Hey Mord,
Is the mod designed for CMBO? Most BMP numbers have been changed for CMBB.

Thanks.Originally posted by ParaBellum:Very, very nice!
I'll almost feel guilty using heavy arty on these beautiful buildings from now on.
Just imagine Master Goodale is inside. The guilt should just dissapear.

Three brand new shacks ready for action, damaged versions too. Winter versions should be available very soon.
Download at http://www.cmmods.com/
Thanks to Juju for testing, suggestions and supplying some of the textures.

Thanks.Originally posted by Rommel22:WOW, awesome for again tanks a lot.
Can't wait. Are you working on any other building other than the peasent shacks?
No. Just the shacks. I don't know enough about Russian houses, and these three are taking a long time. I've had to come up with the regular versions, the damaged versions, winter versions, and winter damaged versions.

I'm only doing the peasant shacks, but the summer versions are done. I'm currently working on the winter versions right now. Maybe next week.Originally posted by Agua:Woohoo! How far off?

Nice lookin' fence Juju, and there's also a winter version. One less mod for me to do. Thanks.

FTP stands for file transfer protocol. Probably doesn't help much.
You should be able to click on the link to the ftp site, and download the mods from there. That ftp site is where all the mods are actually stored, even the ones that CM Outpost says are on Combat Mission HQ.

Thanks for the comments everybody, and for that website Rex. I'll be sure to use some of those posters.Originally posted by Rex_Bellator:Tanks a Lot, I've recently found a great Russian website which contains dozens of Russian and German WW2 propaganda posters and thought you might like a link (here).
Those buildings look fantastic, and I thought the link might be a useful resource to you if you ever need some posters for the city types.
For everyone else, it really is worth a visit as it takes you right back to the period. Fascinating.

Here's another preview of the shacks I'm working on. I just started working on the wooden one.

Thanks Jack. It's a mod that I just made. I'd like to do the other two peasant shacks before I release it.Originally posted by Jack Carr:Tanks A Lot,
The picture of the Russian Isba that you posted to this thread, is that an existing mod?
If so where can I get it because its great!
Hope to see a reply soon. This will make my CMBB landscape even that much better. Thanks.

Thanks Soddball, it took long enough to make.Originally posted by Soddball:Tanks a Lot, that is a superb piece of work.
I'm just planning on doing the peasant shacks right now, and yes, some will be wooden.

Something like this?Originally posted by JaegerMeister:I'm still waiting for someone to mod the peasant 'isbas'..the straw roofed huts that formed the majority of Russian villages in the Ukraine and southern Russia!..be nice and realistic looking with some muddy tracks and poor villages to fight over.

Juju's done it again. Another beauty. Thanks for completing the bridge set.

I haven't installed the mod, and I don't have those wav files either.Originally posted by Shatter:I noticed in the Father of none sound mod that there are wav numbered 00000443 & 00000444, but my wave folder has no such waves with these numbers. I believe the wav files are for the MG42.
Can somebody check and see if they have these wav files.
Now if you have installed the Father of none sound mod, then you'll probably have over looked the fact. So only tell me if you have not installed this mod.

Rough is 640.bmp
Rocky terrain uses doodads 2130.bmp and 2131.bmp

They really look good. The most detailed faces I've seen yet. The only thing I might suggest is a little shadowing on the face right below the helmet. Are you planning on doing a face mod for CMBB?

Thanks MFOS, glad I could help.Originally posted by MFOS:Hey Tanks A Lot,
Thanks for the help with the tree situation.
I got it sorted out now, and it looks s-w-e-e-t!!
All I can say is stunning !
'nuff said.
Peace,

Mdmp2 sounds like Mad Dog mod pack 2, which was made for CMBO, and might explain why it's not showing up in CMBB.

Thanks Rob.Originally posted by Rob Murray:I've got the LO-RES version of all your CMBB tree mods ( they're all great - thank you ). I figured that I should get the lower resolution ones as they may help to improve scrolling & frame rate in heavily wooded areas. I'm running the game in 800x600 at 85MHz ( I had tried it at 1024x768 but I was getting problems with the above mentioned forested areas & scrolling ). I've also reduced the visible horizon in these areas. Will these measures help much? I've got a P4 2.0GHz, 64 MB Nvidia Geforce 4 MX 420 card. I know that this isn't the Tech Support forum but I felt that this is related to the topic: trees & tree bases.
The low-res versions will help a little.(that's why I made them). Low-res grass mods should help too. I don't notice much difference in quality between high and low-res grass anyway. It looks like you have a pretty powerful system, (faster than mine) so you shouldn't have to sacrifice too much detail. Reducing the amount of trees "shift T" helps quite a bit in heavily wooded areas.

Thanks Mord, welcome back.Originally posted by Mord:Hi Ed. Nice work buddy! Are there winter textures for the pine trees? I haven't noticed any snow covered pines in the game, or found any mods. Anyone know?
Again great work Ed. You have definately found your forte I think.
Mord
There are snow covered pines that come with the game, as well as the ones in my winter tree mod at http://www.cmmods.com/
I think the temperature has to be frozen or extreme cold before those trees show up.

Sorry I wasn't clear. (modding does that to me sometimes).Originally posted by MFOS:Hello. (Wow ... Nice to meet ya)
Uhmm ... I have 8 tree mods by you. You mention 2.
Fall scattered tree and tree bases (2)
CMBB tree (1)
summer scattered tree and bases(2)
winter scattered trees and bases (2)
Winter trees (1)
If the 2 you are talking about are the CMBB tree and Winter Trees ... do I need the bases also or are they imncluded.
Where the others primarily for BO?
Thanks and sorry to be a pest. I am just very curious.
MFOS - Mouth Full of spiders
I did mean CMBB trees and Winter Trees are the actual trees. All the tree bases and scattered tree mods are the ground underneath the trees. They are not included with the tree mods, but you've already downloaded them separately. You don't have to use them all together. Use whatever ones you like. They were designed for CMBB, but some of them will work in CMBO. Hope that helps.

Thanks. Glad you like my work.Originally posted by MFOS:I have decided I really like JUJU's and Tanks A Lot's work, especially the terrain and buildings, but the tree in particular are a b it confusing, can anyone shed a little light on the differences and when to use them (Do I have to swap them out each time depending on the season?)
MFOS - Mouth Full of Spiders
My two tree mods replace all the trees used in the game. You don't need to swap anything out, they know when to show up.

I thought I'd show before and after screenshots this time.
Stock winter tree bases.
New winter tree bases.
Stock winter scattered tree bases.
