RoW II: The Boots & Tracks Brawl (Part IV)
Bertram replied to Treeburst155's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Getting on nicely. Two games running, the one with Kettler (Head for the Hills, I like that one) moving fast. The other goes slower, Fire on the Mountains is to big in my opinion (and in the opinion of my comp). Besides it really sucks to be French. Bertram -
CM:BO is available in stores in Europe only (and not at much shops at that, just noticed it once in the Netherlands) in the rest of the world you will have to order it online. CM:BB will be available in september (20th), same places I guess. Bertram

RoW II: The Boots & Tracks Brawl (Part IV)

The result of the battle for St Mere Eglise between Soddball and me is send to Treeburst. For reasons of security I can tell anything else then that he ran out of ammo at about the same time I ran out of men. Bertram -

As I haven't recieved it I guess this is an other failure.... Receiving other turns ok, so it must be something on your side John. Just to be sure, here is my e-mail adress again: BORedmeijer@home.nl Be sure to use ij instewad of y if you copy it manually... Bertram -
Got the same problem just a few weeks ago, a good PIAT (might have been broken before)in the woods, line of sight, targetted a Stug, and didn't fire for several turns. Just kept reloading. After 5 minutes the Stug rolled away, and an other PIAT team killed it, from about the same position (they didn't have a LOS before). Very strange, very frustrating. Bertram

Sorry boys, I have been away. I am to busy right now to join, busy at work and busy with CM (have to finish several 100minutes battles and am participating in ROW2). I was not aware I had enrolled by default (thanks anyway Mikko, I like to hear I am appreciated ). I hope to be able to join next time. Bertram replied to THumpre's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)

RoW II Boots and Tracks Brawl part tres....
Bertram replied to THumpre's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Hi John, Being swamped in games is not the problem, being swamped in work is.... Right now I can only play in the weekends, so starting might actually be a good idea. Bertram -

Bertram replied to Treeburst155's topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)
Dorosh did that to me to, but at some moment he got stalled. Did my reception committe in the woods his soldiers charged so brave in put him off? Michael, where is the turn? Soddball, you lazy sodd, get my turn back instead of complaining. I looked at the files, and I recon they lounge longer at your comp then at mine. I returned all files now, I checked the ones I did not process today, and the last ones I have are all for my opponents. So if you think I own you a turn, please resend. Bertram -

I seem not to have gotten that one Soddball (the previous one I mean). I got this one, and the answer is on it's way. Bertram -

Got 4 out of 5 running, and am very busy. Participating in 2 other tournaments, that I thought would have finished by now. But both almost died, and then just now revived. Besides that I am busy in RL to, so the turns might come back a bit slow occasionally. Bertram -

The road bridge now is a four lane (at least, might be six now) concrete one, no resemblance at all. For the film they had to use an other bridge that looked like it (at Deventer if I remember right) for even then it had been already replaced. Bertram -

Coming along nice against BigAll (Axis W, Arch Enemies). We are down to the last turns, men, tanks and bullets, with the advantage swinging wildly from one to the other. No word (or file) yet from Axis X or Z. Steve (Axis Y, Recogne Recount) hasn't send a turn for some days, but we are about halfway if I remember correct. Speaking about flags, I was a bit upset to notice (in the warmap) that the Belgiums had overrun the Netherlands. If there had been fighting sure it would have gone the other way? (it took us just ten days to trounce them pretty good in 1839 ) Bertram [ May 08, 2002, 03:09 AM: Message edited by: Bertram ] -
