  1. CMAK Sid Meir's Gettysburg Mech Brigade I'd put CMSF on the list, if they can ever fix it!
  2. Adam is right. It is very disappointing that we were all duped into play testing BFSF. This is nothing new for Paradox games as the two titles that I have purchased of thiers never worked properly. I resolved to never buy another of thier games as a result. I purchased the game from the BFC web site based on my good experience with them in the past (silly me). I was shocked to see Paradox involved in the project, as my experience with them has been so bad in the past. The total disreguard of the opinion of loyal BFC customers on the WEGO live and QB problems is very disappoining. For me these were the heart of the BFC systems and at present I get little to no enjoyment from the title as a result. For now BFSF is a waste of my money and space on my hard drive. I patiently wait for each patch hoping that I will be able to start playing and enjoying it as much as I still play and enjoy other BFC products.
  3. If the game I already paid for ever works properly I'll consider buying another, purchased CMSF based on the other CM titles I love! Should have known with Paradox involved this game would be a bugfest.
  4. Still play TCP/IP games of AK and BB. Easy to find a game at the Scenario Depot chat room, SF players meet there too. http://www.the-proving-grounds.com/chat.html Would play BO but I stepped on my disc a few years ago. =(
  5. The new command system seem to me to be the greatest impediment to RT play, having to shuffle menus is a nightmare. If each command had a specific intuative key (F for fast, Q for quick, etc.) tied to it (as CMx1) it would be easier, but now every command requires you to change menus before issuing the appropriate order. Make a mistake and that target order you thought you issued turns out to be a fatal move command you had no intention of issuing, meantime you've rushed across the map to command another unit. This is less likely in 'turn based' games but the pressure of RT means it's a constant annoyance.
  6. The CM community needs a wego TCP/IP for CMSF. Live play is much quicker than sitting in a chat room sending files back and forth. The vagaries of email can lead to long delays waiting for servers to send messages. It is also much more fun to talk smack when you both see that unit eliminated on the spot (though I am more often than not on the receiving end). The present RT mode is unplayable beyond a company sized action, even at that the number of options available to each unit makes it bewildering. Please consider giving us a wego live mode. That is all.
  7. Elite- Always play with the toughest settings, I'm cool like dat.
  8. I only started this topic since I remembered it as a WEGO, and it is a title for the Commodore 64, from the 80s, I don't think that is competeing with CM titles! Wouldn't have started a discussion on a product that competes with Battlefront! Since I got CMBO I can't play any other tactical games!
  9. Hmmm I am positive that both sides moved at the same time after orders were given, admitedly the 80s are a bit hazy for me. I'm probably wrong on this since so many rememberit differently, was still an awesome game.
  10. Can I start the "When will patch 1.05 be out?" thread now?
  11. We all love Battlefront, with all the scars and bullet holes intact. I think it comes down to that old adage "A good soldier is never happy unless he's complaining." And by the way, pleeeeeeeeze give me a way to turn off that wicked annoying muzak! I play so many PBEMs I hear it in my sleep now. And what's up with that ululating broard? Make it stop! That proves I'm a good soldier, see? That is all.
  12. Anyone remember Mech Brigade (1985 Strategic Simulation by Gary Grigsby), a WEGO title for the C64? I loved that game and wore out my 5 1'4 inch disks before I stopped playing it in about 1990. It was amazing and before CMBO I never saw another WEGO title. By the way is anyone guarding the Fulda Gap?
  13. The feature I most want to see is the ability to turn the music off! It's wicked annoying! Playing as many PBEM as I do I'm starting to hear it in my sleep! That is all. Sgt. K
  14. I've created a 2nd Hamachi CMSF network: Network Name: CMSF-Battlenet Network Password: Battlenet Hurry and join! Only 16 spots available
  15. Hail and well met all! I'm as nervous as an altar boy in the rectory posting here, but what the hell, I can take the abuse, I may even learn to enjoy it. Let me begin by introducing myself. I'm a long time wargamer, back to the days of cardboard maps and chits, when I was master of the venerable A-choo move (those who don't know what the A-choo move entails are just the sort it works best against, ignorant saps). Have had to develope a different attack since the proliferation of the personal computer, as a-choo is a strictly an 'in person' stategy. None the less, without this awesome advantage I still manage to win the occasional game or two on the computer. I shall be issueing the Peng Challenge to several withing the next few days and will consider mercilessly taunting any with the temerity to refuse my offer. Till then, gird well your loins, as I soon sally forth to do battle on that Field of Honor known as Peng! Your respectfully, Sgt. K PS Any use of the term 'fresh meat'(or similar epithets) in regards my person will be grounds for severe reprisal on my part. Be forewarned I will not be responsible for the harshness such a characterization may elicit.
