    I'm back

You like that move, eh? I should have stuck it out longer but I got bored and went for a straight out kill. The smack talk was good too....."Burrrrrrn" is going to be my go to line from now on....

    I'm back

That area denial, turret stream-drop beginning of that last game was awesome....if you had told me in the first few minutes that Phantom and I would make a game of it I wouldn't have believed you. Great game seesawing game....
  3. That was rather sneaky with the infantry at the north bridge head! </font>
  4. I dropped into Dry Gulch for the last game of the day and help rua'anith try to take and hold that damn bridge...that was a nice battle. Lots of long distance HEAT throwing to interdict the defenders reinforcement. Redcon and company really threw the kitchen sink at us.
  5. Actually, you will see alot of cinderblock in the Middle East. That won't do much to stop a round.
  6. Regarding Member # 9810: Right...so your helped write a buggy game and now you're whinging about this one. But it wasn't your fault, now you'd know better and you'd do it differently if you could....I'm sure Charles is crushed to know it. Good on ya! Cheers!
  7. He's still on the forums over at Matrix if you want to go say hello. </font>

    Wish List

Clay, I updated to 1.2.9 and had a pretty serious crash to desktop about five minutes in. Where do I find that crash report again?
  9. I was completely confused by that phenomenon today as I was trying to spot what I know suppose wass you and I couldn't figure out what the turrets were firing at yet the bots around me were entirely passive. Did you get a kick out of me spinning in circles trying to find you? Also, is it me or are the bots incredibly accurate with HEAT at a very long distance?
  10. Ah...I suppose you don't explain to the infantry exactly what their role in the op is then.....
  11. It was fun to be back....I forgot how fast and furious it gets. One thing I am wondering is whether anyone has come up with a good cutter protection strategy?
  12. Hey Clay...I sent you that email but I suspect my email got caught in your spam blocker. Shoot me the setup at waboyle@aol.com. Thanks.
  13. Hey folks, I got a new computer unexpectedly and now don't know how to reinstall dropteam. Any thoughts?

hehe, no matter how hard you try, in "house to house" the involuntary bot-cutter charge is the bane of the unwary team. </font>

jby, that was a fun game...I was lucky to stumble on five or six of their cutters and knock them out all at once. I think that forced jung, et alia out of their game and let me simply hunt the rest of the cutters and avoid difficult engagements. I do think the Ariel is pretty powerful but it is very vulnerable to arty and for some reason is an ATGM magnet. The bots crushed me the other day with mortars and shrikes.

Poesal, I've been trying out CZ a fair amount lately and must say excellent job! The nebelwerfer paladin, the amped infantry and the other mods really change the game in interesting ways. Good stuff.
  18. I also have been lurking, waiting for the next CM and interested in seeing how ToW turns out. Meanwhile, War in the Pacific have filled my PBEM crave. Nothing like a 3 year PBEM game to keep you on your toes Good to see many of the other 'old timers' still around and supporting the CM series. Chad </font>

    things I like

My favorite (and all too infrequent) moment is the long range engine kill with a HEAT on a moving target. Chambering the coup de grace is almost a let down.
