Ok, and when Hubert changes it that so that tech per level isn't so important, I'm sure some will be back to say, "Tech has no effect, I just build umpteen Corps & Armies & Tanks instead. Fix or do sumfink!" On a side note, I don't really like the caps at the current level either, but I'm willing to give them a chance for awhile before I open up the editor. Guess all I'm saying is be careful what you ask for.

Australia hijacks the Peng Challenge Thread...yet again!!

Well, you did have a glass of hard stuff in the other hand to get the taste out of your mouth. -
Er, how many games have you played? And to what date? Would like to point out that many people are saying, "X is broken because of blah, blah blah. I had to resign the game in '42 because my opponent had blah, blah, blah". Play them out to the end, several times, then tell me it's broke. Lot of quitters out there.

Terif - Turkish Question
Lars replied to Jollyguy's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
It does when you consider you get five or six Corps and a AF. Plus, your German stuff is off doing something more worthwhile, like whacking Russians. Perhaps, if it's a real problem, Istanbul should be upgraded to a Fortress like Sevastopol. Because, one, it was, and a much better one to boot, and two, crossing the Straits would be a biatch even today. -

Terif - Turkish Question
Lars replied to Jollyguy's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Why? Trains work the same pretty much everywhere. btw, there is a cost to operational movement in readiness, morale and of course, the mpp. Consider the abstraction casualties and no more problem. -
Terif - Turkish Question
Lars replied to Jollyguy's topic in Strategic Command 2 Blitzkrieg and Weapons and Warfare
Granting free passage is usually viewed dimly by the other side and is no guarentee a strong message won't shortly follow. So I wouldn't say it's broke, just the results of taking the bribe are fixed. Eh, they're playing ladder games. -

You can get Turkey for next to nothing with diplo. Why bother invading? -

Slogging westward through the mud... -
Swedish CA does the same in the north. Absolutely not worth invading Sweden though. Just ticks everybody off. As for a packed England, experienced troops go through those AF, Bombers and anything else in their way like nothing. When you hit it, you have two German BB, three CA and the Swede CA bombarding anything on the coastline. Plus the Italian, Swede, Turk, Romanian and the three German AF. It's really a piece of cake. Think I had the Germans pulling in 770 mpp there at the end.

Just another reason why the World Cup sucks. -
Well, with all the bitchin about Spain, I tried something else. Poured money into Sweden first, and early. What the hey, they're already 20% on your side. Then Turkey. Add up all them mpps. Sweden garrisons Norway after the German invasion, and with a AF to boot, which lets the Kriegsmarine rule the North Sea and releases three teched up German Corps for Russia. Italy sits on it's butt and builds up to take Yugo and Greece, then finally Egypt. By the time Turkey comes in, it's all over but the shouting really. But the extra mpps are nice. You can spread the techs wherever you like. I went Production and Industrial heavily, then one or two in all the rest. AA 2 was nice to cover my rear in France. Bomb all you want Englander! Mwuhahaha….

Operation Sealion Variant

Not true. A HQ is a valid source of supply all by itself. Not a great one, mind you... -

Beckham, yes. Only because I've seen the name pop up on news sites. Some scandal or other and couldn't be bothered to read it, as that would mean I care. The other guy, no. Just putting the wind up your skirts. -

Poland falls, Hitler moves west. In the mud. On the high seas, had a slight U-boat accident. Bumped into a CA blocking the North Sea. Gotta start remembering that waypoints button. -
