IIRC some of the Canadian soldiers murdered by the 12th SS were killed near Ardennes Abbey which was the location of Kurt Meyer's regimental HQ and an observation post during the entire early Normandy fighting. How Meyer could not have known that these killings were taking place so near his HQ is beyond me.
