  1. jagcommander, Are you saying that the files cannot be unzipped or that CMBB cannot load the scenario? I'm using a registered version of Winzip 8.1 to zip the files, and I've successfully unzipped them. I've opened the files in an ASCII editor and they appear similar in structure to other CMBB files. I'm at work at the moment so I am unable to test load the files...anyone else out there experiencing similar issues?
  2. I've noticed this as well. However I believe what is happening is that the CMBB and CMBO Scenario Screens are simply right justifying the scenario name, and there is only space for 25 characters. The scenario name remains the same, thus is in the correct alphabetical order, but any characters beyond 25 from the right margin are not displayed. Try Renaming the scenario to "Came Saw & Goddamn Russians". An important aesthetic tip to scenario authors is to remember that scenario names can only be a specific length and still be properly displayed on the scenario selection screen, as well as the scenario title down at the bottom of the screen when actually fighting the battle.
  3. Night on Bald Mountain by Modest Mussorgsky (1839 - 1881)
  4. vonSteuben, The link had gotten tweaked. It has been repaired and you can now download the battle.
  5. The Graeme, You did everything correctly. Here's how the system works: Authors post the battle or operation synopsis to The Scenario Depot. They then email me the unzipped file. If the following day is a weekday, I manage to post files by 7:30am that follwoing day. If the following day is a weekend day, I'll usually get the file posted by the following Monday at 7:30am. Please remember to always put the purpose of your email in the Subject line, such as "CMBO Battle Submission". I have some pretty aggressive spam killers operating, and emails with blank subject lines are deleted.
  6. The Graeme, Actually, I prefer to receive the battle and operation files unzipped. I have a registered version of Winzip, and I end up rezipping files anyways. I genuinely look forward to receiving your scenarios. I personally like "short and sweet" battles that can be played between when I get home from work and dinner time (about 1 to 1.5 hours).
  7. Offwhite, Musta been lost in the aether. Please resend and I'll post it ASAP.
  8. All, I took a few well-deserved days off from just about everything except working on the brewery. As a result, I have just managed to upload and link about a dozen CMBB/CMBO battles, operations, and maps. Apologies to the authors and players alike for delays in getting these posted. In addition, I am still waiting for files for the following submissions: Ambush T34 Angriff auf Brücke Belyi Road Will the authors please contact me or send a file.
  9. All, If you have something constructive to contribute to the development or improvement of battles and operations, then by all means post a review. Obvious personal attacks and blatant trolling will simply be deleted. I've removed trollish reviews before, and I'll continue to do so.
  10. Hans, Posted your Sino-Japanese battle, and uploaded/linked the file. I suspect that the percent sign in the Author Comments may have confused the submission page. As to the server...no, I believe it's located in Texas.
  11. Hans, Please forward the details of the battle to me and I'll see what I can do about submitting it for you. The database seems just fine...reads/writes from my end (both from home and work) with no problems. Could be something funky with the server/internet/whoknowswhat. Perhaps it simply needs another anointing with a few drops of Russian Imperial Stout...
  12. Maj Soshtokovich, I own, operate, and maintain The Scenario Depot. If you are having problems with the site, I'll be the guy that addresses them. Both links should work. The first has a redirector page which takes you from the old site to the new site. What errors are you seeing? Which browser are you using? Is anyone else observing issues? Details, please. The site has been operational all weekend, and I just uploaded several battles and operations this morning.
  13. All, Sincerest apologies for the delay in posting battles and operations. My laptop drive took a complete dump, and I have spent a frantic weekend bringing it back up to speed. Thank goodness I had just backed it up the previous night! Everything that has been posted to me over the weekend has been uploaded and linked. Enjoy!
  14. Battle and Operation synopses are usually posted by the author, or an authorized representative. I only occassionally post the synopsis, and then only upon authorial permission. If the Boots and Tracks team has no objections, someone could post the battle parameters for any of the missing battles and operations. I'll be away at Games Day LA for a couple of days starting tonight, so if you submit scenarios to The Scenario Depot, please be patient.
  15. nevermind, Send me your email address (mine's in my profile) and I'll send you an unzipped copy of the battle. I'll be sending the file from my work account, so I'll be explicit in the Subject line of my email to you (you'll understand when you see it).
  16. nevermind, I just downloaded "Small Battles, Bidermann's Gun". I successfully unzipped the 17kb zip file to a 18k CME file. I have also looked at the internal structure of the file and it seems fine. Unfortunately (on many levels) I'm at work and cannot load up the file in CMBB...can anyone else help us out here? What is the size of the respective files you download/unzip?
  17. 6:30pm Pacific Time is when I bug out. I've d/l'ed The Collective from B&T. I think you sent me a version of PinF about a month ago, so I'll see if I can locate that, but it certainly wouldn't hurt to have a current version.
