  1. Quick answers:

    1. CMBN's timeframe extends to the end of September. Bulge will start in October and go through to the end of the war. Therefore all questions about winter stuff, vehicles introduced in October, etc. are easily answered now :D

    2. Yup, Jumbos were used in theater. Just very, very small numbers. Similar with the Pershing. I even have a book by a gunner who crewed a Pershing in the final weeks of the war. He's the guy, unknown to him at the time, that knocked out a King Tiger.

    3. Some of you have expressed surprise that we thought of canceling Market Garden. The only reason why was I was initially unsure how to put enough content into Market Garden to justify the $35 pricetag and not, at the same time, making Commonwealth a redundant product. Fortunately, I was able to work around the inherent conflicts (see original post) and put together more than enough content for it to be Module.

    4. Togi has a history of wildly undervaluing the costs of what we do. So it is not surprising, yet again, to see him wanting something for nothing. Consistency is some people's strong point :D See above point and reread my initial post. If we did not have enough content to justifiably call this a Module we'd chop a ton of stuff out of it and release the greatly reduced content as a Pack. But of course Togi would then want us to price the Pack at $2 because we "removed" stuff from it. We know we can't win with some people and that's fine. He can still buy or not buy based on his concept of value and not have it affect the rest of us.

Our job as developers is to make products for customers that they want at a price they feel is fair. We've done a very good job with that so far, and in fact I think many of our customers would say we've over delivered for the prices we charge. We've also gone out of our way to not trick or require people to purchase things they don't want. I'm sure we're not going to let you down with Market Garden.

    yes steve

you remember me, if you compare GL module and this module, you will see the difference.

content is not equal with GL , even CW module. So how is a module?

when we will see the packs?

    Regards

  2. Okay if you are going to insist on suggesting the content to something that isn't even fully fleshed out is insufficient, then perhaps we should review what we got from the ... err... umm... .. Steve's mouth. My highlights added.

yes if we examine only heer marines, wind mills and great bridges , some rare vehicle units will be added.

other units are coming from bn or cw as I understand except fallschirmajagers

  3. Based on? None of us know the full content yet. So far BF's issues have usually been trying to figure out the cutoff point because there is simply too much material. I would not be at all surprised to see that be the case here as well. If they do find it is a bit short maybe we can convince them to add material to do 1940 scenarios in Holland... :D Yeah I know, dream on...

I can predict from Steve's comments

some soldier models from Bn and Cw

I have these games already and paid 90 usd in total

so this should be a pack and priced a pack for bn+cw owners.

also may be a bundle with cw + bn as a pack for non owner of first two module

    regards

  4. It's close, but we still can't say when exactly it will be ready. As I said in my previous post, any significant issue that causes us to have to rebuild the installer means 2 days added to the schedule minimum. Having Microsoft Windows decided to do an update and reboot itself in the middle of a 5 hours into an upload doesn't help us out any either.

For sure we're going to release Gustav Line as a Module only to start out with. We haven't even started on that and it's twice the size as Gustav on its own. Which means about a day just to upload the beast for testing, not to mention anything else! No sense making everybody wait for that process to be completed.

I have to say this is the ONE drawback of having a "distributed workplace" (i.e. we're not all in one office building). As the old saying goes, what goes up must come down. So if it takes 6 hours to upload something it also takes 6 hours to download it. Now, if we were in one office it would be available for testing or working on within minutes. Thankfully this only is an issue a few times a year, because it really does suck :(

    Hello Steve,

I have already paid 12 usd this evening - Red Orchestra Rising Storm Beta from steam

    And countdown countinuing for GL.

It seems we will be waiting to publish at next week with this pace :-)

  5. "If you would like to order just the download, please wait until the game is released (in approx. 4-6 weeks). All games ship from our main location in the US, import VAT and other import fees may apply for international customers in addition to the Shipping & Handling charge. When you preorder, your credit card or Paypal account is charged immediately, and not when the item ships. The special $10 discount for preorders means that instead of paying $45 plus S&H for the download & mail delivery after release, you only pay $35 plus S&H. The discount expires after the game is released."

Above there is abstraction from moon post.

the post was published at mid of march - beginning of april

so release time will be within this week that I think , lately next week

  6. There is no need to give a desktop computer over 1000 usd nowadays.

beucause techonology is very fast and to try to catch with high end systems are very hard. the best tech computer could be old within two years. Instead of that, to reserve the money over 1000 usd for lenghthening of lifetime the old computer. (plus 2 or 3 year).

    because of that ;

    My system preference will be like that;

AMD motherboard available for SLI and overclock tech (2100 mhz oc availability)

FX 8350 processor (for 8 core)

    HD 7870 or 7950 video card (2gb ram + 256 bit)

2 x 4 gb rams with 2100 mhz oc ability (CL 11 class preferable)

    Case with 750W psu

    256 gb SSD + 1 tb HD

This system could be upgraded by adding second HD7870 or 7950 to catch the 5 year period at next years.
