T-70s and one T-34 in 1200 (or 1500) pts ME rather than 4 T-34 in 1943 (summer) because opponent has points enough only for 1 good armor, and this armor is stug.
  13. Stugs can be killed in 43 with T-70s easy enough. It is better to have 5 T-70 than 2 T-34 in ME because they can harass well and also KO stug with fast flanking (I prefer crack quality from Guards Mech).   15. Have you reloaded game after changing BMPs maually? If you havent it may be a key. If you did it, this looks like wonder.
  16. I had made a mod and a preview picture, but cant upload it to CMMODS, because I have proxy and dont have external IP. Can somebody help me and upload it there? Mod is really must-have.
  17. It must have been good game for their time (as I saw graphics from mod). Thanks for information. I think I will do the mod ( or anybode else, who can even cange some colores to look better)
  18. One question about mod. I found ASL terrain mod by Michael Dorosh to be very useful (I posted here to find it, when I lost it after installing some other mods). Is it widespread? It looks to help especially in seeing different heights of terrain. I dont know what ASL mean, but its grass is very useful itself. I thought to "recreat" this mod, deliting all non-grass BMPs, but I dont know if it is possible. I havent seen Michael Dorosh here for a long time, and dont want to be told to "steal" textures.
  19. As I just read from posts of Svirin (famous historian of WW2 in Russia), T-34 with additional plates were prodused in 1942. Additional plates were put on tanks with non-diesel engine (M-17) to prevent them from fire after being shot.
  20. I found one Soviet unit in BB very interesting. MG17 HT with 4 50 cal HMGs. It is very vunerable to MG42 and MG34, but when used keyholed, they can stop advancement of even a company. It is expensive unit, but have excellent firepower. I decided to use it more in my next battles.

In ME you can buy a scoutcar which has transport abitity, and move some infantry guns to the positions you consider to be "keys". 75 mm inf. gun (German), and 76.2 mm regimental guns are sutable for this role- you get a lot of HE for a little price. And then you can use carriers to harass (this is their main role in ME) the advancing enemy infantry. The only thing, opponents tries to have "no guns in ME" rule after some games.
  22. The most interesting thing, that Monnerheim was former officer of tzar`s army (Russian Empire`s army).
  23. IMO, sharpshooters are good idea in QB ME, especialy if they are vets and better. Light tanks in QB ME also help (especialy T-70), if you take them cracks in Gvard division. They are cheap, fast, and have a chances of KOeing inferior number of STUGs or other turretless from sides and rears.
