  1. Yep I had a source that mentioned (in three sentences only) a confrontation between what I thought might be German rail troops and a French Reconnaissance unit on 19 May
  2. I would suspect so, I would think St. Cyr wouold have have done a study of it and all French battles of WWII. We may need to find someone now in the French Army who would have access to the materials used to train army officers. I presume the material exists but in book form and in French
  3. didn't seem to be working when I tried it, will try later
  4. Were the French(Belgian) and German rail systems compatible or did rolling stock have to be converted? What was the German name for their railroad repair/conversion units?
  5. I have it on my 'to do' list with the note, "Pioux's cavalry Corps and Hoepner's XVI Panzer Corps meet in Northern Belgium." Also noted heavy German airpower use and wide range of tanks on both sides. Probably use as a basis for 2-3 smaller scenarios, to big overall for one CMAK (IMHO). Unfortunately I don't have a detailed source for it as yet. I recommend you go for it!
  6. First The rivers in Morthern France...characteristics? broad, swift, narrow, fordable??? Second French tank attack tactics (De Gaulle in this case at Montcornet) how would a French tank unit attack, what frontage and what formation? Thanks
  7. er, beer? how about sand, we have lots of sand here
  8. Hey Andreas found it on the Internet, 10th Panzers - would you care to hazard a estimate of their decline in combat power after 7 days of war? Percentage wise of course! The units as far as I can tell were the 10th Panzer Aufklarung Bn(?) 90th Panzer Aufklarung Bn 666 Pioneer Bn 56 Flak Bn picked that out of french source so I'm not absolutely sure of what the first unit actually is?
  9. well I guess I could but then I'd have to hold your reponsible for holding up my 1940 series! : ]
  10. Do any of the Grogs out there have a source with a diagram or map of this action? This was DeGaulle's attack against the German left flank against units of the XIX corps (?) Any details on the German unit attacked?
  11. Additional point If we are going to be creating a number of Greek scenarios may I suggest that we add an identifier to the scenario name, ie we are using SCW for Spanish Civil War, 1940 for the early war battles may I suggest we begin to label Greek scenarios with 'GK'. i.e. Psoli Pass GK

  15. Hello Gurra I can recommended: Small Battles, Objectives June 43 Pershotraveneve Ridge May 43 PanzerBlitz Situation #4 and #6, June 44 Small Battles, a Small Melee Oct 44 Depends on what you consider 'middle sized' the PanzerBlitz situations may be to big for what you are looking for.
  16. Very, very nice There is one existing Greece scenario I know of, Small Battles, Epirus. There may be more.
  17. thanks I have down loaded it. AT SOME POINT I'll get to those old CMBO scenarios....
  18. Hello j2d Please send a message to Admiral Keth to check on that bad link and I'll send the scenario to you by email. No they are not in any order. Three more 1940s were at the completion phrase just before I went on vacation. They will be up in a day or so.
  19. Hey great I had intended to convert a few of those, that will make it a lot easier. I'll have to figure out how it works in the next few dsys. Where can pyewacket's genius software be found?
  20. I'm back Sorry about that j2d, I found that for some battles I have to switch around due to equipment needs. In the next AIW, the Egyptians are Brits and Israelis Germans! Oh ended up with four excellent books on AIW, so more scenarios will be coming out. Also bought a few more books on Burma with a really detailed book on the battles along the Tiddim toad between the Japanese 33rd Division and British 17th. Anything happened of note since early July, in regards to CM?
  21. Howdy Rupert and j2d, before I disappear into the wilds of high country Aspen for a week. Rupert I don't have may CM stuff with me but I do recall gathering up some scenario data for a battle called the "admin box". I believe it was part of the Kohima struggle. The small battles, Burma relief scenario is a composite of a number of smaller action dealing with Kohima. Philippines, I bought the official US army history of that early campaign and am looking at some of the Stuart vs Japanese tank actions during the retreat to Bataan. If'd you like to co-author a scenario dig up the details and sent them to me AFTER August 15th. Hey j2d, found a number of books on 1948/1956 AIWs, some DEI (Dutch East Indies) materials. Still hoping to do the Australian stand on Amboina. Concept idea, how about a small PTO campaign set in 1942 with two base areas and a common objective island with invasion possibilities for both? Kinda of an expanded version of "East of Elba"? But with both sides invading an island held by each side (Japanese forward seaplane base and an Australian island HQ and patrol base), a rough version of Guadalcanal, with more tanks.
  22. Hi Rupert, I have a number of PTOs in the works and when I get back they should start coming out in mid-late August. They will probably not be that large however. The first PTO out will probably be the Japanese airborne invasion of Sumatra. back to vacation
  23. fog works well, I used that and high wind in the Mishmish scenario to (kinda) simulate a sand storm
