  1. Wow! someone who's happy about my posts.
  2. Have you decided on the height limit for the map and the size of the battle map?
  3. Can you give covering fire against an enemy without having los on it. Like you know were the enemy is,for example, you are hiding behind the wall and shoot in that direction without sticking your head up for los, to give supression fire.
  4. What's the map and building height limit. I remember BFC saying the building height limit will be 6 stories is this still tha case?. But I haven't read about what the map height limit will be.
  5. Is it harder to hit an afv that is moving rather than a stationary one in the game? I can't tell if it is or it isn't.
  6. Will troops in cmx2 stick to the terrain that offers lesser protection like walls, rocky, brush rather than trying to sneak to scaterred trees or woods, when under rifle fire. Sometimes this would mean they sneaked through open terrain thus having less cover. Will the troops have better terrain awarness, like deciding to stick in the terrain that offers lesser cover than near by terrain depending on the distance involved in moving rather than exposing themselves more by sneaking through open terrain to get to the better cover area. What about having orders the scenario designer can give to afv's for path finding. Like defensive orders to stick were they are. Advance with caution, so that the ai plots the best hull down postions while the afv's move forward. Attack with speed, options were the ai plots the fastes route to the flag. Or an order for the afv to ignore the flag and just hunt for the nearest enemy. The scenario designer could plot ares for the ai on the map for specifc units to get to. 7. Will the player be in control of grenades for Infantry and smoke discharges on afv's in cmX2. I dont trust the ai with the smoke discharger. For example one Sherman would launch its smoke in defence, blocking the sight of my other Shermans who were about to aim at the side of the Panther. There was also the funny habit of a tank trying to hide behind the smoke created by another tank thus exposing the side and rear of the tank.
  8. So can pillboxes be knocked out with artlllery fire in the game? I would like to know the opinions of others, rather than stating my opinion and getting on the nerves of others.
  9. Thanks a lot BigDork for the info, I will be trying out these movements
  10. So what happened in the Falise pocket? Did tanks get knocked out by aircraft or did they run out of fuel and abandend.
  11. Why are pillboxes so hard to knock out by Infantry with grenades. A few grenades through the slit would do the job. But I have had some Infantry take between 15 to 25 mins to knock out a pillbox.
  12. Most casulties in ww2 was caused by artillery, Iam I right? So are you sure that Artillery fire including guns and howitzers in cm are weaker than they should be? Or is it that the trenches are far more effective in stopping casulties and supression than they should be?
  13. Wicky What I failed to say was when your Infantry attack the enemy in the trenches while the enemy is being bombarded by mortars is that the enemy inflicted huge losses when being supoosidly suppressed. So in that case the results end up the same even though the enemy is being suppressed. so meaning the suppression has no effect. I exaggarated that the enemy is never supressed, but the effect of the suppression on the enemy in the trenches dosn't change their ability to fire back when a target presents itself in open terrain.
  14. Thanks for your info J Ruddy, hope you don't feel too dirty.
  15. It would just make it quicker than scrolling down the page, espically if the battle you want to play begins with z.
  16. Did you find it difficult to supress the machinegun? </font>
  17. It would be quiker to find the game you want to play with a slider. if you have created a lot of battles or have saved a lot of games, it can take an age to scroll down the page. Especially if the battle you want to play is at the bottom of the page.
  18. Did you find it difficult to supress the machinegun?
  19. Iam going to ask a dumb question here. What are advance and assault movement options for Infantry used for, as I never use them. The same goes for scoot an shoot and hunt options for afv's. Whats the difference between advance and move options for infantry and hunt and move options for afv's.
