I've always wondered why at least a portion of "abandoned" AFVs are not considered captured by the victor at game's end. That is, if the abandoned equipment is still on the right side of the MLR. I don't think you'd be able to use captured equipment, at least not immediately. Its point value would probably just be part of the final calculations after the battle.

I noticed this in the features section. Does this apply to human players? For example, if one human company commander's communication equipment(or methods, if no equipment is available) is less than efficient, will he receive a delay penalty if he tries to send a message to another human or AI player? Or does this just affect how long it will take Company A to, say, advance to the ridge that the battalion commander has designated on the game map? Ah, crap. I'm starting to confuse myself now.• The ability to send messages in between commanders, including the delay of those messages based on communication mechanisms used.[ October 14, 2005, 05:45 AM: Message edited by: Shmavis ]

Hmmm. Good question. I'd say they're resting, too.

So far, Moon has stated that a CMBB/CMC bundle is planned for release some time after CMC. I guess, if CMC was a spectacular success, they might consider those concerns.
-
Uh oh. It looks like we were a bit hasty! Still, I'll play the hell out of this CT before CMC arrives. Thanks for all your hardwork, 76mm! I'm wondering if you helped with CMC's development. If not, you should offer your assistance to BF and HT.

Having played some of the games from the "Total War" series, I can say that there is nothing worse than using auto-resolution, unless the odds are very greatly in your favor. Then again, I don't think those games were nearly as sophisticated.

As I'm sure I'll miss it later, I'd like to congratulate MD on hitting 20K. Call Guinness. Then, have one at the bar, or a Molson, I guess.

Edit: Nevermind. Already answered.

Great! Thanks again!

Okie-doke! Thanks much. By the way, $35 is the estimated price? Man, we're so many shades of spoiled here.

Okay. Just to clarify, if a leader is considered "despicable", his troops will have low morale and be ill-prepared? I can think of a few division commanders who might be considered "despicable", but whose troops had high morale. Or does the rating simply indicate that the commander is despised by his troops, thereby adversely affecting performance?

Woohoo! An interface! Yay! Au revoir, manual entry of data!
I have one question, though: Does traffic affect the terrain? For example, if you have an armored company pass through a damp or wet terrain tile, will the terrain become muddy?
-
Ah, here's the sticky. Yay!
-
Yeah. Kudos, BFC. Uh, were there stickies here and I just missed them?

The problem with that is that to say 'greatest God' implies that there is another god or gods besides Allah (swt) which is a big no-no to Muslims. Which I am sure you know, but I'm just trying to justify uping my post count.Originally posted by V:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Shmavis:

Technically, I believe, it means "greatest God", but is often translated idiomatically as "God is great".

Deep breaths, man. Everything's going to be juuuuuust fine.

Yep. A looooot of soldiers aren't happy about having to buy it instead of it being issued.Originally posted by aka_tom_w:"I'm pretty sure the cost of armoring a US Soldier is close to $1000. "
By that you mean body armour alone not counting the cost of any other equipement?

It surely was. Thanks!

Hey, 76mm, I have a quick question about the log date: As you stated in the manual that once you have set the log date, it cannot be changed, does that mean I will have to uninstall and reinstall the CT if I want to change the log date after playing for a while?

I've already made my parmesan offering at my FSM altar, that he may wave his noodly appendage in my general direction, as I am not worthy of his touch.Originally posted by Seanachai:Okay, I swear I will never get that drunk again...
Where's the goddamn Peng Challenge Thread?
Who are these people? Why are people whinging?
What the hell is Combat Mission: Shock Force?!
Ah. It's some sort of new 'Game Announcement' contretemps.
Hmmm...there seem to be people who aren't happy.
What can I say? BFC, remember: Those who don't learn that there is 'History' are forced to explain 'Intelligent Design' to cheering packs of demons in the nethermost regions of Hell for Eternity (or until 'Intelligent Design' makes any kind of sense, so, if you have a choice, go with 'Eternity').
I'm pretty sure that 'History' extends beyond a ten year period in the mid-1900s.
Now, I've been dead-drunk for several weeks. Can someone tell me what the new game is all about?

How about the song that Armed Forces Radio deemed appropriate at the launch of Desert Storm: "Rock the Casbah"?

You remind of the babe.
- What babe?
- The babe with the power.
- What power?
- The power of voodoo.
- Who doo?
- You do.
- Do what?
- Remind me of the babe.
Dance, magic, dance...

Hey, remember the State Farm jingle? All together now! "Like a good neighbor, George Bush is there!"

Hey, this looks great! Thanks for your hard work.
