  1. Seriously what's going on in Israel, this doesn't look good. Looks like a prelude that could end in wider events in the region.
  2. In WW2 there was anti-sub netting around important ports. I guess Russians must be thinking something similar against naval drones after this serious incident.
  3. Yes I know the numbers look good on paper, but I wouldn't want to see another conflict there. Not sure how the rest of Africa will welcome a sizeable western intervention there.
  4. Anyone else worried about the Niger coup and the weakening of French/western influence there and the rest of African neighbors. I was never a pro colonial but I wouldn't also want to see Russian/Chinese puppets there taking power. They are going to do the same or worse than what Europeans did a century ago. Wagner is supposedly involved. Is this a world wide exporting of the ukrainian conflict, or just small imperialist moves on the checkerboard. I can see all this shaping in a big Western vs /ex colonial /Russo chinese hybrid war sooner than later. Damn, World shifthing events ahead for all of us in this decade.
  5. Not sure who is winning at the moment....But for me Russia showed great tenacity and character when after the first months of shocking losses, abysmal performance, units simply abandoning shining expensive equipment and an unrealistic plan of conquering Ukraine with 200k men and bad intellgence, managed to bite back and hold the line so far against practically the support of 40 NATO countries and a total western blackout on their economy. That was a blow that would break any country to pieces. Russia was ridiculed, for its drunk tank drivers, the washing machine looters, the Moskva fiasco, the javelin cope cages, the dodgy weapons from the 50s and so on...Yet it now casually destroys Leo2s and Bradleys in perfect killing zones, has now the edge on drone warfare and Electronic warfare and its industry is working 24h round the clock fully adapting to the urgency of the situation. Russia has not commited yet the bulk of their 140 million population, people home are not much affected by the war and a good part of its losses are tens of thousands of convicts and poor minorities in contrast with Ukraine that is offering the core of their male population. More importantly, Russia enjoys a vast superiority in air support that is still important to dominate a battlefield and make a wider offensive succesfull. Ukraine seems better in ISR, precision and small infantry unit action but these alone cant dominate the front. Ukraine lacks the critical mass to push Russia out any time soon imo. And the western support coming in small waves and pieces ends up getting destroyed in small waves and pieces instead of decisevely altering the balance at once. The next phase could be a full NATO intervention that Russia can't cope with, but I'm not sure whether this would be a positive escalation for anyone.
  6. I've heard, when on tour, the Bolhsoi ballet uses the BTR-60
  7. That concentration of force makes me wonder if russians really do feel that confident about their forces holding in the South, or the opposite, and they are trying to scream loudly in the North to distract the momentum of UKR just the right moment.
  8. At this point I think NATO armies have more to learn from UKR veterans than they can teach them. I don't think there are officers in NATO ranks that have fought an actual peer to peer war.
  9. For a moment I thought geography was inverted to prove my point false. Thanks. All I wanted to say before I was shot on the wall, was that the fears of Russia reaching the Atlantic with the current scale and intentions of this war, have no actual base in reality or history. At least, I'm glad I unite this forum
  10. Please laugh if this makes you less anxious about Russia invading Netherlands Please read again my post. "Went deeper in Western Europe". That's quite different than a war on their western border. But the truth is Berlin and Paris saw russian soldiers in their streets only after Germans and French tried to march in Moscow.
  11. Historically Russia went deeper into Western Europe only after Western Europe attacked Russia. Napoleon, Hitler etc..Kinda of reactionary counter offensive. I can't see this changing now, especially since the motivation of russians to fight in Ukraine and protect vital interests and russian populations there is already low and men are fleeing to Georgia, Turkey and god knows where else. Russia doenst have the means to advance even past the Dnieper. NATO air foce alone will be enough to stop them. Realisticaly the only fear is the nuclear escalation. Thats why we are trying to keep this war "small"
  12. Stopped checking my phone to go out and now the coup is over? I'm so confused. So Russia, is a riddle wrapped in a mystery, inside an enigma after all... Maybe though inside a madman's mind.
  13. Maybe I missed those videos. That lead me to the impression that the en masse surrender or abandonment of equipment of the early weeks of the war are no longer. I think the addition of barrier units were introduced later to counter these. Still shocking these are still employed like it's the 40s again....
  14. Haven't seen one for a while, guess some still want to live!
  15. Speaking of the quality or mentality of the Russian troops in Ukraine...I'm trying to figure an explanation why we are seeing less and less russian prisoners, and the ones in the video prefer to die than surrender/retreat. It's like Stalin not one step back 1941 again? What's going on. We literally saw Ukraine SF begging them to surrender but still didn't work... Is it the misery of war that has taken all sense and desire for life, is it the NKVD squad waiting in the woods behind, is it drugs, is it brainwashing, has the mutual hate crossed the point of no return, or we don't see enough of what's happening to pows (from both sides) ?
  16. After the suicide vbied T55s, MTLBs, the moving House tank, Lada Niva AT hunter, maybe there is enough material for a future module with the chance to see also sidecars in CM:
  17. Not sure about downed Ka 52s but this one definitely got hit by something but still goes on flying: (apologies if this has been posted before)
  18. Zaporizha front, beware of the Lada Niva tank hunter.
  19. Hey who's screaming now. It's not my fault I had to reply to 20 posts about copium. I'm out for now. Peace.
  20. The thing is, I never expected the forum to take a meme word like Copium so seriously! I personally find it funny, it's unfortunate that this was taken as screaming insults to fellow members or undermining their intelligence, which absolutely is not my intend. It was in a definetely lighter tone, written text cannot convey accurately. Maybe in my other words I put some of the everyday pressure and I'm not on the receiving end to realize it. Something to improve I guess.
  21. There, thank you. I think I can't edit to avoid misunderstanding. Undermining was meant for Underestimating /bashing /ridiculing Apologies
  22. I could reply unleashing the dangerous isotope Copium that shocked some people here , but I forgive you for falling so low and calling me a Putin propagandist, since you are clearly in rant mode
