30th of July 1942 Having Vishny Volochec secured, Army Group North is heading for Cherepovets. Army Group Center is has started an Attack in the West of Moscow. Mozhaisk and Kaluga are surrounded. The Battle of Vladimir still rages. Kovrov has been secured, and Kostroma will fall in a few days. Romanian, Bulgarian and Italian troops start to surround a major Russian force.

18th of July 1942 German and Finnish troops conquer Vishny Volochec, and the Industrial Center of Kalinin is close. Army Group Center is approaching the Gates of Moscow... coming from the Southeast, where fewer defenses are set up.

Not quite sure if I will be able to take Moscow.. My Problem: Tech Level 1 and Morale and Readiness very low.. my attack on Tula caused very high casualties..

6th of July 1942 Babajevo is under German control. Tula as well. The Romanians are heading for Stalingrad.

30th of June 1942 The Battle of Babayevo is soon to be decided. The Battle of Tula still rages.. the Russian face encirclement.

6th of June 1942 Tikhvin is taken after a long battle. Operation Manticore has started... an Assault on Moscow. Romanian troops are heading to the east.

17th of May 1942 German forces have taken Valdai and Demyansk... and are close to Tikhvin. Mtsensk and Tambov are conquered as well. The Red Army is searching shelter behind the Caucasus mountains. Wehrmacht forces have two options: Moscow or Stalingrad.

Any progress?

7th of April 1942 The Russian Winter Offensive has ended... the enemy is starting a drawback. No objectives have been reached, not a single German unit has been destroyed. Army Group South is close to conquer Kropotkin. This would leave the Russian forces at Maikop without supply. Apart from this: in Kerch, three Russian units are trapped.

24th of February 1942 St. Petersburg is now completely under Axis control. Army Group North is heading to the east. A German counteroffensive drives the Russian attackers back. The Winter Offensive does not have much effect. Army Group South launches a surprise attack after Recon flights found a couple of unoccupied Russian cities.

Were you able to take Orel? One more city that brings MPPs... What is your progress around Sewastopol? I was not able take it... bad dice three times..

7th of January 1942 Funny to see that this AAR is relatively similar to the other one... but just in the south Leningrad is now called St. Peterburg again. Heeresgruppe Mitte is awaiting the Russian Winter Offensive... defenses are set up, and the troops are in good shape. The Battle of Rostow has ended with high casualties on both sides, but the winner is Germany. Most of the remaining soviet units are badly damaged and barely avoided destruction. Red arrows mark units which escaped from the battefield with just a fraction of their original strength. Very similar as well!

I think those 4 Panzer Korps will be a burden..

I can confirm the Italian Bug... no operating out of Italy.

Really interesting... the aggressive approach of the Axis brings way more losses to both sides.. in my own AAR it is the 16th of November 1941, and the relation of lost units is 177:2 ... should I have played more aggressive?

I think the "Aircraft first" strategy is good. What do you think about upgrading the Romanian infantry? I did that in my current AAR, and it worked well.

Great Russian Comeback! I think the Invasion in Greece made the difference.. the Allies are going to win now.

I would go for Sofia and then move on towards Romania... the terrain there is way better. Yugoslavia is awful... all those hills...
