quote:
Originally posted by Big Time Software: Thanks GhostOne! Nice to hear your thoughts, even if Bullethead is trying to find some GPS info for your exact location (he is only kidding ). Scott, you are correct. I also suspect that GhostOne was on the lucky side of Priority Mail. Sometimes they deliver in ONE day and not 2-5 We sent a carefully coordinated bunch of press releases when we launched Battlefront.com last year and one guy down in the Carolinas (I think) received his package one day before we had planned on Since GhostOne apparently in New Hampshire, it is a good bet this happened. Steve

Quick delivery to the Carolinas,eh. I might get mine sooner than expected. -

I'm sure your message lifted the hearts of tose who are still waiting. They now know there is a light at the end of the tunnel and CM is actually on its way. -

quote:
Originally posted by Germanboy: I would like to thank Moon, Cyberfox and Magnus of Appui Feu for putting up the scenarios, the detailed descriptions and maps on their websites. I really look forward to playing all of these. They look great. Now the wait until RoyalMail Parcelfarce delivers will be even harder. Thanks guys, keep up the good work.

Kudos to them all...especially as they only did it for their love of the game.

Was there a Friday shipping progress update?
CanuckinDixie replied to Carentan's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)

quote:
Originally posted by Carentan: OK, so I'll 'fess up... my life DOES in fact revolve around the arrival of CM these days, and I 've read Steve's posts each night this week eagerly. Did he update us last night, and I just missed it? I guess I just figure Friday was key since the "bulk" was supposed to be shipping. Joe

I didnt see any postings but I did get an e-mail update from BTS -

quote:
Originally posted by Kevin Peltz: With the atrocious federal mail service here in BC, I will probably be the last person on the PLANET to get the game. Or , maybe my brother will be, as he only lives up the road a bit. I am not even going to start worrying about it until Canada Day at least...

Canada Day? whatever happened to Dominion Day?...Oh that right...the Trudeau Liberals

quote:
Originally posted by CrapGame: Just finished driving like a MadMatt, I mean Madman through NYC metro area traffic to get home. Phooey! Nuthin. Pre-ordered in early September, so I was hoping for the best. I guess maybe tomorrow brings better news. Well, at least the old lady will be happy tonite. Manta - no worries, I thought I had written some subliminal message or something that everyone but me was laughing at and I didn't catch on to it myself. I hope someone posts tonite about how cool this game is - it will keep me going until tomorrow. So the question is, how many people are calling in sick on Monday????

Call in sick on Monday? No need. Off duty at 0730 and dont go back 'til Friday afternoon....got all week to wait and play.

Warez, Piracy and BTS
CanuckinDixie replied to sniperscope's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
As usual its those that are out to get something for nothing that make life miserable for the honest hardworking people out there. Nobody egts their hands on my CD...friends or not. -
I think 5 minutes is an awfully long time to sit helplessly by and watch your troops get slaughtered due to an unforseen move by the AI or opponant. A 2 minute turn might be a viable option though.

There wouldn't be a 180 pg manual if...
CanuckinDixie replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #4 (2002)

CM Merchandise Survey
CanuckinDixie replied to Wesreidau's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I dont think I'd want to know how many hours I've spent on playing. A CM coffe mug, shirt and ballcap would certainly help in getting the word out. -

Ok, how many of you guys are happy about CM?

I'd just need a second computer...much cheaper than a new wife...and easier to find.
