  1. Because of the range of small mortar off map artillery like 60mm mortars, shouldn't they be on the map. Or is because they are invisible.
  2. Looks like I have to keep on using copy and paste. I copy and paste a small section from a winter mod to a non winter mod. but I still have to blend the paste bits together so that it dosn't look like a mix of patches. So much work, makes me feel so sleepy zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Oh Wicky there is nothing wrong with your Is 2 mod, my mistake.   3. I think real time will take longer for me then wego. I will be clicking the pause button every second to survey the battle area.
  4. A qustion for you scientists. How far can you see theoreticaly if there is nothing blocking LOS. How far can you see theoreticaly due to the earths curviture. That is from a standing up position on the ground and also from a top of a two story building.
  5. Using either Gimp 2 or ACDsee5. Is it possible to swap all the pixels in the picture of a specific colour, at the same time for another colour you have choosen to replace it? What I want to be able to do is swap a summer bmp colour pixel foe a winter one. By choosing a different whitish colour to swap for each different clour used on the picture. My theory is the the new winter mod I would create would look identical to the summer mod apart from the colour. If its possible it would be the easiest way for a crap artist like me to create a winter mod.

  8. I have found the jagdpanther, elefant, lynx and early brummbar winter mods. But now I see Iam missing Yellow Marder III winter mod.
  9. Thanks David I and Sequoia. I have to look out for the jagdpanther and tiger winter mods. I found a Jagdpanther mod, but that was for cmbo. Iam disappointed at the quality of the panther winter mods compared to the Tiger winter mods. There is only Dafs panther early D and Zimorodok Hungarian panther I like. But that means all six models of the panther have to be either Dafs D panther or Zimorods panther.
  10. Not for tank battles. Some tanks have the ability to knock out other tanks at 3km range. So the game is putting an artifical limit on tanks that can knock out other tanks over the 2km range.
  11. What stops all the forces in the campaign piling into one battle map. THIS WOULD MAKE THE BATTLE UNPLAYABLE BECUSE OF THE HUGE FORCES INVOLVED. Would you have to auto resolve?
  12. Italy would also be a good choice, their army is starting to get good equipment in recent years.
  13. Do you think MickeyD it can be possible for modders to add extra mods into the game without overriding existing mods? so that extra mods can be created for building, terrain and faces that complaments the exiisting graphics.
  14. I have looked through cm mod and I havn't been able to find a Jagdpanther, Elefant, Early and Middle Brummbar and a Lynx Winter mod. Do they exsist or is anyone planning to mod them?
  15. Great work Dey, your contribusion in making mods is magnificent. I have downloaded loads of your work. Your best work is winter mods. If it wasn't for you there would be huge gaps in winter mods.

  17. Can it be done so that extra building, faces and terrain Bmp files can be created by modders to add to the bmp already there. What I mean is that you can add winter mods at the moment into tha game by changing the bmp numbe. These bmp are then playable. So the same can be done with adding extra building, faces and terrain bmp created by modders by changing the bmp number. Room has to be made in the bmp numbers so that extra bmp's can be fit in. When the extra bmp are put in, they can then be activated by the game. What this could mean is that loads more different looking terrain, faces and buildings can be put in the game. It also means that the developers will not have to do the work themselves. At the moment its rather bland as you have only have very few types of building and terrain to choose from.

  20. I mentioned it, sort of. The third option is the best and it looks like most people are happy with it.
  21. CM has a numbering system that allows for winter bmps to automatically show up in the appropriate climate. Well I didn't know that, I never read in the manual that you could create winter mods seperatly in the game with different numbered bmps. By the way Wicky I like your Is-2 winter mod I have downloaded but there seems to a green edge on the side front, on the picture of the IS-2 of what it would look like, its white.
  22. Has anyone done a wav and mod for other nations like czech, slovak, yugoslav partizan and bulgarian? Where can a find a mod for buildings and terrain? They are both looking ancient graphically. Can anyone recammend another site apart from cmmod dealing with cm mods?
  23. Well i have downloaded the 1.03 patch, but there is a problem. I need to have the cmak disc in the disc drive now, to play the game. Before the disc didn't need to be in the disc drive. Have I down loaded wrongly or is there a way round this?
  24. Well if a eastern front game appears in cmx2,People who believe that soviet afv's are undermodelled and german afv's over modeled will have to speak out in the forum otherwise the same thing will happen in cmx2 as in cmx1.
