i was playing a game VOT and my panther was targeting a building when a sherman moved into los then stopped and started pumping shots into my panther .my panther had LOS on the sherman but it kept shooting at the building .both tanks where sitting still. i would have thought the sherman was a bigger threat than the infantry in the building.and the sherman had hit my panther 3 times and it kept ignoreing the sherman for the infantry in the building.this went on for 50 seconds my panther pumped at least 3 4 shots into the building .i though this was strange as most times the biggest threat is always targeted.my panther was buttoned would this have been the prob.i also have seen that if say two tanks are moveing toward me and my tank or bunker was targeting something else then it sees the tanks that my unit will jump from 1 target to the next as if it cant decide what tank to shot at .dont get me wrong i think this game is amazing.just thought i would point them out .cheers

i caught the python holyhandgrenade bit . thou shall count to 3 not 4 not 5 but 3 .also i bit you may find interesting its been said that john cleese is a very boring person in real life nothing like you may think .also if you love python look out for the PYTHONIZER its a desk top set up wall paper mini games screen saver etc .you ll love the mini games and the whole cd is very very funny .

melbourne here mate keep your eye out there is a new video and small book that s called Hitlers Third Reich at newsagents first 1 cost $5 and includes a 1 hour video with each issue .so anyone interested in ww2 may like to keep there eye open for this .new 1 out each month for $10 includeing 1 hour video .by the way mine are hangin nice .or at least the one that has drop is im hopeing the other one will drop soon : ) cheers all

good ideas all . hows WW2 Jungle fighting sound not much work involved new Trees etc and maybe sandbag emplacments and would be very little to do with Tanks etc .U.S troopers are done Brits to .i think BTS should try theses ideas as everything is ready to go .as Nerves said just chance the uniforms etc and its done .dont forget to add in some aussie troopers.was also thinking about Afrika Korps too .well now we have .VIETNAM ,CIVIL WAR ,WW2 JUNGLE/JAPANESSE, WW2 AFRIKA, and RUSSIA looks like BTS wont be makeing CM 2 for a while if we have our way : ) cheers

another trick used by the tiger is to always face the enemy at 11 o clock or 1 o clock never straight on .this increases your chance of shells slideing off

its a good plan .but a good commander will protect there flanks with mines or there reserve units, heavy morters etc.and haveing played VOT over and over its easy to do due to knowing the lay of the land enemy forces.playing true blind games this would be a good plan but it could come unstuck very quick.as germanboy said imagine some mgs etc sitting back and pounding the assult.not knowing the lay of the land enemy forces etc will also be a big factor..but like i said it can be a good plan .ive seen it used over and over in VOT sometimes total destroying the german positions and other times a total failure.i do like the plan and ill be intersted to see how it goes on the new maps against a solid defence .i ve seen some players useing the human wave assult on VOT now i would love to see that type of assult and me haveing so heavy arty all those troops in a small area bang bang there wiped out : )thanx its was a great read all cheers

im in a band that is selffunded and there are many advantages to selling your own product . number 1 is the joy of knowing you have control over your product . there are also probs with selling your own product mainly the big companys dont want to know you .you are takeing a slice of there pie .they will attempt to copy you if your selling well.and your not able to sell your product in all the hot spots ,store etc.if you do say sign with the big boys there are many probs like they may give you say $7 (guessing im not in the games industry)each copy you sell .but the profit may be $14 when selling it yourself.you have no real control of the product .lets say BTS wants to add in those super looking explosives effects they do it because they think its cool and want to make There game the best it can be.the biggys may say stuff that, lets make em wait till the new mission pack comes out in 4 months time thats a extra $40 .not saying this is any games firm .im in the music industry and this is how the biggys go on ive seen it happen . they truely dont give a turd about anyone.this is why we ALL should SUPPORT BTS they are giveing us a amazing game and they deserve all the rewards this game will bring them

its all the small details that add so much weight to CM .now all the balistics etc are number 1 to get correct but with them worked out i hope that BTS work on adding more detail to the upcomeing patchs or for CM 2. 1 when buildings get hit i would like to see a damaged wall or two standing for cover. and as the damage on the building happens it would be great to see holes etc in the walls. a must have is trenchs for the russian winter campaign.and some russian tank ambush tactics like digging pits put your tank in, cover it with tree branchs then a layer of snow .all of sudden a russian tank bursts out of nowhere . would also like to see mines going off when someone stumbles into them. camo bonus maybe you could add extra camo to a AT gun etc in the form of a few bushs that would give extra bonus makeing them harder to spot ill shut up im getting carried away .i must say as the game stands its amazing and will get better and better with time thanx BTS

you have a great system plenty of everything.but i would upgrade to the TNT 32 meg Ultra card then you ll have a real nice system ,now if you add a built in Bar Fridge your on top of the world .i have a banshee a good card for what i do.but im going for the TNT 32 Ultra it seems to be the best card for a great price.no probs with the tnt its a proven card and everyone i know has them and loves theres .and with the bugger maps and mods etc i think ill need the 32 meg card to handle all the goodies cheers

have to say Panther it has everything going for it .but like most i also have a huge interest in the tigertank it ll pick you off at 2000 yards without a prob and it looks sooooo nice .and you may as well be spitting at it unless your on top of it .

yes good idea PLZ PLZ dont give away anything from the game .im in australia too and im guessing we will get the game very late compared to the rest of the universe.or maybe put the SPOILER at the very start of your post and then we can skip past and save all the secrets from getting out.thank for your post all very thoughtful of all of you to think of the people who get the game late.cheers

i have the Banshee and it works fine with the smoke ,so i would try the banshee over the voodoo 2 .only thing i have had a prob with is when i start the demo all i get is a blank black screen with the music .i have to hit the Esc button to send the game to the tool bar and then click on it and then the game is ready to go .dont know what the prob is .my banshee runs the demos very nicely but soon as the bigger maps come im not sure how it will handle them .may have to upgrade to the 32 meg TNT. cheers hope this helps .

yes i hope we see diffrent pillboxs etc i know its mainly eye candy but i was hopeing to make some maps useing defence sitiations useing diffrent types of static defences.i have tons of pictures of diffrent pillboxs etc and find them very interesting.maybe they are already in the full game . cheers

.on disc or downloaded its going to be bootleged thats a fact, there are always scumbags out there that do this stuff.in australia we get star wars bootlegs from china that come from the factory and molds that make the real ones.must be a night shift bootleg program. and ive seen in asia everywhere game cds .music etc etc for sale in the open .i think they allow this so there money stays in there country.warz sites do it just to do it and beat the next site .so all we can do is correct think with all our copys and say no if a friend asks for a copy.say im always playing CM and i have a big battle later on with a fellow from australia .that way you can force them into buying a copy and also keep them as your friend .and dont forget to show them those new explosive effects etc then they be buying a copy quick smart. cheers

i dont think anyone even the unit that lay the mines could get back through the field ,imagine if you forgot a few places you placed mines .not a nice thought.maybe they would leave a section clear that all units would know about .but a defending side wouldnt chase there attacker as they are there to hold that area and thats it i would say.just my thoughts on this hope they help cheers

in the full version when troops stumble into Mines will we see a explosion and shockwave .i have nt seen anything in the gold demo just thought it would look exellent and also aid the person who has stumbled into the mines by leaveing a pot hole etc and serve as a visial warning to keep there troops away from there . was good to read your AAR . ive got a good tip not mine but someone elses (sorry forgot who)if you have mines place them in the woods or scattered trees you think would likely be used for cover near a important entry point..now ambush any units that came near there and hopefuly the troops will panic and run for the wood and straight onto your mine field .i read someone had done this with great effect.great little tactic i thought cheers

i think we will all see these types .ive had a few already quit.although its a game i treat it as more then that .ive been hammerd and i will not quit as i feal it robs the other person of there hard fought victory.only prob ive had is finding out how to surrender should i hit a set of buttons and should i then get a surrender file so we can both veiw the stats .anyone know how to surrender in the game any ideas would be great cheers all

i think Combat mission and Panzer Elite are the best two ww2 games out .two diffrent beasts. panzer elite you can man the main guns sit in the commanders position ect .it realy is a exellent game that played over the net agaist humans is realy a heart pounding thrill.maybe try out the beta demo .not sure how to get it someone may know where to download it .its only a beta but will give you a idea of what the game in about.i dont need to tell you about Combat Mission as you have already seen the light : )im sure you will enjoy Panzer Elite cheers

Captain Foobar makes some good points . i must say ive also been in the same position ."Disregard Infantry" is higher on my list but i think it would be a good thing if smoke is layed down that you can still shot into it .you just never know your luck .good one Captain Foobar exellent ideas cheers

amazing well done .well you know that. its been said over and over.we are getting spoilt not only are we getting the best game in the world its just got better with these new enhancments.you prob have these ideas in the works but ill let you know what i would love to see . Winter Camo for Troopers Helmet covers etc for the winter battles .and sub sonic delivery to australia so i get my CM copy super quick.: ) MY MONEY ORDER IS ON THE WAY
