Speaking as someone who had done his fair share of church textures in the past, that is really phenomenal.
Thanks MikeyD, that means a lot coming from you.

Looks great, now where is it
Thanks. I uploaded it yesterday, so hopefully soon.
-
Stunning work! Really looks great and for Christmas as well.
Comes with a pipe organ sound mod?
Yep, and a hunchback for the bell tower.
-
It should be available before Christmas, unless the world ends today. It's only one church, I'm not going to be doing all of them, one more at the most. It's higher-res than the stock ones and is completely from scratch. And now for the preview:
-
Beautiful work again Juju, a true work of art.
I see our resident "1 star" General is still voting like The Grinch.
-
There you go again Juju, improving on perfection. Outstanding work!
-
Thanks for the nice comments. The barns are now available at the repository and at CMMODS.
-
No problem Juju. I've sent you a pm.
Looking forward to Tanks mod a lot
I just uploaded it to the repository, so you shouldn't have to wait too long.

Looks very nice, but: in the 2nd picture, aren't windows too low?
Nothing I can do about that, all the window and door sizes, shapes and positions are fixed. Removing the bases does drop them a little bit, but that's a worthy tradeoff in my opinion.

... and the smaller barns:

Coming to a warehouse and repository near you soon. 8 brand new, from scratch barns, replacing all the barns that come with the game. Just like my previously released CM:BN buildings, these barns have the bases removed, so foliage can grow up the sides naturally.
Once again, I'd like to thank Juju for all his hard work, testing, suggesting and even the bicycle that can be seen in one of the windows. (2nd pic down)
Here's a link to my Photobucket album, which has 28 pics to view:

A slideshow is not available on the new Photobucket beta, I hope you don't mind me putting up a bunch of pics here.
These are the large, 2-story barns...

It's probably some girl who has a crush on him but is too shy to say. Girls can often appear hostile in thoise situations. If only Valentine's day was closer, she could send a card!
Well it's about time, that's why I got into modding in the first place.

Ah...
I didn't realize that one only needs to unzip rar #1. The problem is when I unzipped rar #2.
I did get it CMMODS version as well, so probably I have all the files ok. But, just in case I tried unzipping both rars from the BF d/l.
Just to check, exactly how many bmp files should be in the buildings mod folder once unzipped? I have 134.
Yep, 134 is correct.
-
I have tried it a couple of times, but when I open the 2nd file rar folder and try to copy the files into the first unzipped folder, I still get the error message "data error... ...\building004-floor (01)bmp" file is broken", and the windows are frozen.
Is there a very specific series of steps one needs to follow rather than simple intuition?
The easiest way would be to download the mod from CMMODS, because it's in one piece over there, I was forced to split it into 2 pieces here.
If you are determined to go with the 2 parts you have already downloaded, only extract from the 1st rar. If you have created a 2nd file rar folder, you did it wrong. Both rars need to be in the same folder, extracting from the 1st rar will automatically take what it needs from the 2nd rar, and will automatically put the entire contents of the mod into a single folder.

Question for Tank' a Lot?
Have D/L your buildings Mod they Look great.
I was running a Quick Battle with your new buildings installed.
And I notice something when I toggle the Alt-J Toggle Show objectives.
I don't see any change in the color below on a flyover of my small battle area?
Your mod would have not changed this would it?
Thank's for any feedback on this
Zane
Thanks Zane. I can't imagine how buildings could cause that problem. It looks normal on my end.
-
Thanks Tanks. One question, my computer is quite elderly, will the mod cause a significant performance hit?
It won't cause any performance hit at all. I used the same resolution as the stock textures. Actually, a few were made smaller.
-
Thanks guys. I've just about finished 5 of the 8 barns, the last 3 will take some time though. No plans on doing anything after that... except maybe actually playing the game.
-
Thanks for all the nice comments, it really helps make all the effort worthwhile.

"Part 1 seems to have bmps for buildings 000, 001, 002, 003, 004, 005, 007 and 008.
Part 2 has bmps for buildings 004, 005, 007, 008."
Do we have to select .bmp's or simply let em copy over themselves as they are identical?
Awesome job btw. Thanks...
Don't worry about part 2, just extract everything from part 1, it will automatically get what it needs from part 2. These are not independent files, so only one extraction is needed... or do as GreenAsJade said.
-
Many thanks, downloaded fine, excellent job.
Thank you.
They're up at cmmods now, one piece for easier extraction.
-

-
I'm also uploading them to cmmods, which allows me to use one big .rar file. For those having trouble dealing with multi-part archives, you can try in a little while over there.
-
Thanks it looks great.
Query/question : in the showcase, in the first 2 rows, the first building on the left appears to have no interior wall pattern - the interior wall looks like the outside.
Yeah, I had to use an alpha channel on the entire floor BMP to get rid of the base on those two. Those buildings don't seem to have a separate interior texture, it must be part of the floor BMP. I might play around with that at some point, in case I need to make a version 2 with fixes.

Thank you Zane. I don't even have 2.0 yet, so it was made without it. Juju tested it with 2.0 and there weren't any issues.
