  1. Thanks for the info Terif but i have one question though. In France I like to keep all the cities garrisoned with corps while I leave 3-4 armies and a panzer group in reserve. I also keep 3 fighter groups in the area in range of each other. When the allies invade I move in my reserves and destroy the enemy or at least contain them (hopefully). Do you think this is a effective defence or should I go with something else? Comrade Trapp

  3. May Terif burn in hell for his damn carrier tatics
  4. Count the loss...I never said no Italian Gambit. No hard feelings. I don't see how this is whining
  5. Comrade Trapp (Axis) concedes to Brad Tennant(Allies+100)
  6. I think that the best chance you have of destroying Britian's carriers is when they are helping with air superiorty over France. After the Fall of France most allied players keep their carriers with the rest of their fleet which is usally kept out of range of Axis aircraft. Other than France the only way you can destroy the carriers is if you score a lucky shot in the Med or if the allied player makes a really stupied move like moving thier ships past Denmark in Germany's backyard.
  7. Your major focus in tech should be Jet Aircraft in my opinion. This goes for both Allies and Axis alike, in this game controling the skys means alot. I recently played a game against waltero where he used the RAF with +1 Jet tech to destroy my entire amry, my untis were already weak from heavy fighting in France and then his airforce finsihes them off. If you have the avaible mpps you might want to research Indesturial Tech with Italy, this would turn them into a strong ally. I hope this helps.
  8. I don't have the save. If you don't have the save either I will concede the game out of fairness (your airforce butchered my entire army and I would have had a hard time rebuilding). Post here on weather or not you have the save. [ February 22, 2003, 07:53 PM: Message edited by: Comrade Trapp ]
  9. Wait a second there...I didn't quit any game, I got dissconected last night when my cable internet went down (I live up in PA where we are having all thoses snowstorms). I just got my internet back. Don't go around posting that when the disconnection was nothing I could prevent. I am more than willing to continue our auto-save just leave a post or email me.
  10. I think its realistic enough, if the Axis had Sealioned in 1940 and England surrndered, the war would have been pretty much over. [ February 19, 2003, 05:42 PM: Message edited by: Comrade Trapp ]
  11. I agree with Germany being able to choose weather or not there would be a Vichy France, but I think that if Germany does not create a Vichy France the French should carry on the war as the French (not as the Vichy French or as the Free French but as a united French). If the Germans had rejected the creation of Vichy France when Paris fell, they would also have been rejecting the armistce that dropped France from the war (Vichy France was a condition the French made at the armistce). If Germany does not agree to create a Vichy France, I think the French goverment should move to England and all French units should remain under French control. This would not only be realistic but would make some very interesting games.
  12. hmmm....I have a little problem....my high school doesn't have a mascot (my school has no school pride at all, the teachers do not believe in that kind of stuff )
  13. I think we should all stick to zappsweden's ladder considering he has done a pretty good job at keeping it organized. Besides, you ripped off his entire openining paragraph for your ladder.
  14. I got pretty lucky once when the entire French Navy turned "Free French" along with 2 armies and a HQ that I transported to England.
  15. Comrade Trapp (Axis) loses to Kuniworth (Allies+175). Germany fell mid 1941 after a failed invasion of France and Italy surrendered April 1942 after Rome fell. I wasn't prepared for the Dutch Gambit
  16. And again Comrade Trapp (Allies + 200) loses to Rambo (Axis). This time I fought to the death, Axis sealioned in August 1940 with both German and Italian troops. I did not have enough units to defend so I evacuated England and withdrew to Canada hoping to fight another day, but the US and Russia did not enter in time and the game ended.
  17. Comrade Trapp (Allies + 200) concedes to Rambo (Axis).
  18. Add me please, I am currently playing a ladder with Rambo (Axis) and he is kicking my ass all over the board. I'll post the final results.
  19. John, in the four months I have been playing SC, I have never seen any that. As for the units being able to strategicly withdraw when you have it surrounded by 4 sides, it may have happend because of a enemy HQ in the area (I am just guessing). Now if it strategicly withdraws when you have it completley surrounded, then that is something to worry about. Comrade Trapp
  20. There are a number of facrors that could have caused that. It could be your units experience or his, his entrenchment level, were you crossing a river when attacking, did you have an HQ around your units? I know...its a bitch when that happens.
