Hi Borderbill, the same reason for me, to look every day inside the forum. It´s really good to be here. But, it must be better to have the game. Ahhhhhh! I´m still waiting to get my copy. Hmmpffff! I found "my" community here - Welcome to the board. Greetings from Germany Jochen

Sorry, sorry, i didn´t want to bring up the old discussion again. To those people, who answered my posting - please, i´m not the best in english, so it´s difficult for me to express in english, what i wanted to say. I´ll do better in the future. Please calm down! It´s combat mission, not politics. But, i think i talk for the most germans, we (the germans) know what happend, and we don´t wanna have it back at all. Greetings from Germany Jochen

The last time i ordered software in US, i had to pay import taxes (Germany). It came by a courier. Jochen

I´m a realtor in Germany, Stuttgart. Once i offered an isrealic student an appartement. I ask her, how the people in israel are thinking about the germans - after all what happend in WWII. She smiled and said: "Mr. Smith, the only thing, we in israel, see about Germany in television, is when german skinheads are marching along the streets, shouting against jewish people or forigners. The only thing, the germans see about israel in Television is, when ultraortodex-jewish-people are fighting against poor palestinian people in the street. - Mr. Smith, the real live in isreal, especially in Tel-Aviv is: sitting on the beach, having a cool drink, listening to good techno-music and have love and peace. The same thing here in germany, but where, in Stuttgart, is the beach!? I think, this shows how the times are - NOW.We all have to be careful, that extremits are stopped ealry enough, not only in germany. And, anti-american thinking, is in germany not born, ´cause we lost the war, but as in the USA, by those "flower-power"-people who started in the vietnam-war to demonstrate against the society in the free world. I think, most (older) germans are very thankful to the american forces. THEY gave the starving people food, THEY build up a new infrastructure, THEY let us grow up again - so that we are in the present a free, democratic aaaaaand PEACEFUL nation. Sorry, that i posted this here. I know that BTS has closed the old discussion - but, i have to say this. Thanks to all Jochen

Questions regarding the use of German SPA units
Jochen2 replied to a topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
In June or July 1944 the legendary "Panzer-Lehr-Division" lost a lot of their Wespe and Hummel SPAs, cause they were attacked by allied ground combat troops. This was not planned, but happend. In my opinion you are right - those SPA were part of the artillery units of divisions, not part of the combat units. But, a war is, the situation happend, that they were used as "direct fire" guns against troops. The scale of CM doesn´t allow to use these units as indirect fire support units - in reality they stood several kilometers behind the lines. But i think it´s still funny, to play scenarios with the SPAs in the "Alertsituation" to use them as direct fire support, better armored as the sIGs (Infanterieguns). Greetings from Germany Jochen -
Hi Hunter, you´re right - thank you for the translation. My english is not perfect at all, but on some days it´s terrible. See ya all on the battlefield Jochen

In germany we say: "Geteiltes Leid ist halbes Leid", wich means if you can talk to somebody about your problems they will only harm you at half (i hope that nobody wants to do an exact translation). I understand Capt. Manieri, if he his 17 or 68 doen´t matter at all. It is a hard time to wait for this great game. I´m 33, and guess what my girlfriend is hearing the whole day??? "Oh my god, when does IT arrive, will IT arrive......."! So, Manieri, if you have the feeling to shout out your pain - do it! The forum was, is and will be the right place to do so (if your shouting depends on our game). Greetings from Germany Jochen

Moooooon! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!

who will get their game today?
Jochen2 replied to aka_tom_w's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
I know what Capt. Manieri is feeling. I live in Germany, i have to wait. Today i phonded again my creditcard company, they said, that nothing had been charged so faar, but that there was a "Voranfrage" (don´t know the word in english). Well, BTS has contact to my card ... Today i got an E-Mail from BTS.... Sighhh, i want it know, and i don´t believe, that it will arrive at the end of the week - not in this damned country!!!!!!!!! Capt. Manieri, ceep your head up, and if you think, that alcohol will help you - don´t drive, please, don´t drive with your tank on the streets. (hihihihihi) See you all Jochen -
If you do, as said above - it´s important, that the command unit is not hiding!!!! Jochen

No bavarian! It sounds like a american speaking german. Fürs Vaterland is yelled "Füüüürs Vaaaaterland", not "fürs Vatterland"! Beleive me! Greetings Jochen

Suddenly somethings wrong here
Jochen2 replied to Jochen2's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
A little world we are living in!!! (in times of the internet). Yes, i know Sindelfingen very well - really nice area. BTW, i played all games (CC, East-/Westfront, in the beginning ASL) and i enjoyed them all, better to say, i was every time very fanantic on them. But with CM, i got the feeling to be very close to my starting game "SL". THIS is for me like a dream comes true. I´m so happy, that this game is made, and i´m very happy to be a member of this community here - you are very kind. Thanks a lot - ceep your men together and watch those tanks! Greetings from Germany Jochen -

Yeah... perhaps it´s this time of waiting, till the postman is giving us our copy.... Yes, it´s very sad, that the "wargamers" don´t unite, in times of big companies avoiding the word "wargame"! I hope... no, i´m sure, that our "brotherhood" and good forum community will raise up again, when the first postings about the scenarios are in, and the big discussion about CM2 will start. Thanks for your answers. Greetings from Germany Jochen -

Hey, now that CM is shipped, a new "feeling" in this great forum comes up. Is the time over, that we discussed those "very important things" like our wishes, suggestions and military questions??? Has the time come, that everybody is flaming other games in endless postings about "who has said this and that about the game x"??? Oh come on, stop this now and enjoy the feeling of this great game we are all connected with. Let those, who don´t care or don´t like it, leave alone and have your own individual fun!!!!!! I´m not the grandmaster here, even not the big grognard, but there are so many "bad & aggressive" forums out there, that i have to shout: please let our baby grow... not die!!! (sorry about my english) Greetings from Germany Jochen

Yeah, that´s right. SINSHEIM, take the directly exit of the highway, search for TECHNIKMUSEUM-signs. Very good museum, a lot of tanks there. Even a Panther is there at the moment. If you travel there, please send me an E-Mail, if you want, we can meet there. Bye, Bye Jochen

Hey, i live in Stuttgart - and the folks here are right - there is nothing interesting here exspecially military historical things - even the nightlife is boring. The best thing for you is to go to france, it´s very near! Greeting from Stuttgart Jochen

E-Mail information about shipping?
Jochen2 replied to Jochen2's topic in Combat Mission Archive #2 (2000)
Hi, thanks a lot for your answers. Everytime a good feeling to be in this community. Herr Mikester, herzlichen Dank, es geht mir gut. Weiterhin danke ich für Ihre netten Worte auf Deutsch! Auf wiedersehen. Greetings Jochen -
Ööööhm, well, did i understand it right, that no information is given by E-Mail? ´Cause, i preordered in May, but didn´t get an E-Mail yet, that "my" game is on it´s way. I post this question in the forum, ´cause i know that BTS is to busy at the moment to answer every singe Mail. Could anybode answer me, who is sure to get the game in the next days - if he has been informed by E-Mail about it? (My english is not the best, please forgive me - but i hope you know what i wanna say/know) Greetings Jochen
