1. I'm reading all the tactics posts/articles I can find as fast as I can. And thanks Kingfish.
2. Hey Kingfish, my name isn't on the list and there is still room so can you please sign me up? Pretty please with HE on top? I got CMBB so I'm eligible to play. I also emailed you.
3. You'll take back these words in less than a week. You can't just get un-addicted from CM.
4. What's a cruiser tank? I know it has some of the properties of a light tank (****ty armor), but what makes it diffrent from a medium or light tank?
5. I'm not a grog but here's what I think. Let's say that a company is attacking a small hill and the HQ gets wiped out. What I think would happen is that the coy would carry out it's mission (taking the hill), and after that the battle is over. So in RL on the CM scale the loss of the HQ would have little impact because everything that the company was supposed to do during that battle it did. The problems I think start after the battle when the platoon HQs don't have anyone to tell them what to do with their troops. Again, I'm not an expert but I think that company/batallion commanders make the plans for a battle but don't give commands or participate much in the battle. My 2 cents.
6. Buy CMBB Koening you won't regret it. I bought, it's really fun and offers some cool stuff that CMAK doesn't offer like the human wave command . I think that's my favorite command lol.
7. I'm sick of all the driver issues and bug and all the other crap with Windows XP 64bit Edition Bete so I bought the normal Windows XP Home. There is just on problem, how do I uninstall my current OS?

9. I have a question, can you be disqualified for gaminess?
10. The Uboat and the Liberty ship. The Uboat came that close to starving out the Brits. The Liberty ship turned back the tide of defeat and deliverd food and weapons to the battlefield. The Liberty ships were manufactured in such great numbers that the Germans couldn't sink them fast enough.
11. Well, no. The boats currently present in CM are fine for moving troops over water when the enemy isn't looking, but if you attempt to do a beachhead assault in the view of the enemy you'll have a slaughter. The assault boats are pitifully slow, unarmed and unarmored. Basicaly like a truck only like 20 times slower and they can't transport anything bigger than a mortar. I like the idea of having more sophisticated boats in CMx2. I think it would be cool if there were PT boats, amphibious armor, motor boats and big landing craft capable of moving platoons of soldiers and tanks (yay vehicles transporting vehicles!). My 2 cents I can already imagine the detailed armor hit caption : " front 16in gun turret penetration, 15 casualites"! l l
12. I like maps that force players to get creative with their tactics.
13. I wasn't really pissed off . Just thought it was a good opportunity to post a funny picture. I think that a yak looks really funny so I'll post it again. That yak looks as strong as the fighter-bomber to me ! Again, no hard feelings. P.S. How did your battle go Blue Steak? Edit: Fixed link and added P.S.
14. If you know you're gonna loose and there isn't any time to move them off the map kill 'em all!
15. They're worth twice as much points as inflicted casualties so you don't want to lose them. Walk them of the map as soon as possible. That way they can't be rescued by their comrades. Make sure to walk them of the friendly edge of the map. If you walk them of the sides or the enemy side of the map you'll loose all the points.
16. I'm talking about quick battles. You can let the computer purchase units for you or do it yourself. You can't buy units in scenarios or operations. P.S. The proper way to abbreviate my screen name is "yac" not "yak". I don't like being called a fat, furry, cow like animal l l
17. Like MikeyD said use smoke to cover your approach. Do not shell the town with HE. Most of the enemy will be in buildings and unless you have something really big it won't knock down very many of them. Use smg squads or engineers or both. Better both. Smg squads have very high firepower ratings at short range and engineers have demo charges and flamethrowers. Both are very useful for street fighting. Demo charges knock down buildings with one or two shots. Flamethrowers instantly panick the enemy so that they can't shoot back . Buy light mortars ( like 50mm or 2in). They're great for killing guns and the like without exposing your own troops to enemy fire. And AT teams. You DO NOT want to be attacked by a vehicle and not be able to fight back. Buy at least one 'zook or 'shreck per platoon. Don't buy Tigers. They are too expensive and you don't need them for close range combat. Buy something cheaper, preferably flamethrower vehicles. Don't send a vehicle down the street without any infantry support, it's as good as KO'd. Instead, use infantry to attack through the town and keep your tanks behind. They'll eliminate any light resistance and AT guns and keep the enemy from charging your tanks. When they run into any heavy resistance move up your armor and blow them to hell. Wash, rinse and repeat as necessary. Hope this helps.
18. There is a tactic that takes the best from both spreading your troops out and concentrating them. Have one company probe the whole width of the map. The second company will attack the weakest point the first one finds. Works best with tanks because they can get to the weak point the fastest.
