  1. Hi, Kitty , nice to see you again. ***** thank the stars I had my work boots on today.*****
  2. Sadly this is the lot of mankind, it seems. What could we accomplish as a race if it were not for the effort we waste in perfecting new ways to kill each other? However, isnt helping others a noble intent, and even if the methods are sometimes heavy handed and misguided, if one man feels as if he is doing something good, even in the midst of war, that can't be taken from him, no matter what your political or personal beliefs. I know that this premise can be taken to any extreme, but my gut feeling is that men should not be made to feel wasted...even in an unpopular endeavor. 3. Natalie Portman is such a tiny little thing. There is nothing to her, she looks like even less with no hair.
  4. That's either an old photo from the "Lawrence Welk Show", or a pic from the movie "Mars Attacks"
  5. Boo , I think what we are dealing with here is some sort of sexual reference to the word "root", perhaps they really mean "to rut", but you know that the Aussies are fixated on their danglies, so you never know what they are referring to. Usually its drinking, or sex, or footy, not always in that order.
  6. what does "barracking" mean? is it like "cheering" or "rooting" or "supporting" a team? Can't you guys speak English?
  7. The Crocodile Hunter is Dead. Long live the Croocodile Hunter. Killed by a creature of the sea. "Crikey mates" [ September 04, 2006, 09:42 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  8. Would a shanty town have a sommelier? Wouldn't the people in such a place be eating stuff like cat food, and drinking sterno strained through white bread?
  9. A great scene from that movie takes place when Jeff Bridges and Karen Allen are at a truck stop somewhere on the road, and the alien in Jeff Bridges' body eats a piece of apple pie. The look on his face was worth an academy award. Even superior aliens can learn a thing or three from us dopey humans [ August 31, 2006, 11:30 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  10. How are you on Canadians from the Pacific Northwest? Michael </font>
  11. You mean he doesn't irk you? My, you have odd tastes... You aren't Swedish by any chance, are you? Michael </font>
  12. Why do that?.....we can get more mileage out of the fact that he obviously irks you.
  13. Errr... makes little circles in the dust with foot, head down, hands thrust into pockets.... I think I may have deleted the folder. </font>
  14. You'll be singing a different tune when you see what's in store for you, laddie.

  16. Is popping smoke by tanks a common pratice on the modern battlefield for the purpose of fooling ATGMs? Did the Israelis use smoke to fool Hezbollah missle teams, or is that why they did most of their operations during darkness? Iraq was rumored to have AT-14s during the 2003 invasion, but I dont recall seeing or reading that American armor used a lot of smoke to screen their movements, basically because most of the combat was taking place a close range. 17. Hmm, remind me to write the commander of Fort McCoy and complain. </font>
  18. I also understand that Hugo Chavez from Venezuela recently placed an order for military gear from the Russians...to the equivalent tune of Three Billion US Dollars. Maybe some of that new gear is for him...I think he is afraid that Aruba may invade soon.
  19. Maybe the Russians are also thinking along the lines of lighter, easily deployable forces, for asymetrical warfare. Or perhaps they just don't have the rubles to spend on lavish military equipment. [ August 23, 2006, 11:39 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  20. The current version of the BMD is pretty modern. The 2S25 is brand new. The BTR-D is kind of like a mini M113, so it's not particularly modern. </font>
  21. I'm sorry, I assumed the term rag-head would insult all head gear wearing peoples, not just the ones you hate. (!) </font>
  22. You are the one making the generalizations, I never mentioned Sikhs, or any other group, you made the interpretation because that is what you wanted to think. I can hate if I want to, it is my right...so don't tell me who to be angry with...
