  1. Exactly!!!, and if I am not mistaken...most of the Goosegreen infantry assault action took place at night and without the lavish use of night vision equipment that you have today. Men were basically firing at muzzle flashes and sounds.
  2. Looking good Lars ....show me....sand the floor!!!...show me...paint the fence! big boards, right hand...small boards left hand, lock wrist...breathe in thru nose, out thru mouth. Always look eye!!!!!!
  3. POSSIBLE SPOILERS!!!!!!!! Had a ball with this one......I agree with your decision on the unarmed Hummers. When the ATGM opens up on the column, iof you dont get a catastophic kill you still have the extra crewmenm to dismount and return fire. The technical counter attack was cool and totally unexpected. Great work...keep it up!!!
  4. If we continue allowing others recognized not only do the terrorists win, but Joe Shaw will continue to bloviate on the subject. Now I ask you...which is worse?
  5. I agree, I would make the same observations based on my experiences playing the game so far.
  6. Jolly sing song lads!!!! These mist covered mountains Are a home now for me But my home is the lowlands And always will be Some day youll return to Your valleys and your farms And youll no longer burn To be brothers in arms Through these fields of destruction Baptisms of fire Ive watched all your suffering As the battles raged higher And though they did hurt me so bad In the fear and alarm You did not desert me My brothers in arms Theres so many different worlds So many differents suns And we have just one world But we live in different ones Now the suns gone to hell And the moons riding high Let me bid you farewell Every man has to die But its written in the starlight And every line on your palm Were fools to make war On our brothers in arms Dire Straits
  7. How old is that friggen picture??? Look at the price of gas to the right. Are these pics from your childhood gallery Emrys? ? [ September 10, 2007, 07:08 AM: Message edited by: Nidan1 ]
  8. One good thing about Alzheimer's is you get to meet new people every day. </font>
  9. I sent home a bunch of fully loaded AK-47 banana magazines when I was in Vietnam. I still have most of them along with about eighty rounds of the 7.62 bullets that were in them. If you look on the rim of the bullet there is the last two digits of the date of manufacture, and another number which I am not sure of. The new bullets have a mfg. of '95 for 1995. The ones I sent home from Nam have dates marked '47, '51 the latest date being '55. So some of that ammo was nearly over 20 years old when it was sent to Vietnam, pretty cool . Also the older stuff fires much cleaner because I fired off a magazine one day just to see if it still worked 50 years after manufacture...it sure did. 10. Any idea how much that costs? I only paid about $80.00 for the whole rifle, don't want to drop more into it than it would cost to get another. </font>
  11. Rick...your only hope to preserve the barrel if corrosion protective lubricants are not working is to have the barrel re-blued inside and out.
  12. If that cheap ammo was that corrosive Check stuff from the can then that is one heck of a product. That cheap ammo will put rust crystals damn near the size of rice onto the piston and inside the gas cylinder. </font>
  13. This stuff was designed for muzzle loaders but I use it in the bores of my AK and M-16. Never had any rust, even after shooting crappy ammo or not cleaning for extended periods of time.
  14. dalem My condolences to you and your family.
  15. Good, Steve....thanks for the reply and explanation.

  18. I am sure this was covered, but I searched and could not find anything germaine to this topic. I noticed this at first after the release, and its still there now so maybe no one ever mentioned it. After an action sequence in the game...playing one player WEGO veteran mode, and damage caused by shells etc to buildings or the ground, does not reset when you replay the action. So a crater caused by a bomb or artillery stays on the map when the replay starts, the shell will hit the same spot during the replay, but the crater is already there. Same with building damage. Was gibts????

  21. Fixed your spelling errors for you. Hey, Joe how's the state of the State coming along? What's that? You're too busy trying to think of more lame excuses as to why it's not done to actually work on the thing? OK, so long as the situation is normal, that's all that matters. </font>
