SeaWolf_48 I agree and stand behind you on what you have written, my father served in the 101st but in the 60's he had 2 tours in Nam and many medals and wounds to show for his fight for our country! I support and help run a group for the 82nd A/B Div that Honor Veterans 82nd A/B L.H.A. Sunday was our end of the Year Christmas dinner and we had 2 veterans there Bud Rice whom flew Troop transports and Jack Williams of whom was in the 325th GIR, your words hit home.... yes who is this guy Emil ???? So we have Partisans in Russia but, where are the Royalist Russian Cossacks, though they only operated in the North? they were loyal to the Germans, so how are they represented in the game or are they ???   7. Emil Seibold where are you from? How old are you, when did you serve? You would be at least 80+ years old if you were in WWII????
  8. My understanding that was only for Troop transportation not Naval ships! I to have stationed Naval ships there and nothing happens, after reading the rules on how to use the loop it mentions troops not naval units. Hope this helps? :confused:

  10. I like what you have done with it all except the Cities, they dont look of the era! Factories look better unless you can make towns that build up to a major city in the middle like they were. Dingy and old I believe would be the look! Who am I im no artist great job anyway, keep up the great work!!!! Longtom is correct about the water it should be darker to lighter water.....   11. I remember reading a little while ago someone had metioned a Head to Head competition baord or group. What happened, doesn't anybody want to set this up, I'm willing to help and get this setup if others want to join in and help???? We need the following I think: </font> Signup form and DB </font> Where to host </font> Ranking - Both Allied & Axis Ranking per person Maybe assign medals or something depending on there ranking </font> Head to Head rules </font> Moderator (decides whats a vaild competition or not) also this does not have to be just SC could include all Battlefront games!   12. Why not allow the controling major nation be allowed to create corps within that countries borders. As it is now Germany cannot build any units in Finland or Norway. Although they are allowed to build in cities where the city is a 5 or higher and only within that city hex, does this sound right? When units reorganize or muster there orders are to assemble at the assigned way point determined by the HQ! Since we are the HQ and make that decision what does it matter if we want all of our armies built in Norway or Iraq for that matter! There can always be a limit to how many and where were allowed. Anyone elses thoughts on this???

  14. From the SC Current v1.06 patch rules: Since you have to Garrison the border where can you build up your German troops along the Soviet border? How many and how many hexes away?? :eek: Does anybody know??? :confused: I can not find it anywhere in the new rules????

This only happens when the German player has been delayed by a year or more in France and then there trying to make up for lost time and MPP by attacking minors to gain the MPP loss to go fight the Russians that have now entered the war! Whehhh that was a lot to get out..... Here it is in a nut shell..... AXIS Strategyfor the Egypt/Iraq Region could be, attack the following Poland, Low Lands, France, Denmark in that order. Attack Yugo after they go Pro-Allied safer on the Russian Entry level just post some armies and 1 maybe 2 air with HQ to take it. Tech for Axis could be Ind, Tanks, Jets for both maybe subs for italians instead of Jets! Commit 4 to 5 Air fleets plus 3 Armies and 2 HQs(Level 6) to taking egypt for the Germans the Itlaians help with corps and add there navy to the fray!(Italy will most likely loose her navy but start thinking subs there cheaper and can avoid attacks better plus add Sub tech and you can have the MED!) By this time its mid '42 units are cheaper tech can be had easier because the allies are going in that direction and remember time is on your side here! You could have up to 10 maybe 12 Air fleets on the Russian front after the Region falls and you had no losses(Dont count on it, I had one time 5 Air units killed off!) 8-9 tanks with level 1 and 6-7 armies and some corp, when you go into russia start building armis and corps and settle on the fact what you have for an offense is it because if your up against a good russian player they will exact losses keeping you from making new offensive units!! Thats my take on the whole Egypt/Iraq scenario, does anyone else have another strategy or anything to add????
  16. I have played a quite few games now using the new patch v1.06 and with the addition of Africa to Egypt transfer it has changed the outcome for the allies more than once! As to holding off the Axis in taking the region, it is really up to the Axis if they want it or not. If there strategy is to stop the Iraq takeover or take it themselfs they can do it(keep in mind the goal would be to be very passive towards the Russians to keep the entry low to achieve this goal)! IMO taking Egypt/Iraq region will win or at least make the chance greater for the Axis to win but without it the balance of the game can change very easily!!!! IMO this new patch v1.06 solves a lot of the PRO-AXIS game play making it a more enjoyable game to play, playing either side!

Im just going to throw this out there, with version 1.06 released and now that you all have had sometime to kick this patch around a bit, it seems to me that the key to an allied victory lies in the control of Iraq!!!! And more so now with the addition of being able to round the cape of Africa to the Suez. Can anyone add there fresh opinion to this...... :confused:
  18. Has anyone thought of creating a signup program and rating system that could be intergrated into the Forum yet??? This would be great and could help with our new SC owners who are intrested in joining the Forum playing arena!
  19. Best to invest first into Industry Tech(units cost less making it easier to purchase high end units!), then depending on the side your playing and strategy your next invest should be in the direction best suited to your Goal! Hope this helps??
  20. Mulberries are a very good idea, they should be costly to have! Also why not allow transports to attack when invading?? Plus to counter that what should be included is the following empty hexes that have intresic defensies when attacked! This will cut back on units needed to defend the coast! just a thought.....???? :confused:

Never mind thats for soemone else...scratch that! :confused: Ok get 3 Air units the Italian fleet and 1 corp to invade with. Attack the port and reduce it to less than 4 and hit the unit until its gone, once that is done step on with your corp, but in my opinion its a waste of time doing this! The bigger boogie man is in the East :eek: , side shows are a waste of time!!!

  24. I believe the idea was to force the players to have expend MPP to support any campaign either side runs! For example you have 15 units attacking Russia you would need at least 3 HQ's if you wanted to keep them in supply and add bonuses when attacking or defending. Although I see your point, when many units are clustered it appears to me also that it may be a random selection to which units are supported and which units are not. But being able to decide goes back to purchasing the support to do so! Remember this games scale and what its expected to manage, to ask for it to manage units per HQ takes away from its size and its built in assuming logic per situation. I believe adding this does not fit in and would not add to game play. Just a note to Hubert: I enjoy this game and appreciate what Hubert accomplished with it and what he will accomplish in future games(more please), keep up the good work Hubert! I only ask one thing from Hubert, make a game stupid simple but with enough complexity to make it challenging and long lasting!! I believe you have done this with "SC" keep this in mind when creating your next, which im sure you will! Thanks again Hubert I'm now back into board gaming more than ever, and I can't believe its on the PC of all things!! No more little counters to pick after its all over ahhhhh!!!! P.S.- Future playtester available here!!!
