I just did, and was surprised to see that many of them. They all seem to be doing a lot better than me. Maybe I'll change my real name to Tanks a Lot to avoid the comparison.Originally posted by junk2drive:btw ever do a goggle search for edkinney ?

Sorry for not responding sooner. Just needed to get away from the mod mines for a while.
I'm getting the urge back, and contemplating a pretty big project. I don't want to give away what mod I'm thinking of "building" or how long before they would be "hitting the beaches" of CMMODS.

Thanks.Originally posted by Tom Murphy:Looks great. I also visited your sight. I noticed you have some marsh mods and I have a question related to marsh in the snow. In CMBB, there seems to be no difference between the appreance of marsh and ice when the terrain is snow or light snow. Do you know of any mods where the marsh has some sort of visible texture in the snow where you can tell the difference between marsh and water (ice)?
Unfortunately there is no separate marsh for snowy ground conditions. I think the marsh and ice use the same textures.

In CMAK, the fall doodads don't actually show up in fall. I usually set the month to March to see them. I don't know if it's the same in CMBB, but try setting the month to March. I probably should have called the fall versions something like "non summer" versions since they appear every other season.Originally posted by theike:hmm...i have cmbb and after i just put in the 2110/2111 doodads they dissapeared on screenview.
Ive just put the original bmps back that i had saved incase, but they aswell now dont show anymore. the summer wheat doodads still show but the fall doodads dont anymore....
Anybody know how this can be undone?

Over at CMMODS
Philippe requested that I make a toned-down version of my recent wheat mod, and also make a standard-res version for people with slower systems. I also made a bigger difference in coloring between the summer and fall versions. There is only one set of doodads that are used for all the seasons, so I made separate versions to match each one. Mod managers will make switching back and forth easier. CMBO users should not copy the doodads to their BMP folder because it might over-write something. I separated the hi-res version, standard-res version and doodads into separate folders to help avoid any problems.
Here's the new summer version...
and the new fall version.
Thanks to Philippe for his suggestions and help.

The people that complain about CM's graphics obviously haven't seen Juju's work.
I remember being amazed at that first treebase mod, and finding out he was only using MS Paint. Amazing work once again.

I have a few comments. Here is the disclaimer in the readme of my mods.
This mod is released for free in-game use to the Combat Mission community. Alteration or modification to any of the files contained here-in, or posting of this mod pack for download is expressly prohibited unless prior permission is obtained.
You not only didn't ask my permission, but you released some of my work unchanged. You then give people permission to freely modify what is actually mine.
I hope you consider removing my work from CMMODS, and in the future, please ask if you want to release mods based on mine. Thanks.

You're all welcome. Remember, it's a treat to beat your feet on some hi-res wheat.

Now at CMMODS
Summer version and fall through spring versions included. I didn't make much difference in the two versions because the same doodads are used for both.
For a little comparison, here's my hi-res wheat:
and the stock wheat.
Here's a close-up look at my new wheat.
Thanks to Juju for testing and his usual help.

Thanks Paul, glad the marsh fits in with your Pacific theater conversion.

Thanks.Originally posted by Vergeltungswaffe:Beautiful as always, Tanks.
I like junk2drive's idea of renumbering with +30000 for NA.
I like the idea too. Saves me from coming up with a whole new marsh.

I think they were carried in by swallows. Of course not African swallows since they are non-migratory.Originally posted by jeffsmith:Are Lily Pads Native to Italy & Crete
or are they Migratory ?
Darned lily grogs.

Over at The best little modhouse in Ohio
Works in CMBO and CMBB too. For CMAK, it will only show up in Italy and Crete.
It's much wetter than the stock marsh, and even comes with lily pads and a few dead branches here and there.
I tried to make the water look shallower towards the coastal areas, and deeper towards the middle.
Thanks to Juju again for his usual helpful comments and testing.

Just beautiful Mikey. I think a lot of people are going to be using Hetzers after they get this mod.

Road mods are a real pain to make, and Juju did a great job with this one. It was worth the wait when you put this kind of quality into it.
Like that dirt on the edges.
Another addon for the *ModSlutSmack* small arms pack: FG-42
