  1. Target area fire pound it till it falls apart.
  2. I've found this. Might be looking into Check out this hotfix for XP sp2 KB896256 It's to do with dual core issues in windows.
  3. Its possible then you don't have it. If you did I would see probably on a performance section of your BIOS. Form what I get on the net that P4 D 2.8 is a Hyper threader I've never had one of the older dual cores but you can see the logical cores through task manager > performance. I'm not sure but if you have dual cores with Hyperthreading you may see 4.
  4. did you snap down to the view of the unit. Does the target drop below the crest of the hill in front of you. Is it the angle of your hetzer. Can it drop its barrel enough. Other then that I see no reason why.
  5. It should yes. If the LOS is just translucent (Which I think that means a near-by unit can see it but you can't I would check on that) the tank should move to engage. Once you select attack in this fashion I believe it disregards the HOld ground order.
  6. there is always the option to select a target area rather then the gun itself.
  7. You must disable hyper-threading (if you have it) in the system BIOS.
  8. ah P4 D 2.8 = Dual core with Hyper-threading capability. May want to disable the hyper-threading. I think there is a thread on that.
  9. 2 GIGs here, no issues. Are you sure you have dual core or just hyper-threading ??
  10. well If you select to target an enemy that is not in your immediate LOS (Opaque Icon) then your infantry will attempt to move until it is in its line of site. Thats my guess as to whats happening
  11. What if they gave you an on-screen count down on when reinforcements are arriving. Just so you can prepare. I know sometime I miss the announcement that they have arrived.
  12. Have we got confirmation that there are no on screen mortars yet?
  13. Yes, cover is key. Find a nice hill to stick your AT guns. Trees and bushes if hills are unavailable. Also I've found that if the gun is crewed then it has a better chance of being spotted. Disembark the crew and hold them near by until you think you have a good chance of hitting the enemy.
  14. Ah yes the internal armor flaking, Seems a bit more leathal in this game then CMBB. I sure like those detailed armor hits.
  15. I know i'm forced to use Hold ground alot just to get them to stay where they are supposed to
  16. what was the distance between AT gun and infantry? Was any of the AT gun crew injured?
  17. I wasn't playing an internet game. I was just testing to see if they could coexist. I might try processor affinity and see if that works
  18. It's not the "known" problems that are ever the issue. It's the unknown ones that inevitably crop up.
  19. What I've found to protect AT guns is disembark the crew and lay them prone. For some reason the tanks leave the guns alone then. However, since all soldiers consistantly seem to insist on switching from prone to crouch on their own. this will only protect them until enemiesget within 75 meters or so. Sometimes they get shot sooner during one of their switches from prone to crouch.
  20. What we always used in CMBB was skype. It worked perfectly to talk over long distance when playing a game, However, This doesn't seem to work with TOW. Slows the Frame rate down to an unplayable rate.. Anybody else try this?
  21. I wonder how this stuff got past beta testing. Some of the complaints seem like they would be basic game features.
  22. I agree game very nice so far. Can't wait to get another human to play. I had 1 lock-up as well, in one of the training scenario's but after a restart of the game I played the rest of the training sessions with no problems.
