  1. Suddenly, my life became even more complicated... No, that was a joke. My girlfried is my wife. Or the other way around. It´s not that big a difference. The only real problem actually, is that she´s not at all into Combat Mission.
  2. Unfortunately I´m not able to upload any preview picture here, but it´s available at CMMODS. Fall grain will follow within a couple of days. It´s hi-res, but I don´t think it will be too demanding. I´ve used the default doodads. It´s not a "flash bang" mod in any ways, more of a subtle, kind of relistic looking one, IMHO. Try it and see what you think. [ April 24, 2004, 07:59 AM: Message edited by: Gurra ]
  3. GENERAL WARNING: wife´s been here and read your posts. Regards Gurra
  4. ...but she´s a split personality, so...
  5. ...Battlefront releases the patch that solves the time issue? My girlfriend is a bit disatisfied, my kids need to be brought up, the little garden behind the house must also be taken care of, and then I have to go to work 4 days out of five.
  6. Okay, that pretty much settles it. I won´t splurge out. Thanks!
  7. Hi, I own a quite powerful graphics card at the moment, a MSI FX5900 128 MB. But the question is, would an upgrade to FX 5900 256 MB be worth the money? I´d myself would generally say no on this one, but then again, I thought that maybe it would make a difference when using all these HI-RES MODS. Because the size of textures, at least theoratically, affects the graphics card if it has insufficient texture memory, right? So, the question repeated then: would I perhaps benefit from a card with a larger amount of memory? Gurra
  8. Now you keep up the good work! Get Paint Shop or Photoshop and experiment, experiment, experiment,experiment... I have started to try and learn how to mod vehicles. And I tell you, it´s a pain in the... Gurra
  9. Wait and see, I will slowly turn this game into a Britney spears' dance game And about the size and resolution. Yes, I know. I will see what I can do about it. Just don´t have the time right now. I´m involved in a lot of CMMOS modding too. And I can´t let MikeT down, you know. And to really tell you the truth, I´m not sure either on how to successfully convert it to lo-res. You see, I just play around without full knowledge on how graphics truly works. It´s a miracle everytime I succeed in doing anything at all. ANYONE who knows what he or she is doing have my full permission to alter my mod so it goes better with not so powerful videocards. 10. Well, I haven´t checked with CMBB, but I´m one hundred percent sure there shouldn´t be any problems at all. Just check the bmp numbers so that they are correct.
  11. Sorry for pestering you with mods, but I have a new one up... Watery soft ground. Try it and see what you think. Gurra. Sorry for pestering you with mods, but I have a new one up... Rough. Try it and see what you think. (it´s hi-res) Gurra. [ April 21, 2004, 03:11 AM: Message edited by: Gurra ]
  12. You were only slightly ahead of me. I was going to post a similar mod today. Also tired of looking at the "boot# in Normandy. Regards Gurra
  13. Well, three new mods posted at cmmods. -Autumn fields -(dark) Water -"Cattle enclosure fence" Now I have to polish my treebases. And now they´re posted too... [ April 17, 2004, 10:56 AM: Message edited by: Gurra ]
  14. Thanks for the input and sorting things out. I´m slowly trying to get grips with the buisiness, and it´s not easy. But I wasn´t thinking I would succeed in a week or two either. Your "templates" helps me a lot. I start with them and see where they take me. To play or not to play(to mod), is the question. Gurra.
  15. Nothing beats being the first Thanks! [ April 13, 2004, 06:22 AM: Message edited by: Gurra ]
  16. I was just wondering if there is any chance that you could release a more subdued/darker versíon of your excellent woods bases mod? That would have to mean the actual leaves in it.
  17. Earthy open ground posted at CMMODS. I have been so bold so as to modify and post StrontiumDog's CMBO grass mod. I do not know if StrontiumDog is still active at the forum and with the game, but anyway, SHOULD YOU DISLIKE MY ALTERATION AND THE INITIATIVE TO ALTER IT, I WILL REMOVE IT FROM CMMODS IMMEDIATELY. With that said, if anyone here should be interested in trying out the mod, please give some feedback here. Sometimes it´s hard to see the truth when you´re in the middle of it. But do mind that it affects gameplay on large maps. It shouldn´t be any problem on small and medium ones. Regards Gurra
  18. Arrgh! God dam, I can´t believe how hard it is to convert to new software! Was trying out PSP and felt like a chimp struggling with confusing puzzles...so I converted Zimerodok's modder's series files instead. AND THE QUESTION IS: are these FULLY compatible with CMAK? Will I get a good result, if I succeed at all at modding something?
  19. Hmm. At first I was a bit afraid that I wouldn´t get any real support on this issue, because I thought that those that has the know how would be too occupied with their own work to really care about a someone that hasn´t yet come up with anything and moreover hasn´t yet got a good clue to be able to. BUT-I apologize. Thank you for your supportive answers. As soon as I have the time I will investigate the proposed options Gurra
  20. Thanks for your input! Yes, Zimerodok did that, but I think they´re Paintshop Pro. I will have to get that program first and learn it. What I really wanted to do, because I figured it would be reachable, was to do a nice series of whitewashed/wintercamo Sdkfz 250/251. I have been on this for a while, testing various ways to achieve this. I have a fair perception of how to add weathering and scratches and so, but on the other hand, there´s a lack of "punch" in the finish, probably because I´m not aware of techniques I should be aware of. I guess I have to waste a little more time of my life, doing the trial and error.
  21. Greetings, I think I´ve been on this before, asking for some advice on modding. Now, this concerns vehicle modding, and the problem is: All I want to do, is producing nice vehicles. If only I could now come past the first obstacles, which now seems to be a good and methodical way to create templates to work from. I used to do some skinning in IL2 Sturmovik, and in creating templates and skins there, I used a plug-in called Mac´s remove white. That one, if remembered correctly, did just that, and left me with only the outlining under which I could then roam freely with the brush. Problem in CM is that there is a lot of colour, not only white, so it doesn´t work. (would need a remove colour ) To shorten this a little-could any of you give me some hints or recommend any available plug-ins that would help me get going? I don´t ask you to reveal your secrets... Or alternative, is there a way to convert PSP templates to Photoshop ones? I hope this doesn´t sound stupid or naiv. Regards Gurra
  22. Yep, you´re right. When I was doing the terrain filelists for CMMOS, I noticed it too.
  23. Have you ever been laying sleepless at night, moaning over the fact that there ain´t no gravel yards between the houses in CM? Well, that´s all over now. Check it out at cmmods.com. The name of the mod? Gravel yards and paths. Regards Gurra
  24. Mmmmwhhauuuaaamphhaamaaauiiiiyeesssss! (sounds of happiness) Thank you so much.
  25. Okey. Well, I guess I take the chance of uploading my little mod. It will be explained that the original work wasn´t my effort. So if it was Pud-hope you don´t mind that I have fiddled with your work.
