I've used Zone Alarm for over 10 years. At one point I had it working with CMSF. Recently went to a multiple hard disk system, couldn't get CMSF to work, so I tried it Windows XP and MacAfee just by chance. But wanted it on my windows 7 64 bit system that was using Zone Alarm. I tried all the fixes with DEP UAC, etc., installed, uninstalled at least ten times trying various things. Finally as a last resort I unistalled Zone Alarm and put MacAfee on, bingo. If anyone out there knows the trick to getting it to work with Zone Alarm, it would be worth posting for others. Had just gotten back into CMSF after getting CMBN. No other games are even close to these. If there isn't a CMSF fix for Zone Alarm, I'd recommend Battlefront tell people up front it's a no go with Zone Alarm.

Copying the "msvcr71.dll" file to the windows directory worked for me. The mission editor now works. Thanks very much.

I agree this is an outstanding game. I find myself doing a lot of thinking about tactics, and being very careful with my soldiers and equipment, as it should be. I've only played the training sessions and two scenarios, but I keep going back to try new approaches. I read a post yesterday from someone playing the German campaign into Russia and how it had been easy until the T-34s showed up in one scenario. Now that's pretty close to real history.

Is it possible to give artillery and tank units on the field indirect fire orders, if there is another unit that can see the target. Or can I give artillery unit area fire orders into areas they can't see.

I'm missing something that must be simple. How do I use indirect area fire with my on screen artillery. There must be some simple piece of a command I'm missing. Thanks.

Everyone at Battlefront, I'm having the same mission editor problem and have tried all the fixes I've seen here, plus MadMatt's fix. But I want to say, your work on this and your responses are great, I think it's appreciated. We know it will get fixed. It is an outstanding game, I think a new landmark. I buy most war games that come out. I buy too many in fact, this is a truly great one.

For myself, I appreciate the effort, and the fact that Battlefront worked with 1C to complete what appears to be an outstanding piece of work. The long wait has been worth it. A few more hours is nothing.

It could mean tomorrow morning, since the code messages to the underground went out the night before the invasion.

Don't use those codes lightly. I forget what was the third line of the code.
