I was thinking HE would make a lot of matchsticks if it hit a tree, but I could see an AT shot being stopped as the tree absorbs all that kinetic energy so well.

I am certainly not arguing for keeping tree indestructability as it is today, but they are pretty tough!!

I really like that idea, I don't like guessing what medium duration might be for a 75mm field gun, if it showed a number for rate of fire and number of shells that would be a great improvement.

I certainly agree with you modders have done amazing things in transforming games and devoted huge amounts of time and effort to a project for free, but to plug that into a business model is a different thing.

I have often wondered about this. If amour piercing ammo is of no great benefit against soft targets or buildings it would not worth infantry carrying it, but perhaps was justified for vehicles that would more likely go head to head with lightly armoured vehicles.

Funnily enough I started a QB yesterday and noticed all my squads with MG's started out holding their walther (not an inuendo)!!
I am sure they were still firing the MG when needed I will have to go back to look closer.

i was just going to start a thread on this game, but you beat me to it. It is really interesting the way they have gone with the game. The operational level is a really nice touch but it is very limited compared to CM in terms of unit and environment variety.
Also i cannot figure out how to do anything at the moment, i really hope they bring out some user friendly guides

Aragorn2002 that does seem a bit harsh, seems to me the stealth release was to get it out for people that have been shouting for it. Full announcement would have taken longer to release the game, so better this way.

all downloaded and working if kludge includes renaming the installer filled to .zip then yes I had to do that too to make it work.

This is a tough one for the AI to get right, my most recent battle i was screamming at my schrek team to fire at the cluster of enemy but he would only use his pistol, but more often i want them to save them and wait for an armoured target and not waste them on infantry.

Great quote that Iraq officer prisoners slept out in the open rather than be seen by the rank and file repairing their tents. Very telling of the mentality of their army leaders.
