quote:
Originally posted by Mikhael: Thank you fox Those may not be the mods I'm looking for, but I KNOW some of the skies in those pics are MOD'd, not just cause they look so incredibly better then anything CM comes with, but also because I've heard people talk about them before. So n'ah!!

One or two are from the sky mod at Kump's site. There is also a mine sign mod there too. Hanging @ 3-D Graphics
Shadow 1st Hussars replied to cjlawn's topic in Combat Mission - Tech Support

quote:
Originally posted by cjlawn: Hey. I just got CM, but am unable to get up and running. I have an iMac (266 /160RAM) and after I get through the scenario/briefing screens, I get a message like "3-D Graphics Loading" or something (background of many national flags), which remains on the screen for minutes, I mean minutes. I've not let it go for an hour, but have just force quitted. Is there some video hardware that I need to run CM that I didn't know about? Should I ride out the storm and wait out the loading? Many thanks in advance for your advice.

That happened to me a few times on my G4. DO NOT FORCE QUIT THEN PLAY AGAIN BEFORE YOU RESART! The game will not function properly. This will sometimes happen if you are loading a large or huge map with alot of turns and alot of different types of vehicles. This can also happen if you are loading a large or huge map with DD's hig res grass ------------------ No bastard has ever won a war by dying for his country. time limit ruins the games reality
Shadow 1st Hussars replied to dog6880's topic in Combat Mission Archive #3 (2001)
The time limit improves gmae play. In CC, you could be moving and directing your troops at the top of the map while all your troops at the bottom of the map are being chopped to little teensy bits from MG42 and mortar fire. ------------------ No bastard has ever won a war by dying for his country. I keep getting an error type 12 when i try to open the new beta. This never happened on v1.05 and has only started recently on my mac. I have all the newest drivers, and have incrased the amount of memory allocated to CM. G4 400 64MB Ram ------------------ No bastard has ever won a war by dying for his country. Just grab someone's gun mod (there is a good one at cmhq, that's the one i use) and renumber the BAR to the Tomson(sp) bmp #. confused? I sure am.
