  1. I don't remember seeing the 9000-point feature advertised but I don't doubt what you're saying. If they really did promise this function, perhaps they will add it in a patch. Just enjoy what you have right now, tell Battlefront what improvements should be included in the patch, and wait for its release. That's all you can do.
  2. Gordon, Count me in as well. I'm already working on some feld grau vehicles but the idea of coordinating mod production is a very good idea in light of the huge amount of modding to be done. Email me at jbunnelle@berry.edu
  3. I've got a Pentium III 550 overclocked at 670 or so. Also a GeForce DDR, 256 RAM. Game runs great on my machine but I haven't tried any 5000 point battles because I don't enjoy them. Smaller ones work fine.
  4. Yes, great work indeed. Really shows how much you care about your product. Also, love the tactic of hiding the CD inside the manual. Really gave us junkies a jolt. I almost had a heart attack until I got the shrinkwrap off.
  5. Thanks, I missed that thread. Sorry, I should have searched first. Things get buried on this board so fast if you're not constantly monitoring it.
  6. I've heard people talking about running the game at high resolutions (1600 X 1200), but when inputing my settings after installation, the highest it gave me was 1024 X 768. How can I make it higher? Will it not offer higher settings if your desktop is not already set to the desired resolution?
  7. Dowarisch, Does the Euro version have a standard DVD case? If so, let me know and I'll make an insert for it as well. Don't want to exclude you guys.
  8. 1600x1200? I didn't think the game's resolution went that high.
  9. I toyed with textures but black looks the best. Isn't CMBB worth a little toner? You can always open it in Paintshop, mask the images and paint over it if you wish. Would anyone be interested in a CD tray that consists of all the Hotkeys? [ September 26, 2002, 12:32 PM: Message edited by: jmbunnelle ]
  10. Uploading it again now. Dimensions were kind of screwy so I altered a few things. Before printing it: 1. Make sure page orientation is set for "landscape" in your print properties. 2. Make sure the "fit image to page" box is unchecked or it will fill up an entire 8.5x11 sheet. Available at above URL now.
  11. Okay, since several people have asked for it, here's a CD cover for CMBB that uses my operational-map mainscreen. Looks best if printed on photo paper on highest quality printer settings (map is much clearer that way). Enjoy! CM:BB JEWEL CASE INSERT Download: http://eaw.free.fr/JB/cdcmmb.zip
  12. Here are the other mainscreens that I didn't have time to post in my first thread: Finland, Smolensk, Kiev, Day One Barbarossa, Vitebsk, Typhoon, and Signpost in Belorussia. I'll have them posted for a few days so if you want them, download them now. Locations and dates are from the source material which seems well-researched. Again, sorry for the lack of Soviet pics but I don't have any high-quality source material. Now if someone would just do a mainscreen of a wife/girlfriend glaring menacingly from behind! 13. I'm converting the first mainscreen into a CD insert. Stay tuned. EDIT: Done. See other thread for link. [ September 26, 2002, 12:33 PM: Message edited by: jmbunnelle ]
  14. Thanks for the nice comments, guys! I'm having trouble finding color Soviet pics that weren't "colorized" later. Hopefully soon. These files are pretty big so I probably won't have them posted for long. But I'll keep them up as long as possible.
  15. Hi everyone, I've created several new mainscreens from various color eastern front photos I've collected, and one old operational map for Barbarossa. I don't have room to post them for good so if anyone wants to host them, let me know. 16. I LOVE the increased plane usage. Bought two Stukas and a couple of Bf109's (E&F) in a QM last night. The Bf109's have strafed about every third turn or so, causing very little damage. Not sure if they're really worth it. The Stukas have dropped bombs three times so far (I'm on turn 16). Obviously their target acquisition skills are dependent on terrain, weather, etc. But I had one nail a T-34 that had emerged into a clearing, just as it was about to pound the side of my PZIII. The playback looked great.
  17. Oh god...until 2:30 last night. So wanted to finish but those damn Soviet MG'ers just wouldn't give it up, even with Stukas dropping bombs on them and a Bf109F strafing them.
  18. Pound like all hell on one small section and shove armor through. I was stuck in a stalemate but once I punched a hole in the wall, it was encirclements and a mad dash for Moscow.
  19. LOL, that's great! I think the board (err..map) looks barren without them. I mean, how can you play a wargame without hexes???? It's like beer without burping.
  20. Chalk it up to CMBB. Probably just a lull.
