..., hrrghm, ah yes, that´s my question. Is there any possibility to copy, convert a scenariomap into a campaignmap? I prever DYO-Scenarios, sometimes i like them so much, that a want to edit a campaign with them. You know, i´m a little bit stressed, by building them again in the campaigneditor. Hi all, is there any possibility to edit/format the text in DYO-Scenarios??? Wich programm/Texteditor is the best to use. I have problems with the texts! For example, if i try to make the startingstext in tabula (german: tabelle, grmm) the words a not exact under each other, they are scattered. So i try to correct the position of every word. I´m in this forum for not so long as Panzershark, but long enough to see, that the postings have changed in a way, that i´m disapointed, too. I think this is the way, a community has to face, when "the baby" growed up. On the other hand, the postings of some members here, are really bad! Sorry Madmatt, of cause everybody is welcome by answering me. So sorry again to all. I tried to hear from my "gods", wich are not so often here on this forum since CM was released.(Fionn, you are still present). Fionn, thank you very much for your answer. I read a lot of books about those battles you mentioned in your answer. (i made some fine scenarios...). O.k., but, isn´t it very unlucky to concentrate such a lot of men (in one of my scenarios: 2 allied riflecompanies!!) in a very small area?? You only need artillery to wipe them out. I know, that it is not simple to code an AI, and the Ai of CM is really good, but, as i said, sometimes this "infantryrush" seems not very realistic. Hi all again! I know, that this was asked a lot of weeks before - but, i have to ask now on my own again - cause, the AI (one of the best i ever played against) uses his infantry, especially in house to house fightings in human wave attacks!!! Well, i don´t think, that Germans either the Allied used their inf in this manner. Fionn, Steve, Charles please give me an answer, if this would be fixed or changed, or if you have an other opinion about this. Thanks a lot!!! Greetings form Germany Jochen P.S. I´ve seen in many games now (i like to do DYO-Scenarios) that the AI, by placing "his" units free, doesn´t use Command & Controll very intensiv. In most cases the units are out of C&C. Even after the battle, most units are out of C&C, with their platoon leaders still intact. Is it planned, to improve this? Any answer from BTS or anybody else would be very kind. Thanks a lot Jochen

How is it with saving an existing game and try to load it in the editor? It doesn´t work anymore. (Version 1.03). Somebody wrote me in the "big" forum, that this should prevent from cheating in PbEM games. Is this true?? Thanks for any answers. Jochen

Yeah! That´s my problem. Using 1.03 - if i play a quick battle i try to save it sometimes if the map is very good. I give the file a seperate name, but no success. The editor doesn´t load the file. Anybody else with this problem? Or, do i something wrong? Any answer would be great. thanks Jochen

Two days ago, i had a discussion with my girlfriend about Saving Private Ryan. The fact, that this german soldier, the guys wanted to kill, did come back to the battlefield to fight against the american heros, is a question, wich makes me agressiv. My girlfriend said, that the goal in the war is, to kill and destroy the enemy. I said, if somebody had thrown away his weapon and gives up his resistance, it is a CRIME to kill him. I don´t care about any orders, political instructions, time periods or anything else - it is a CRIME. Believe me, my family had lost nearly everything in this damned WWII (like most Germans - not only money, but familymembers and at the end ... their selfrespect). To murder people (to kill a POW is murder) is still a crime - if there is an order for it or not. I´m very interested in the military history of the german wehrmacht and the Waffen SS, but what went wrong, went wrong - without any discussion. the Germans today are very, very sensibel to everything, wich goes against democratic laws, sometimes, they are more democratic then democratic - and, we know why. WE KNOW WHY!!!! And we (the germans) have learned a lot!!! So, there is no banning of books about the holocaust, there is even now proud to our army, our history, our culture - cause those 12 damned years under the leadership of a damned idiot throws still today a very big shadow over all "good things" of Germany. Whhhhuuuuuups, ....., you know what i wanna say. Stop this stupid discussion about the guilty - you all know the answer. Thanks to the Allied armis for fighting down Germany - that the goal of Hitler never was reached. I play CM, cause i´m interested in the fighting - this BIG FIGHT called WWII. I´m not interested in crimes, crualties... even if they are a part of every war. Greetings to all Jochen

I know some (now old) people of the Florian Geyer Division. The horses were reality - No trucks - still horses. Ideal for fighting against partisans. Those horses stood far away behind the frontline, but for transport and recon they were used. Florian Geyer had heavy fightings against the russians - and against partisans. Nothing is good, what happend to civilians by the SS, but, believe me, what the partisans did, wasn´t either very human. I don´t wanna bring up a discussion about warcrime. But, especially for the Waffen-SS, my grandfather was in the Prinz Eugen Division, "by is own will"!!! - Oh my god, he was there by his own will. like many, many other native Germans (Volksdeutsche) who lived in Hungary, Yougoslawia..., they were all by the Waffen-SS by "their own will"! As you can see by my writing, this is still not true. My grandfather was forced to go, he wasn´t proud to be a SS-Soldier, he was taken as a POW by the US, they gave him to the Yougos, they hold him for 7 years in the mines of Bor. He came back as a ill, broken and disappointed man, without any property, medal or anything else but his live. And, please, still remember, he didn´t wanna go to war. O.k. that´s enough now, but i remember his words: "Boy, never, never go to the army. Never be so silly to be shot for those, who earn money with their war". Well, so i play CM today and i´m happy not to be in a real war, nor in this time period of WWII. Greetings from Germany Jochen

Use the Pausefunction. Sometimes it helps a little bit. But, your convoy will not be tight together. Hope that helps. Jochen
