  1. From a business side, they redid their Windows sharing protocol. We were having some issues with that at the office and were anticipating coming out of the dark ages of NT-era mac/windows compatibility.
  2. Specs are not the problem. It's the DRM, which won't let the game run. I'm just surprised it was working for some, as I figured the DRM didn't work with Lion. I knew CM didn't work with Lion when I updated, but I wanted to update due to my job supporting macs at work. Since it's the only program I have that's been a problem in Lion, I'm fine with waiting for the fix. Hopefully, it's not too much longer!
  3. Yeah, I'm one of the ones that did 10.6 to 10.7 upgrade. I've been waiting patiently for a fix!
  4. And on OS v10.7, majormauser? I thought this was a Lion issue across the board. I'm just checking the site every day for a fix!
  5. I noticed this problem too. When playing the demo, I never used it as an OP. Instead I put my mortars in the field to the left of the manor and had HQ set in the middle of the hederow with great LOS. When I got the full game I tried to follow the manual's tutorial in case I missed something in my self-teaching (came directly from CMx1). The manual's suggestion of the manor as an OP at first sounded like a "why-didn't-I-think-of-that" moment but I got the same crappy LOS everyone else had and I quickly went back to my original observation setup.
  6. I didn't get a release e-mail either for the Mac version. Maybe we were left out......I have my original download e-mail though.
  7. YES - my preferred way of playing another human opponent.
  8. Wow, I got about half way through this thread (that's a heck of a lot of posts for a thread started 28 hours ago). I'll just say, being a a newbie to the CMx2 gameplay, that I didn't know there wasn't a WEGO TCP/IP feature anymore. I pretty much took it for granted that the game wouldn't LOSE a feature. Oh well. I'd like to see it in there for sure. After playing the demo I can tell you I probably won't be doing the RT. I like my good old WEGO. It's a real shame I can't play my mates using it without PBEM.
  9. Was wondering that too. Did a search and some URL trickery but no dice. Time to hit Boot Camp.
  10. Typo - Pg. 18, 2nd paragraph, 2nd sentence. Should read "The lower the skill level..."
  11. As someone who has a mac desktop and a Windows laptop, I understand wanting to be able to play it on both platforms, but it's plainly obvious you'd have to buy both versions to do this. As a network administrator (with Macs and PCs), I can tell you Microsoft Office and Adobe CS Suites require different licenses for each platform. That's the norm. If you have software that the publisher gave you license for both platforms, consider yourself lucky. You're essentially getting a BOGO free.
  12. I'm back after a long hiatus due to CM:BN. Especially now that it's on Mac, since that's my main platform now!
  13. Any ground engagements would happen after the battle for the skies is over. The Syrian Air Force would have zero chance.
  14. Or maybe some people could use the search function like a big boy instead of getting other people to do it for them. </font>
  15. Wow, that's fun. Good job! How much was the video sped up though? Those grenade bundles were flying really fast!
  16. The picture you took is obviously a modern picture. I believe the beach looked different in '44. The famous shingle that's talked about in the stories is not there anymore.
  17. I always use infantry mines in a defense. I place them in areas the attacker would use as cover in preparation for an attack. That way his troops can't assemble very orderly. So I block/impede the avenues of approach w/ cover with mines and the open areas I cover with HMGs. As far as daisy-chain mines, they just make enemy vehicles choose an open route that I have an ambush of AT assets waiting.

  19. Quick answer. Russia could produce way more tanks than the Germans. The T34 was easy to produce, German tanks were more complicated. I think that Russia produced something like 10 times more tanks than the Germans. So even though Russia lost alot more tanks, they always had more than the Germans. You don't even have to factor US armor (even though they produced more armor than Germany by themself.
  20. Even though there was no reason to think it would, I got a hold of a copy of Panther today. I'm a PC user but I support Macs here it work so I thought I'd give it a shot for you Mac users. No Dice. Guess you'll have to wait for CM 2.
