The normal postman delivers it. Depending on where you are, it usually takes anywhere from one to three weeks or so. If you live in the US, then approxmiately a week, give or take. Overseas can vary. I ordered mine just before the first sellout last summer, and received it in about 5 or 6 days.

I may be wrong, but didn't the Russians attempt an amphib assault somewhere on the Black Sea, and get pushed back? I seem to recall reading something about it a long time ago, and noticed that they used Lend-Lease Shermans and M3 Lees (or Grants) for armor support. Was kind of early I think... 1942 maybe, 43 at the latest.

I played a QB once, where for over 5 turns I could hear and see German 20mm shells bouncing off one of my tanks, but I could never see what was doing the shooting. Eventually I found out it was a 20mm Flak sitting inside a treeline. Small guns are not easy to spot when in cover, especially if the target tank is buttoned.
-
Haven't seen it either. I routinely shell infantry occupied buildings with M7 Priests, and have yet to see a smoke shell used.

No such things. Those are all hard-coded into the game and cannot be modded.
Do a Search <g>. Those have been asked for before.

They will fire their PF at infantry that is dug in. I've had PF's fired at infantry and guns in foxholes. I think it's kind of a waste to fire a PF at infantry in the open, especially when the squad's inherent firepower is much more powerful. I see them as hanging on to the PF for use against a 'hard' target.
As an example... I doubt you would see a modern infantry squad use its LAW rocket (or equivalent disposable AT weapon) against an infantry target when the possibility of an armored target could appear. I 'could' see them using it against a bunker, fortified position, or if even against a mass infantry assault.
Just my 2 cents.

check this out for cooling guidelines for Athlon motherboards and processors. Very informative. Select the cooling guidelines link.

Also... try to get a power supply with a bottom intake fan if it doesn't have one already. Those work a heck of lot better dispersing heat from inside the case than a typical pw that just has intake slots.

That system should work like a well-oiled machine for CM and beyond. AT least for a while anyway.
I'm using a Abit KT133 mobo
1 gz T-bird
512mb PC133 RAM
a simple Riva TNT2 video card (could be better I know, but it was the best I could afford at the time)
50GB hard drive space (over 2 drives)
You definitely have the video and CPU to make CM run like a dream.
Be sure though to maximize your cooling. Get a case with space for several fans and lots of room for air circulation. Maybe even a fan for the video card itself.

I'm really hoping we see the wheeled carriage for the Dshk modeled in CM2.

I had that problem before I upgraded my video card. My old one was only a 4mb card. I could not preview any maps in the editor without getting the white screen. If this is the case, then the only fix is to upgrade to at least 8mb, and preferably more (I upgraded to a 32mb card, and have no problems anymore).
Also, with the 4mb card, I could not get any color variations in target/command/move lines. All I could get is a light blue line, no matter what command I gave.

I've been using a Logitech Trackball for the past 4 or 5 years. I use a wristpad to support my wrist though. The combination has worked really well.

When mired, the Hetzer cannot turn to engage, so the crew probably thought it was only a matter of time before a round penetrated, so they decided to save their lives before that happened.

IIRC, BTS has said that in CM2, the game parameters of a QB will be made visible to the opponent before unit selection.

Well, .CMC means it is an Operation. Did you look under those for it?

At last check there were currently several models of .50 cal sniper rifle in use by the United States armed forces...
Barrett M82 (magazine-fed semi-auto), the RAI 500 (a single-shot bolt-action), and the McMillan M87 (single-shot bolt-action).
All are designated as "Anti-Material Rifles", meant to be used against light vehicles, equipment, and aircraft on the ground. Of course, they would be used against personnel when necessary.

I usually select the vehicle, then hit TAB to get the view lock, then go down to level 1 or 2. From there it's easy to see the passenger.
-
I'll nominate Kitty for the Unit Accessory Modder category (I think this would be the right one), for her 3-d hamster faces, which are a lot of fun to see in the game.

As far as I can tell, whenever you select a unit and hit TAB, it places you looking at the vehicles field of fire. Therefore you would be looking rearward on a German flak ht, or the early mortar ht. That right there is a giveaway if you have not fully ID'd the vehicle. Same with the Archer, you would end up looking to the rear.

Be careful using any of the programs like those Tanks A Lot mentioned, especially if you are on a cable modem. Some of them give an incorrect IP number. I've used that site, and another, and they both give me an IP number that do not match what I actually have via my cable ISP.
-
IIRC, it's the replacement faces that appear next to the unit display/taskbar at the bottom of the screen. If it's the one I'm thinking of, it has different pictures from a variety of war movies.

T-bird 1 Ghz
Abit KT7A mobo with 512mb pc133 RAM
Geforce 2 32mb video
SB Live sound
48x cd-rom
17" monitor
Win98, DX 8.0
CM runs great on it. Haven't had any real slowdowns (although Huge battle/maps take about a minute, minute and a half to crunch the numbers).

The mechanics and action of the M60 are based on the MG42, but the outer casing has been changed of course. That's why they don't look exactly alike.
The MG3 used by the Bundeswehr (as Michael Emrys said) is the near carbon-copy of the MG42.

Yep, I told ya that your new system would run CM like a dream. Nice isn't it?![:D](//content.invisioncic.com/r254563/emoticons/default_biggrin.png)
