  1. Are there any Sites with World War 2 Tanks and their exact Armour Values? I just can find some Rough Values on the Internet that are very vague.
  2. Exactly that tactic worked out very well in CMx1 if i recall it right. Driving forward claiming good Positions for the Infantry first and own more Territory of the Map worked very well in Cmx1. Infantry was tough to took away from their Positions even with Mortarfire or Artillery Barrage. Even Tanks had a hard time breaking their Moral and make them leave their Positions. So for the Risk of Loosing one of the HTs, wich didnt go down on HMG Fire and wherent that easiely taken out or abandoned, it was a Suceeding tactic in Cmx1. After playing a few PBEM Game now its astonishing how many Players use exactly the same tactics (in Meeting Engagment, wich where the mostly fought in Cmx1) and race to the best Positions on the Map. Maybe we need another Approach on that because good Positions arent that much of worth anymore. Reason why to me is: 1. 1-2 Good placed Tankrounds even on Foxholes or Houses causes lots of Casualtys in 1-2 Rounds. Compared to Cmx1 where it took wqay more time to break some defenders inside a House, Foxhole or similar. 2. Deadly Mortars. They kill more Infantry with a well placed hit and are deadly to Infblobs wich stick together. 3. Overall Casualtiy Rate is higher when you got lots of Guns pointed at you. So where it was the Key in Cmx1 to take Houses, Foxholes and woods first to have a good Fighting Position and really slow down enemy Advances they are now two Faces of the Medal. The only thing that "feels" diffrent right now is the Bocage. In terms of Benefit for the Defender it feels more like Cmx1 if you didnt get flanked it soaks up alot of enemy Fire.
  3. Any acounts on how often Tanks where taken out with HMG Fire in Real Life in Normandy? Right now they are more effektive against Light Armoured Vehicles and even tanks like the PzIV because it was not that heavy armoured on Sides and Rear. Why use that slow ROF Bazookas and other AT Assets when you can Take out almost any AFV of the Germans with 0.50cal?
  4. How much of Penetration do these MG34, Broning 0.50cal and other Guns have? And how are the Shots calculated? Is every Bullet calculated like with the AP Shots of Tanks? Angle of the Armoured Plate etc? Overall the 2xMG Us Halftracks are very effective in Game terms. In PBEM File #2 you can see clearly how long it took (it never did) a German Halftrack to point its Front MG34 on that spotted Halftrack (Target Arc was setup clearly there). Its like Stugs again Shermans. :-) Right now it seems to me "More Guns" is better then "Better Guns". Like you see the 2cm KwK misses and the good ol Fifty hits right on the Spot and has higher overall ROF and more Guns pointed at the Target then this single 2cm KwK I quit that PBEM right now and wait for further Patches. As the Game is right now you cant secure some Area with your German Halftracks or PSWs wich was the Plan riding them on the Field near that Houses to cover the Approach of the German Infantry. They got peppered and sprayed by some Light Rifle, smg and 0.50cal Fire and panic right way doing really weird things. Was "Light" fire really that effective? If so i have to completly rethink of my Tactics. You cant use the German Halftracks then for Fast Firesupport for your Troops. They can transport your troops then but hav eto stay waaay back and help you as backup in Defense. In Cmx1 i could use the Halftracks to bring Troops in one Place let them hop of the Vehicle and the Vec. supports them with Machinegun Fire and supresses the enemy while the Infantry get in Place. What where the Reallife Tactics of those Mechanized Infantry units?

But in some aspects its screwed. It just dont feel right. Sometimes some real wired things happen. Like "How on Earth can 3 Halftracks pass and Hatch Opened SCOUTcar in 80m Distance INFRONT if him and kill it?" I know i know, its the Random and extraordinary Results that the New Engine Produces no more abstraction jadda jadda... but that was the thing i really likes in CMx1! The Random outcome. In Cmx2 i really hate it when it comes down to that apologys for satupid results the Gameengine Produces!
  6. This Game sucks so badly in some aspects. Like the Mech INf vs. Mech Inf S*** i played right now on PBEM. Im really disapointed right now. QB are no Fun anymore. Hope for some seroius Fixing and Patches. So long i put it back in the lower drawer.
  7. Just playing a PBEM with German Mech against US Forces. Performance German PSW and HAlftracks against US Halftracks looks totally off. Please do me a favor and Test it yourself. Im the Customer not the "Test" Rabbit. Im totally upset by it atm. Those German PSW coudln`t engage 2 Halftracks in Front of them Hatch up on 80m passing them from Left to the Right and got killed by their Second Gunner easily with 12mm API Ammo. You can have the Email to look at it. They got Second Gunner yes, but the Advantage they gain from that in CMBN is absolutly off the Board and dont match any Hitoric realitiy.
  8. So when does the Patch come out? ETA on Patch? what needs to be fixed? Couldnt find my old Threat. Think they deleted it with no comment at all!
  9. So we mentioned a lot of things to Tweak, Test and to Watch over by the Testers, the Community and BFC itself. My Question now is: 1. What Content will be worked on for the First Patch? What will be fixed, tweaked etc.? 2. Can i get a Roughly eta on the First Patch? Just now i got some Email PBEM Games going and want to know how long it takes for the next Patch. Actually with 1.0 i really dont want to start new PBEM Games atm because some things still needs some overlooking. Dont get me wrong, the Game is still good but those glitches here and there starts to get onto me a bit.

  11. They use Area Fire. If seen it alot. Great thing of the New Game! When they attack a unit and it drops down into cover they keep peppering the last known Position for effect! *thumb up* !
  12. So are you going to look into it? Is there a Chance that in further Patches this will be fixed? It feels just plain unrealistic and i dont just refer to Cmx1. The One thing i was so proud of the Game (and still are in many Cases) is that you have to use Real Life WW2 Tactics to make you Pixeltruppen sucseed. You face same desicions and Problems RL Commanders had. But something feels definatly wrong when Tanks behave like that. I dont mean the Accuracy on Spots but that instant Spotting and Reacting of Tanks on Infantry that is well hidden with Hatch closet. There where loads of ppl complaining about it. So i ask again how you see it: 1. Is there a Problem with Tanks Spotting Abilitys Hatch closed? 2. Same with the Accuracy on the Run? 3. And with the Reaction Time of Tanks? 4. Are you going to look at it at all or is "everything allright"? How are the chances that you change those flaws in the Future? I have to tell you that i dont want to be rude. The Game is the Best Tactical Wargame that came out for years. CMSF wasnt my Gamestyle to play but i nearly played over 200 Hours in Singleplayer and bought every Game with CM that you brought just to support you with my Bugs. Still with some Problems in it the Game is Great and Fun. Thx to all those Years of CMSF that built the Road to CMBN. But when you play Multiplayer and look into detail there are some things that need some overlook.
  13. Two things im getting more and more disturbed in playing the Bocage is the Situational Awarness of Tanks. I play bocage. Enemy got Rhinos. 40m Engagment Range for my 3 Infantrymen with clear Vis to target. They target the Tank wich has his Hatch closed and dont use the Panzerfaust30 but the Schiessbecher. It hits. Turret Penetration. The Tank dont care for Shocked or MOral Loss but continue to race straight thru my Lines and didnt pull back. After 15 Seconds he found the Exact Position of the 3 Infantrymen covered in Foxholes at the Tanks 9 o clock. The Team has never been spotted bevore because its deep into my Lines and they where hiding. After that Act of Superspotting (Hatch closed, Penetration on Turret where Commander is,9 O Clock not the Facing part of the Sherman and, at full speed) he races backward in my Line killing the 3 Men team at 80m and then Traverse his Turret on an MG Team Hiding behind Bocage at 150m! at full Speed and Hatch down and fires Superaccurate on the Run and killed the whole HMG Squad. Then he races with no Problem BACKWARDS trough a Mid-Bocage and Turn ends. Dont know what next turn happens but that are the things that feels totally unrealistic to me: 1. Situation Awareness of the Sherman witch Hatch closed and under lots of Enemy Fire and a Penetration with AT Assets in Turret. 2. Accuracy of the Sherman on the Run under the explained Circumstances 3. Reaction Time of the Tank in General 4. Cutting Bocage with the Rhinos Back BFC, Comments welcome. Hope you tweak that with further Patches. Tanks are the absolut killer so far driving trough enemy Lines and kill everything in Sight with Hatch down bevore the Inf can even use their AT Assets!
  14. Way to few Casualties and Supression witg HMG Fire. I played a QB against Us Forces running in the Open and they didnt go prone on 200m nor did they take any Casualties. Should be both higher. Will they Fix it? Dunno the US-HMGs and MMGs. Same Problem there?

  16. Problem is that they Fire INSIDE their ARc on Tanks that arent worth a target. Actually it goes like this: Well hidden HMG hides behind Bocage with Target Arc for Inf getting close. Then a Tank shows up and they Spray Rounds on him, no effect. Tanks see them, firing HE almost the whole Squad is lost. Even with Target Arc its a Problem imho.
  17. In PBEM Multiplayer playing Busting the Bocage. I have Problems, setting Target Arcs and Infantry is well too often shooting on Tanks with Small Arms giving away their Positions. Is this Bug or Feature?
  18. Hello. Anyone tested the Panzerfaust 30 and Explosive Charges on Tanks? How effective are they? Just played the Breaking Bocage and managed to bring a Turret Hit with Panzerfaust30 and it didnt knock out the Tank. How many Rounds you have to bring on Target of those to tank? Any reads on it from Real Life Soldiers from ww2? How are the Satchels Working? At wich range?
  19. I dont say you are wrong, or CMx2 is wrong or CMx1. I just see that its lots of different results to Cmx1 and thats what disturbing ppl about it. I dont have a Problem with Accuracy in Game. I trust you with it. When you say Tank xy or Gun xy has a 90% Hit Probabylity on First Shot at x Meters then be it! Dont need to mess with the Experts there. But what about the Reaction Times of Tanks? After a Commander Spots a Unit and transfer it to his crew. Is there any "C2" Infopassing from Commander to Gunner etc? Feels like the Tanks reacting instant after spotting?
  20. Then Cmx1 was wrong? I had way longer Reaction Times with similar Panther in Cmx1 and much lesser Accuracy on Moving Tagerts, Hull Down Targets and on 800m I dont want to be Rude or say that "You are wrong blah" but isnt it strange that People start playing the Demo and come here bevore they find that Threat here and see similar Results? I started my Threat about exactly the Same Topic 2 Days bevore i found that Threat here. The Outcome compared to Cmx1 is diffrent. Tanks are more effective in Tankcombat now. Not just the Panther. So Question again is:"Was cmx1 wrong?"
  21. I totally agree with you Joe. The Ultrafast Spotting and Targeting was one of the Points i didnt even liked in the CMSF Super Abrahms. Track&Engage was too fast even in an M1 CMSF. Hope they do something about the Times from Seeing a Target to Shooting it. I just seen the same Things in Game. io Played over 500Hours and more CMBB and Tanks wherent that fast in Spot&Fire&Kill like in Cmbb or CMBO. It feels more like CMSF
  22. One more Spot opened for PBEM. Right now i got a Demo Game Bocage going And a Nighttime Engagment with the US Boys. Can someone tell me where i can read in the Manual about Spotting at Nighttime? How is it handled in CMBN?

I like to play them "Blind" or we can even go for aQUick Battle! Game is actual downloading. I can do around 4-5 Turns per Day!
  24. I just played a few Times the "Closing the Pocket" Scenario as German Attacker. On ething i noticed was the very High Accurate Fire and First Hits with the Panther Tanks. On around 800m a Stationary Panther Hit 3 Shermans on First Shoot. No Laddershooting. Its Crew Experience was Experienced. Here the Exat Data: Range of Engament: 771m to 780m Enemy: 3 Shermans M4A3 75mm KwK own Unit: PantherVA (early) Zug HQ with Experienced Crew Panther was stationary, button up but got almost similar Shooting Results with Unbuttened. A i forgot, Sherman was fully visible, not hull down positions. But isnt that a tad to accurate? Same for the Shermans on that Marders?
