  1. jwxspoon, I just posted new CMBB Battle Submission pages which now list Soviets, Partisans, Romanians, and Polish as Allies, and Germans, Hungarians, Italians, Romanians, and Finnish as Axis. Next to the nationality drop-down list is a "Formation" drop-down list which will then dynamically list the forces available only to that nationality, e.g., Infantry, Security, Ski, Guards, etc. I may re-work the formation Javascript and make it a single long drop-down, depending on how much trouble it gives people. I'm working on the CMBB Battles Index page to list the little bitmaps which correspond to the different nationalities and formations. Note that the CMBB Battles Search engine now allows you to search on these various new parameters.
  2. jwxspoon, Thanks, both to you and to everyone who has emailed kind words of encouragement over the past year. I genuinely appreciate the appreciation. I thoroughly enjoy supporting Combat Mission and hope that The Scenario Depot is one of the reasons that prompts anyone considering the purchase of CM to go ahead and buy it. When I'm not brewing up a batch of Scotch Ale or Russian Imperial Stout, I can usually be found tinkering with the site...keeps me off the streets and out of mischief. xerxes, I believe 0's are already counting as nothing and do not contribute towards the final score, but I'll double check that. If such is the case, I'll code that in once I have finished with the CMBB Operations Synopsis and Search pages. Anyone else enthusiastic about Top 20 Over 3? And how about CMBB Reviews? Looks like we have several hundred downloads and no reviews yet...Come on, guys. CMBB Scenario Authors - Does anyone have any issue with the posting of the CMBB Battle and CMBB Operation parameters (not the actual files) for review purposes?
  3. Pascal, It is normal for battles an doperations to not be available for download 1 to 2 days after the author submits it. If it is still unavailable after that, that usually indicates that the author has not yet sent it to me. I often send emails to the authors prompting them to send the associated file, but occassionally even I receive no response. Why someone would post a scenario for review, and then send no file, is somewhat perplexing. Scenario authors...If you submit a battle or operation, please email the unzipped .cmb, .cmc, .cme, or .cmf to me immediately afterwards. Players...if you do not see a battle or operation posted, email the author and prompt them to forward the file to me. The entire CM community would be appreciative.
  4. Trey, Operation uploaded and linked. Tried it out, too. KV-2's are a pain in the arse. Tough operation but it's one that really makes you try hard for the objective. You gotta be clever and careful.
  5. Rob, I'm actively searching for the following replicas of WWI medals: Hohenzollern House Order with Swords Order of the Red Eagle with Swords Any suggestions on where to get them? Ebay never seems to have them, although I know they exist as replicas.
  6. Sorry guys... Yes, As described in the News section, I have broken up the lists into individual sections...Battles, Operations, and Maps. This allows the page to load faster, as well as allowing me to add more features as time progresses. I'll add a bit of descriptive text to the seemingly blank page to explain things. Sorry for the confusion.
  7. I'm still at: admketh@dragonlair.net (Home) or kmiller@axcelerant.com (Work) Always try the first one, although I don't pick up mail every day simply due to fatigue. I'm busily coding the new CMBB parameters into the CMBB Battle Submission and Operation Submission pages, as well as the CMBB Battle Synopsis and CMBB Operation Synopsis pages. The CMBB Battle Search and CMBB Operation Search engines are also slated to be updated. I hope to have these done sometime on 09.29.02, but that's dependent upon real life. Plus I've got a batch of 90 Shilling Wee Heavy Scoth Ale to bottle. Michael, send me the links and I'll definitely update them on Sunday.
  8. Genuine apologies for the snail's-pace changes at The Scenario Depot lately. Work had been brutal in the number of hours they are demanding, as well as I have had a close relative pass away. Guys...same host, just newer servers, a lot more storage space (2Gb), more transfer (20Gb/month), and waaaay newer versions of MySQl and PHP. I'm still working out some details, so I haven't had Network Solutions update my DNS entries yet. The original URL has a redirector which shoots you over to the new site. Once the DNS entries have been made and the servers update themselves (usually between 24 and 72 hours) everything should be back to normal. In the mean time, I've necessarily disabled a couple of features (like the Authors' pages) which rely upon domain names to locate some data. I'll keep everyone posted via The Scenario Depot's News page. I'm also adding newer submission pages for CMBB to cover all of the new parameters, as well as modifying the CMBB Battle Synopsis and CMBB Operation Synopsis pages to take the new fields into account. The CMBB Search pages will also be modified for more detailed searching. I've also got a couple of other skunkworks projects being developed for the CM community, but they are on a "time permitting" basis. By the by, has anyone noticed that The Lists are now using a Top 10 Over 3 calculation? I'm considering changing it to Top 20 Over 3...any thoughts?
  9. Dryfear, The Scenario Depot is proud to host 1150+ CMBO battles and 110+ CMBO operations. Scenario submission is easy...select the theater of operations (CMBO or CMBB), select Submit a New Battle or Submit A New Operation, and enter the parameters. Post the parameters to the database. Then email the unzipped file to me at admketh@dragonlair.net. I'll upload it to The Scenario Depot and associate the appropriate links to the scenario parameters you posted. From there, you can then see how many times your scenario has been downloaded, plus receive player reviews of your scenario. If you have any questions whatsoever regarding the submission process, please do not hesitate to email me at the address above.
  10. Nefarious, You'll also find 1150+ CMBO battles and 110+ CMBO operations over at The Scenario Depot. Top 10 Over 3 lists and detailed scenario search engines will help you locate the specific battle or operation for which you are looking. CMBB-related scenario are also being posted, too. After you download and play a scenario, be sure to come back to The Scenario Depot and review it. This gives the scenario author and other players feedback on your views of the scenario's strengths and weaknesses.
  11. Alas and alackaday, the postman has come and gone in Garden Grove, California...nothing but bills.
  12. Captitalistdoginchina, I haven't seen it arrive in my in-box. Please send it again amd I'll get it posted ASAP.
  13. OK guys, Uploaded and linked 7 battles and 1 operation. Received another battle, but the author is making me enter the battle parameters...it'll be up in the morning. Dook, please send me the "3 Churches" battle, or link to it. Received a boatload of new maps (Thanks, theike). I'll get these up once I get a spare picosecond.
  14. Genuine apologies for the delay in getting scenarios scanned and posted. The most recent scenarios haven't been uploaded yet. I've had some personal issues (physical therapy for bad knees, mother-in-law in hospital, etc.) that needed attending to over the last couple of weeks. If everything goes according to plan, I'll be updating The Scenario Depot with the new scenarios later this evening. I've also been diligently working on the site upgrade for the impending release of CMBB. I've modified quite a few things, including adding code to mimic BigDog's Top Ten Over 3 lists. I'm desperately trying to get those changes posted and the site transfered to my new mega-server, but real life has a way of interrupting even the best-laid plans. Again, apologies to both the players and the authors for the delay.
  15. benpark, Haven't been ignoring you, things have been tough at work of late (I'm on hour 15 of what looks to be an 18 hour day). All, Scenarios always get posted as follows: 1) If you enter the Scenario Synopsis info via the Submit A New Battle option, those scenarios get posted within a day or two. 2) If you simply send me the scenario without entering Scenario Synopsis info, then I will research the varibles and enter them, but when I find a spare picosecond. Option 1 is always preferred and is the option described when authors submit scenarios. As per the Battle Submission page... --snip----snip-- If you intend to have the Scenario Depot host the file for this battle, leave these fields blank. Then email the battle to Admiral Keth, along with the name of the battle from the first field. --snip----snip--
  16. Sgt. Schultz, Head on over to The Scenario Depot. There are four Kelly's Heroes-based scenarios that can be downloaded. They both can be found under Battles, then click K. They are: Kelly's Heroes Battle 1 Kelly's Heroes Battle 2 Kelly's Heroes, Three Tigers v2 Kelly's Heroes,Workin on the Railroad
  17. Goanna/All, Apologies for my fat fingers. The file was there, just mis-named. Go get it and enjoy!
  18. Anywhere near Garden Grove/Newport/Cost Mesa would be great. I know of a wonderful German resaurant...the Einbecker. Great food, great beer.
  19. Hans, I did receive the two scenarios (Into the Breach and Village Fracas) you recently sent. They are both now posted. I do not allow direct uploads to The Scenario Depot as a safety measure. There's just too great of a chance that someone might upload something harmful. Everyone should note that recently I was incoomunicado due to a nasty upgrade experience (pokey P4-800 to zippy P4-1.6). However, I'm once again able to pick up mail.
  20. Hector, I revised the hidden DateAdded field to reflect the fact that I belatedly posted your operation. It once again shows up on the New Operations list.
  21. There are a few scenario authors who have recently submitted Scenario Synopses to The Scenario Depot, but have yet to attach or forwarded files. I need for the following authors to contact me at admketh@dragonlair.net: Daniel Haeni Alexander N. Lassner Wayne Rutledge I've attempted to email each of you several times based on the email address submitted to The Scenario Depot, but have received no response. If anyone is in current contact with these authors, please let them know I am searching for them.
