JasonC never says anything unless it's to answer a question that's interesting(to him) and complex.
I've told him several times that he should write a strategy guide and other semi-flattering things but he never shows up.
I think he's just beeing modest or something.

Finally some news !
Now we know that CM2 wont follow Duke Nukem Forever into the great vapour ware burial ground (I never doubted you BFC) .
!!!!!

Power ups.

Worst thing is that some of the guys on that forum even defend him because he's not a "fanboy". :mad:Originally posted by Axe2121:I guess I should have clarified. That guy is totally sarcastic about every update posted. He is so critical, it boggles the mind he even posts there.
Well, I never expected either the game or that forum to live up to the high standards that CM and this forum has.

Are you that guy Maus on the Wartime Command forums Axe .Originally posted by Axe2121:Groan. The latest "update" of Wartime Command shows -- wait for it -- a lone 25 pdr. opening up on a lone tank.
That was almost as good as the 57mm AT gun knocking the turret of a PzIV about 15 feet in the air.
Can you say 'stinker?'

He's cute in a Rancoresque type of way .
They always make them look good in these adoption pictures.
Is that a polo he's wearing ?

Hortlund once got stuck in one of these threads. My fellow swede couldn't get out for years .Originally posted by Wallybob:Braindead thread? I smack thee with a very large chunk of C-4, wrapped mightily in barbed wire. Then I shall command detonate it from a safe distance. Send me a setup, MAGGOT-Lips!
Perhaps when CMX2 arrives I'll throw you a pack of TNT or two but for now I will keep lurking in the background of this very special thread ...
At least this thread displays more fury then the penguin one .

To get back on Topic (sorry all hijackers).
No other company has the courage to jump on the CM band wagon.
As far as they know deep strategy is an RTS like Command and Conquer. Anything else will scare off all console/twitch-game people.
Until CM starts selling lots and lots of copies the mainstream companys will focus on the next dazzling episode of Command and Conquer.
That's the horrible truth .

Wont that impact replayability? </font>Originally posted by Breakthrough:</font><blockquote>quote:</font><hr />Originally posted by Michael Emrys:

First of all :
Hi mom !
And secondly:
I say keep it in WW2 .
I want to see some classic WW2 combat with a brand spankin' new engine .
And with a Campaign generator and multiplay .

Umm...what he said .Originally posted by CombinedArms:I would put it this way:
CMBO: revolutionary
CMBB: revolutionary
CMAK: evolutionary--but still the best game of the three
CMAK doesn't involve radical changes over CMBB, but it does incorporate a lot of subtle improvements. Moreover, it gives you more different kinds of terrain than any previous game--desert, Tunisian rocky hills, and Italian (read European). And it gives you the full kit (or almost) of all the the western nations. If you have any urge to play with the western forces again, that's enough reason to get CMAK.

What the ubergrog said .

I believe Sgt Kelly is on to something here.
A campaign layer would add alot of enjoyment to the singleplayer game IMHO.
Not only beating the AI but also having lots of troops left post battle (for following encounters) would maybe give you some sort of reward.
Just my 2 cents.
