What`s your favourite Russian tank?
gunnergoz replied to Tacitus's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Sounds like someone needs to read the old Bolo Sci-fi novellas and get some jollies... -
I understand you perfectly well, Michael, I always enjoy starting my own... (BTW, Do you recall "the Nazi glue gun" rumor that Yossarian went nuts over in Catch-22? Classic!)
-
You've already got Sturmtigers, FCOL, what next, neutron bombs? Just aim 5-6 sturmtigers at a hex and you should be able to replicate Hiroshima nicely.

MCH: Here's a quote from Kwazydog on 9/21: "Guys, currently several vehicles are represented by similar models. We will be updating as many as possible though (not all, but many), so this should keep most people happy . It was either do this which will add to the tactical scope of the game or remove them altoghther, which I for one really didnt want to do. There is already over half dozen ready for the first patch which you guys should see in a week or so. Dan" So it looks like there is a patch in the works all right. I think that a couple of brief recent posts from Charles allude to fixes in the works over graphics and crew abandonment of vehicles. Now if I can just get my hands on the game...

And nicely done, too, we might add. Not to mention prompt!

Well, what did you expect? We always knew that the Communist economy was built on nothing solid...must be the same with their factory buildings! -
Do you actually think any KV-2's made it into the winter months? Optimist!
-
Damn New Englanders...I'll bet it was delivered on ponyback, too. I'll probably get it when the *&^%@$#% Tijuana Trolly brings it by.

OHBOY, I just checked my online accounts and discoved that I've been billed for the game! Whooopie! (Looks. Mailbox is still empty.) Spent all my money on 'er and still no treat. Hmmmm, sounds suspiciously like my bachelor days, revisited. -
I'm glad, really. If we got into the "German Exercises in Futility and Wasted Resources" line of AFV's, the game would have never been ready.

The T-72 in the Javelin test was reportedly combat loaded with full ammo and fuel, left running. That's what I heard, at least. Heckuva way to go to your maker... -

gunnergoz replied to gunnergoz's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
I recall a recent excavation of an intact IS-2, IIRC in the Baltics, but can't now find the URL. For now, check this site out, gang: http://www.lerenfort.fsnet.co.uk/index.html It's not immediately obvious, the button is the "come and see the relics" graphic. Neat stuff! -
Wow BFC THANKS from CANADA! YOU ROCK!!!

The plainclothes investigators of the different service criminal investigation offices are called "agents." They may or may not be military personnel. If they are military, they can conceal their rank or assume a false one for case purposes to spoof suspects. -

I've heard of the Czech OT version being modified back to WW2 German standards as film props. -
Does the new Tank Penetration Model go too far ?
gunnergoz replied to Fly Pusher's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Consider the possibility that, if one leaves the striken tank, one has an excellent possibility of being gunned down by MG fire. If you stay put, you might be able to play dead and get out later. Besides, we haven't played the full game yet FCOL. -
