  1. very nice building! works well with the environment
  2. That's okay, Captain America has taken his super soldier serum and will shield us with his red, white and blue shield.
  3. Yes, I beleive I read somewhere a well trained Sturmtiger crew could fire off all the ammo in under 90 seconds. They would train for hours with Swiss Navy gunners. The Swiss SBB's (Schnell blitz boots) or fast attack boats carried a single 497mm mortar adapated from the ones used by Grant when laying siege to Atlanta during the American Civil War.
  4. Unit will unhide to fire, unless it can't see target. Which he thinks it should've been able to. An out of command low experience gunner (green or Conscript) sometimes will just wait along time. Also, had your gunner moved recently? he may have been still setting up, perhaps?
  5. Looks like the kind of drawings I used to do in 8th grade. Once I drew a guy standing on the hood of a speeding car. And he was shooting at this other dude on a motorcycle. and then the motorcycle blew up.
  6. Aside from the aforementioned tips, sometimes I miss it when the gunner has a jam. You can still designate a target the mg won't shoot though.
  7. How about some left over PZIV's from one of those Arab Isralis wars?
  8. Under Roosevelt I don't think the labor unions would be very happy about POWS making munitions. And with Patton & MacArthur busy with the war there was nobody left to shoot strikers anymore even if strikes were illegal.
  9. The lighter blue seems to work pretty well. I've had the op to view it on 2 different PC's. I had a chance to see the origional scheme and your mod works pretty well. But thats just my opinion I'd like to hear what some of the others think. I don't think its a winter scheme.
  10. Cabe, The pattern looks great. If you're leaning toward aesthetics over accuracy I think the toned down version looks better, even if the colors aren't as accurate. Have you tried a lighter tone for the grey splotches and adding a touch more blue to make them pop? Because from a distance they look a little too dark even if they really aren't.
  11. Again, appears to be a T54/55, but this one is completely stripped. Could be stripped for parts, or could have been stripped of any metal objects that could be removed just for scrap. </font>
  12. CivDiv, tanks for the pics which help illustrate my question. (get it..tanks..) anyway, you see how the hull is very boxy with an inverted slope on the rear of the T-54/55? That is a departure from the steep slope of the rear hull on the t-34 and IS-2 ans IS-3. My question is: does anyone know (or care for that matter..) If this was influenced by German designs. It looks like some guy at a body shop took a Panther body, stripped off all the parts and put bondo over all the features then stuck T-34 running gear on and a IS-3 turret with a smaller gun. As I ask the question I realize that probably isn't too far from the truth.
  13. Sergei, You're right about the wheels. When I was looking at the T-54/55 pics I noted the overall shape of the hull and was wondering if it was a evolution from the T-34 or if it borrowed some features from German tanks. I probably should have looked at more Russian tanks before posting
  14. I second Capt. Toleran's request. The sounds from the troops in CM help bring life to the game. Their comments also make me "lookit that!" sometimes too.
  15. One thing I noticed studying the pics of the T54/55. The hull design looks like it was influenced by the german Panther and then a classic Soviet style turret stuck on. Note the lack of return rollers and the invereted slope of the rear armor. Of course these similarities may be superficial and coincidental, maybe? After all, all tanks have alot in common: Armored box with tracks and a turret and go boom.
  16. Sixxkiller you stole my thunder! T-55, here's my source: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/sys/land/row/t54tank.htm
  17. The extra detail on the A is more pleasing visually. ...As long as there arent any floating pixels or other whoopsies.
  18. Very nice Cabe. Weathered and substantial looking.
  19. Thanks again, My cup overfloweth.
  20. I guess my real question is actually creating the mods. I'm used to rendering by hand, not digitally. I've been puzzling out the format of existing mods. But the id numbers and the like is puzzling me.
  21. Sorry, I can't open your link. http://www.tspindler.de/cmn_mod/
