Since Mr "I am the founder of the Wankers fan club" Elvis has not responded to my challenge... Are there any other Knigglets (or their lowly squires) who are in desperate need of a victory to add to their collection? If so, send me a setup of any type. I could use another couple of games.

Yeah, I still watch it
When I feel lazy I just like to let it run it's course while I prepare myself. Of course, if I'm in a hurry, I hit a key to go to the selection screen

I have a very minor (although kind of irritating) problem.
When the intro movie plays, the sound plays at a slower pace than the movie. I can play the movie outside the game with the Quicktime player and it runs fine. It's just when it plays at the beginning of the game that it is slow. Any ideas about why this is?
I can live with it, but was just curious as to the cause.

Might also be helpful to use the hotkey for 'all target/move paths' and see if someone has a firing line from unit to unit. That's how I've figured out how some units I see got that way.

BTS has not released any screenshots for CM2 as of yet. As for ANY news of CM2, this forum is the place to watch

For whatever it's worth... the M1917 HMG is only available in the game during 1944, along with the M1919 and M2 .50 cal. Any battle/scenario set in '45 removes it. Only choices then are the M1919, and the M2.
(just did a check through the scenario editor for it)

Well, without 1.12, you will miss out on playing a lot of people via PBEM or TCP/IP.

The Greyhound never saw what killed it.
The Sherman never saw the infantry...
The Stug (if that's truly what it is <g>) was never positively seen except as a generic tank sound contact.
In short... I'm doomed.

The ASL2CM website closed down due to lack of time on the part of its webmaster.
Unfortunately there is no cut and paste function in the editor. All you can do is to merge them by hand (ie creating the entire map in the editor).
Sorry. We hope something like that will be in CM2 though.

Well David Aitken is giving me a Cesspool inaugural whipping, even though there is a 'theoretical' possibility I can make a comeback (yea, right, whatever).
On the plus side, I'm holding the upper hand over hamster-kin Harpooner.
If other Cesspool regulars care to add to my inaugural whipping party, send me a setup.

If you host CM mods, be sure to have a good bandwidth. As others might be able to tell you, you'll get a load of people downloading mods, and using up a LOT of bandwidth.

I'd love to give it a try Abbott. I used to play the original SL series constantly when I was back in college. Thought it was the best board wargame I had ever played.

Here's a weak attempt to start a new Cess thread. I thought I would do this in homage <coughs> to Iskander's bit of drivel :cool:
As a short remark to the upcoming challenges between Harpooner and Company, we'll see if his luck can be any different from the battle I've got going with him. Even though he's blowing the snot out of a recon squad, I took great pleasure in smothering his AC with a load of mortars, and then plugging his MkIV with my Sherman after it bugged out.

Check to see where the Cm.exe file points to. It should be loading from the directory on your hard drive (default DIR being C:\Program Files\CMBO).
