  1. Hi guys, I'm actually playing with a friend a PBEM "meeting engagement" battle. The weather is bad : rain and mud, in the morning... Some panzers are bogging sometimes and his infantry is launching an assault near my position with smoke shells. Anyway, I have two questions : </font> Is there more probability to bog a tank in "low" terrain than at the top of a hill ?</font>Is the duration of smoke shell shorter during rain than in a bright sunny morning ?</font> Thanks for your help
  2. Congratulations Zimorodok ! Your "Last Panther" is magnificent ! I've send you a mail this morning about winter version for Pz V ausf. G. Please have a look at the post created by Tracer (IIRC) about suggestions for new mods (look there ). It appears that some panzers are missing in winter version... Thank you again for the work ! Let's go at cmmods.com now... All the best
  3. Hi guys, I'm actually looking for winter version for some panzers in CMBB. I use CMMOS winterfahrzeug pack for most of them but some are missing, please correct me if I miss one : </font> late Pz IV G</font>Pz IV H and J</font>Pz V A and G (early, mid, late)...</font> Is there somebody who knows where I can find these mods ? I don't care if it's not CMMOS compliant but I would prefer a "generic" whitewashed model... like in CMMOS. Any help appreciated ! Thanks
  4. Thank you guys for your posts I have made a copy of the BMP files of the early Tiger I and "play" on it... ...with a lot of layers ! Then I'm waiting for tutorial websites in preparation... Ok, now let's open Photoshop... Cheers.
  5. Hello, Looking at all these amazing mods all around (CMMOS, cmmods.com...) I was wondering where I could find a tutorial to learn "How to make my own mod-experimentation" ? I don't pretend to start modding any panzer but, just to know how to do it and test... The only website I know is the "Zimorodok's mission" or so... but it's on Paint Shop Pro... and I only have Photoshop. It's very well done and gives some clue about the stuff. Thanks for any help ! Cheers
  6. I agree : I've experienced a 400 points "combined forces" battle, where I took the attacking germans. </font> Medium tree coverage</font>Medium hills</font>Random damages</font> The battle began on july 1944, day overcast. The mission was : "Take this hill full of craters !" I chose : </font>1 x Sturm Kompanie</font>2 x Antitank team</font>2 x 81mm mortar</font>1 x Stug III G</font> ...the result : BIG FUN ! This type of engagement is nice if you prefer a short - hard battle where you must preserve your forces. When you have two or three company, the loss of a few men is not so bad. But here, it's a disaster ! Cheers.
  7. OH YES ! From 1939 to 1945 ! The game will come with 2 CD's ? It's a little bit expensive..? Oh come on ! That doesn't matter ! Nations involved : </font> Germany</font>USA</font>Germany</font>Great Britain</font>USSR</font>Poland</font>France</font>Italy</font>Finland</font>Romania</font>Bulgaria</font>Yugoslavia</font>Albania</font>Greece</font>Hungary</font> ...and all the others I have forgotten ! Congratulation to BFC staff for CMAK ! Let's continue this way ! All the best !
  8. Thank you, Leland, for your post ! You know, Mapping Mission is a VERY usefull tool to create historical maps, and I would love to edit a Normandy scenario with all my 1:25000 topographical maps... For now, I create maps of my area and edit them in CMBB. It is funny to see T-34s burning in this CMBB village which represent the place I visited last WE, but here, near the River Seine, there were english and american bridgehead against retreating german troops in summer 1944... So it would be nice to recreate an historical campaign between 79 US ID and 3/503 s.Pz.Abt... Actually, the sector I want to edit is to large and to difficult to be created in the CMBO editor. Thank you again for MM ! Best regards.
  9. Hello ! I well know the website you're talking about : it's very nice but if you want more accurate maps (dating from WW2) try the "map" section of CMMC 2 web page About Mapping Mission in itself, in order to incorporate a map layer under the grid, please try this : </font> Save your map picture in BMP format</font>Find the true dimensions of the map in meters (use the informations about the picture size in Photoshop...) Generally, if you scan a topographic map (1:25000), one centimeter represents 250 meters. Your scanned pictures should keep the same dimensions as your original document. For the maps you've found on the Berkeley's site, look at the scale of each mapsheet : I think each square on the map represents 2 x 2 km)</font>When you have the real dimensions of your map, divide it by 20, it will give you the number of tiles for the CM map. In Mapping Mission, you have to indicate this at the beginning... </font>When, on Mapping Mission, you've created a new map, use the selection tool and select the wole map with it. Then click on "Load underlay Bitmap" or so and find the BMP file of your map. It will put your BMP on your selection (in this case, all the map).</font> Of course, please make sure that you have the good dimensions for the map ! The software, IIRC, will raise or down the BMP in order to fill your selection... I have also a little question... : is it possible to use Mapping Mission to create CMBO maps (yes, CMBO) ? Cheers !
  10. I confirm this ! I have got a Toshiba Laptop (1900-101) with 1,7 GHz processor, 256 Mo Ram and this ATI video card. It works smoothly after some setups (using 3DRage Tweak ). Regards.
  11. Great mod Blanar ! This is the first non-CMMOS mod I have installed. And this is an decisive argument for me. You can trust me when i say your picture impressed me ! It also makes me lucky, as soon as I have installed your mod, my regular Panther D destroyed a SU85 at 700 meters with its first shot... My PBEM opponent is not so pleased What about this ? So nice ! Best regards to all.
  12. Thank you Moon ! I wasn't aware that this bug would be fixed in 1.03... About this new patch, when will it be available ? And how big it will be ? All the best.
  13. Hello Guys, First, I notice that I use a French CDV 1.02 version of CMBB, but the problem may appear in an other version  It takes place in the parameters pannel for a new campaign, in the scenario editor. When you select an "advance" or "assault" type of operation, you can setup the size of the map, during a battle. By default, this value is 1200m, Ok. If you want to increase this distance, easy, you click on the (+) button, next right to the little box (where the size is displayed). But... ...how can you decrease this distance ? Ther's no (-) button, and you cannot overwrite the value in the white box !? I was making a new campaign for fun, with a very long map (1200 x 4000 m) and I hesitated about the map size : 1200, 1400, 2000 m ? I raised the value to 2000 m or so and realised that it was to big. Then, I stopped : impossible to change the size ! I need your help ! Cheers.
  14. Where are these mods (I'm intersted on Panthers, SturmTiger and ISU...) I'm too tired, here is my mouse, please show me ! Cheers. I've downloaded the Autobahn ruleset but where are the mods in relation with ? [ March 06, 2003, 11:56 AM: Message edited by: Bogdan ]
  15. Aaaarghh !! I keep have the "Autobahn" ruleset and marders... I've checked on three (yes 3) computers... What did I wrong ?
  16. Hi, I'm sorry but, when opening your link, I only have the "old" new CMMOS mods : Marder II, Whitewashed Tiger, snow mods... And, when I look at the CMMOS, no new Panthers anywhere. Please tell me how can I get the mods, but speak slowly Regards
  17. I'm playing only with 2 opponents in PBEM at evening. But these guys work in the same place than me. Then everyone have a PBEM with the two others... Lunches are great ! I've made them discover the game some months ago. I feel now like a mad doctor who has inoculated them a very strong virus ! They are completely infected. Regards.
  18. Hi, IMO, the two bottom pictures represent IS 2m (late version of IS 2) and IS 2 (early version here in 3 colors camouflage pattern). The major difference is on the hull front design : the first version had a "shot trap" (?) which was corrected with IS 2m (where "m" means "modified"). Cheers ! PS : I don't find my book !
  19. Wonderfull !!! To know cost data is very usefull for me. Great job, congratulations ! Cheers.
  20. Hello and welcome ! Nice to see a new CM player here. Cheers.
