  1. Looking good HR.... Terif, 9 minimum attacks? that must be a new record if that is true. that 1 over 3 (1/3) to the power of 9 equals 1 over 19863. incredible.
  2. I'm getting bored too of SC. The only one I ever play is Zapp, and I haven't lost in a bit either. The only one who I really want to play is Terif, and I'm lucky if I get a game against him once a month. Just no challenges anymore....
  3. Guys, I'm in for the 2v2, sounds great. We need a fourth. Any SC guy interested? BTW, whens ur holiday DH?
  4. Actually, I'd like to 'TCP/IP' it with you.... we stay in contact via ICQ, and try to finish at least 1 year game time in like 2-3 hours... it can be done. I'm interested a lot... never played against a human, but I'd like to think of myself as pretty ok. Lemme know.

  6. Hehe... did a reverse on the bidding. Zapp took the Allies, giving me 235 for the Axis. And yeah, i'm joking about ZCC banned, it's still pretty fun to play (and play against). Very different games than what I'm used too. Good news fellas: G/F is GONE GONE GONE for 3 WEEKS!! THREE F****G WEEKS!!!
  7. I love WaW too DH. I play it now at least 5 times a week. Just conquered Australia and New Zealand with Germany We should seriously have a game. AI is just not smart enough. Although on 'Impossible' level..... sick sick bonuses.
  8. Ok, this was a pretty normal game. Zapp did use ZAS, and although it was annoying, few troops were saved from france. I'm doing cookie cutter, and should get a medium to high strength attack on russia. Right now it's April-May 41, and Spain was just conquered, along with everythen else. Sweden is gonna be taken next turn. 8 AF's in service. Allies still hold Brest. I didn't have to use any axis stuff in med area, and still captured everything, except malta. Should i care about a lone malta with a fr af on it? I think i'll win, but you never know. No techs by either side discovered yet. We'll see what lady luck holds. Continuing tonight.
  9. So far only 1 cruiser sunk, but did some damage in retribution. Paris is 2 hexes away. RAF is pounding away. Can't afford Manstein.
  10. Turn 6-7 Ardennes taken, FBH taken, RAF is intercepting my AFs, better that way. Pol surrendered turn 5, but it won't matter too much. German cruiser slips through into antwerp and in a series of small battles, RN bleeds some, but i reinforced the cruiser from 2 str to 9.
  11. Turn 4 Poland fights on again. 1 str army units plus 2 corps left in pol. On the brighter side, destroyed fr army that wandered into a Rhine hex. Heavily damaged fr corp.
  12. Turn 3 Warsaw taken, but poland fights on. Rough day over here. Cut off fr unit in munich.
  13. Turn 2 Ironically, warsaw not taken , but invasion continues well and will be over next turn. Allies haven't done ZAS yet. Denmark probably taken next turn as well.
  14. Turn 1: Axis invaded poland from the north, take out northwest pol corp with help of 1 af. poland surrounded from 3 sides, warsaw for sure taken next turn. Move heavy units to LC border.
  15. Zapp takes Allies for 235. Let's see where this goes....

  17. best method against terif in this case was probably to build mostly corps in russia, and hold the heavier pieces for later. there's little benefit to attacking terif in russia as he'll kill x2 as many units as you do his. at least corps cost little.
  18. Gonna be uphill for you HR. Good job in france btw, but when Terif is left to cookie cutter, the game is usually lost. Mind you, Zapp did win a game... but luck could have been a factor there.
  19. Taking LC turn 3 as a 'turn-around' measure incase someone crosses isn't good. Allies can see Axis attack coming and attack LC themselves turn 2, IF they wish. Better not to attack it as it forces Axis to take all minors nations for Italy to join. In fact, since french had taken munich, the mountain passes were blocked, so benefit from italian troops in german. exciting games though.
  20. Zapp loses a 3rd game to me. He used 5 corps to guard the Rhine completely, as opposed to the other 2 games where only 3 corps where there, and I could gain a foothold across the river. In those 2 first games, I brought AF's to bear quite quickly, and managed to destroy corps occasionally. In the last game, I waited til turn 4 to attack LC, captured it, and forced zapp to guard every inch of the western front, or face breakthrough. Eventually, that happened, and 4 corps were lost in the last 2 turns around Munich. I actually had 2 attacks, one in the north, and one in the south. Eventually I put all weight on the south, destroyed 2 corps, and surrounded 2 others. Since Zapp had only 3 afs, my carriers got free target practice, and my af's were sometimes not intercepted. Axis needs 3 turns to take Rumania, and attacking whilst Axis is busy in the east will force him to buy units to form contiguous line in the west. really, its just a matter of math. still quite challenging though, i only read about it, haven't played against it til now.
