  1. Your "hunting" teams need a covered arc to define the area in which firing will cause them to stop. GaJ
  2. When you plot a waypoint, then check the LOS from the waypoint, I don't believe it is being checked from the vantage point of the selected unit. It is being checked from the ground at the waypoint... right? (I informally tested this out a while back, that's the conclusion I came to). GaJ
  3. (The crunching was only imagined, as the truck lurches at the start of the clip, as if the driver can't get it in gear. A gear crunch sound mod: another nice idead )
  4. I think the simulation of crunching the gears was great though eh? And also I was impressed with the representation of the truck tyres turning! GaJ
  5. I guess he means that he clicked on the "Adjust Mission" option, and changed the target for the mission? GaJ
  6. Move To Contact was good for getting from one place to another where there was a small but definite possibility of coming under fire, and you would want them to stop. Hunt is no good for this - it's only use is if you know someone is just nearby and you are trying to find them without stumbling on them and getting shot. I read something somewhere recently where someone said "Quick is your friend". I have found this to be true.... GaJ
  7. Just popping in to say what a top H2H scenario this is. I never thought I'd enjoy a 2 hour battle, but this is an absolute cracker, with a bit of everything the whole way. Recon: vital. Supply: vital. Game plan (multiple widespread VLs): vital. Armour battles: check. Infantry battles: check. About the only thing I'd say to the designer, if they are out there, other than "Great Job", is "it could be about 15 minutes less". A small thing. We ceasefired at 1:50, when we both thought that we had done what we could (interestingly, both of us were bluffing, it was revealed!) GaJ
  8. (for everyone else: send me your email, then I can add you to the access list)
  9. Hmm - looks like I'll need to put in a bit more logging around tidying up...
  10. Generally I have been uploading stable versions to CMMODS, though I actually prefer the Dropbox system because it's easier at my end for something that changes fairly often (CMMODS is more for "static" things) and the Dropbox gives me just that small piece of contact with the users that I don't otherwise get... GaJ
  11. The oppo does not have to have a gmail address - H2HH looks in _your_ gmail account for messages from your oppo. So it needs to know your gmail account and your oppo's email address. In "Application Name", you point it to the CMBN .exe (PC) or .app (Mac). That's so when you right-click, it can start the game for you. If you installed in the "default" place, this should already be set correctly. GaJ
  12. Dang. It works for me. I don't usually have that turned on, but when I turned it on and hit "refresh" all my dropboxes (CMBN and CMFI) were tidied up. Are you _sure_ it's turned on? Just asking Can someone with this problem do: 1) Exit H2HH 2) Start H2HH (resets the log) 3) Check the option is ticked 4) Press refresh 5) Send me the log. Thanks! GaJ
  13. Yep: http://www.battlefront.com/community/showthread.php?t=106177 I still have some new translations (received more than a month ago from the translators) to add in! GaJ
  14. I'll take a look at that Tidy thing. You're definitely talking about the dropbox, not the incoming/outgoing tidying? GaJ
  15. Can you send me the H2HH log from after this happens. Ta! GaJ
  16. Woo hoo - effort not to waste. Fingers crossed it works OK ... let us know how you go...
  17. Does anyone still use email to play PBEM? Do you happen to use gmail? If you do, then H2HH 2.1.1 Alpha is for you to try: it adds gmail support. You have to turn this on explicitly in the Options menu. Once you do that, you need to do Install->Edit and tell it your gmail address. And, for each game where your oppo sends you turns by email, to your gmail account, you need to do Game->Edit and tell it your oppo's email address (IE the address that the turns are coming from). It will do the rest: it will look up your gmail account for turns that your oppo sent, and pull them down into your Incoming, and it will help you compose outgoing emails to your oppo, and send them. This is all thanks to Charles-Texas-Toast-Mac-Reese. He coded this maybe a year ago, it's taken this long to get it "deployed". I hope someone is still using email for H2H games, and can benefit from this GaJ

  19. For me the biggest mod was the combination of CMx2 (BN/FI) plus a modern machine to run it on. Other than a grid and translucent trees, I don't see any need for mods (admittedly I haven't had a Tiger, I heard that might need them). I'm still in the happy-shock stage of every time I open the game I'm struck by how much better it looks GaJ
  20. Also... the title says 4m gridded, but the text (above) says 2m. I'm looking for a not-desaturated 4m grid
  21. When I click on the link, I get: "Fatal error - attempt to access unpublished file by non-admin user" GaJ
  22. Dang, I do love a brass band. Ah well, another time...
