  1. Even though there was no reason to think it would, I got a hold of a copy of Panther today. I'm a PC user but I support Macs here it work so I thought I'd give it a shot for you Mac users. No Dice. Guess you'll have to wait for CM 2.
  2. CMBB is just a refined version of CMBO. Most people would rather play the west front, so that's the main drawback for most people. The extra commands - espeically cover arc, move to contact - make the game a lot better IMO. In CMAK it's likely that people can create west front scenarios due to similarity in some terrain. So in a way it'll be CMBO w/ all the refinements of the later games.
  3. This is probably due more to the fact that the M1 costs about double.
  4. Apparently they use Macs and are getting an OS X only machine.
  5. I head up the Mac dept. here at the publishing company I work for so I had to go through all of this last week. You can still buy some Macs from Apple that WILL boot from OS9, but Apple only makes higher end (dual 1.25 ghz and up) machines that are able to do it. If you can only afford their cheapest machine - single 1 Ghz G4, for $1500, it will ONLY boot OS X. It's pretty obvious they are milking the market for the people that still need OS 9 machines, by only offering OS 9 machines for $1000! more. And there is no reason why they are making OS X-only machines other than they are forcing people onto OS X - even if the software market hasn't fully adapted yet (i.e. Quark!) If you play a lot of games at home, do yourself a favor and get a PC. I realize that Apple has strong supporters ,mainly in the publishing/design community, but when you start getting outside that niche market the Macs start showing their weakness.
  6. I've had the opposite instances also. Whenever I play the Russian side, my tanks can't hit a thing - sometimes not hitting a target until their 5th or 6th shot (if they last that long). In my experience, the germans don't miss that much, unless it's long range and windy.
  7. Well according to the web link provided it looks like the Romanian Air Force was still in existance, w/ some units being disbanded, while others not. If Romanian ground forces fought on the allied side, I have no idea why they wouldn't use the air power. The only reason I can think of was they used German model aircraft and misidentification could've been a problem.
  8. I've noticed this too. It doesn't bother me all that much, but I'm sure there's a fix somewhere.
  9. All I can say is make that a rule when you start the game. Otherwise, you should expect to see a KV-1. Same thing w/ Axis in '43-'44 w/ expecting maybe a Tiger. Predetermined rules will avoid a bitchfest later on
