IMO the below house rules (hard cat rules) developed by Bil & IanL are very useful.  This is what I use.  I sometimes add my own modifications to the rules when I want to test a new idea.   Hard Cat Rules v2 is a good place to start.

I also made a CMRT scenario (mini-campaign) Alarmeinheiten that features runners assigned to each infantry platoon to facilitate C2 when using Hard Cat Rules v2.

Even if the numbers are half that, how long can the Russians remain combat effective? Even the half number is more than 20,000 casualties out of a force of less than 200,000. Anybody got any info on the Russians moving up fresh forces.

    Steve's tipping point is approaching.

    Rapidly, I hope.

  3. As someone who deals with the Red Cross on a professional basis, there is no doubt that they do a lot of good, but a tremendous amount of the money the collect goes to administrative costs and salaries.

Might I suggest Samaritan's Purse, which puts the money to the best possible use. They're located here.

The one thing we'd do if we had to do CMBS all over again is lower the Experience and Morale values significantly.  Fortunately, that's something you guys can manipulate directly without us lifting a figure.  Except for Campaigns, but we're not going to touch those with a 10' pole.

This is the key and as @akd mentioned, once they have a lot of evidence to sift through about ammo, etc., they can see about changes in that.
